I wonder if the goals of Areae might be too broad?  Trying to provide a game that satisfies everyone might result in nobody being really satisfied.  I think the best products will always focus directly on a specific market; it's the old saying, "you can't satisfy everyone."

This should download just fine. It's where I downloaded it from when I changed hard drives. Pay no mind to the fact it says "free trial", it's beacause this game used to be P2p, but now the full game plus expansions is absolutely free.

To that I say....welcome to Shadowbane friend! If the things I stated before didn't run you off, then I think this game will make you feel right at home. This is definately not a game for the faint of heart (e.g Carebears). There is a lot to this game as you will soon realise. Here is a link to a great players guide, it is very comprehensive (make sure to read both pages as the second page has more info that is geared toward people just starting out on newbie island), so set aside a little time to read it entirely. It is well wriiten and informative. Make sure to share this link with anyone else who needs info on this game.

Thanks for having an open mind! That is rare these days, as you can no doubt tell, with the multitudes of trolls on this site and other forum sites as well. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I have, it is truly unique.

Shadowbane was my first, and I still go back once in a while to this day.

When it was released I would have given it a 9/10. But as it stands in the market today, due to dated graphics, i would shed a point and give it an 8/10. Shadowbane was a breath of fresh air when it was released, and still stands as one of the most original concepts ever presented in an MMO.
