We tracked that issue down to our compression software.  We have new compression appliances being installed this week so the site isn't so burdensome to our more bandwidth challenged users.

If you do see this issue again please send me the specifics.

I'm not liking the default color scheme though, and I feel that the different sections tend to blend together a bit too much. The news should also be a bit more prominent, as it's the most important feature on the site.

The new design will allow us to offer different color options much easier so be on the lookout for more theme choices!

Good point, we're bumping the forum activity above the blogs area right now.

As I'm sure most of you noticed we've changed somethings around on the site.  Most evident are the visual changes.  The theme is now easier on the eyes and more functional.  Going forward things will be much easier to change around and new themes / colors can be implemented quickly.  Anway please feel free to let us know how you feel about these changes and report any issues you come across!

Unfortunately spammers have fiqured out that taking your MMORPG username and appending @mmorpg.com gives them your local email address.  We have close to 1 million members here on the site so this is highly targeted by spammers.  We have installed a new version of the mail server a few days back with upgraded spam detection and will be working towards capturing and preventing more and more of these spam messages from hitting your inboxes here on the site.

On the brighter side of things be glad you only have ~450 spam messages in your inbox as I receive that many on my accounts in a day or less normally.

We'll actually be updating the site design in the next couple weeks and it will make things easier on the eyes which has been a complaint from multiple users for a long time.  So bare with it for a while longer, it will be changing soon.

Should be fixed up now, sorry about that.  I just rebuilt one of the webservers for the site and obviously forgot something.

Looks pretty good but what I did on my last build that increased performance *dramatically* and my satisfaction, f**k yeahs, etc. with it was adding 15k rpm drives.  7200 rpm drives these days just aren't fast enough, you've got great components just bad drive speed.  Put these 15k rpm drives ( Raptors )  in there with what you've got and it will be impressive...  They don't have incredible capacity but you can add another drive / array with more capacity at 7200 rpm for media storage / whatever.  Just be sure that your OS and games are installed on the 15k drives...

UPDATE:  I retrieved the .swf from gameads directly and scanned it locally using Avast and it came up clean.  Unfortuntely this probably means you've got problems locally on your machine.
