Bah, if your going to put that much thought into it, you can always get organic pork ya know.

The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 "Say to the Israelites: 'Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud.

4 " 'There are some that only chew the cud or only have a split hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. 5 The coney, [a] though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you. 6 The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a split hoof; it is unclean for you. 7 And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. 8 You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.

Organic or not .... the pig is still an unclean animal.

  • Eating organic pork is an excellent way to minimize risk of exposure to antibiotics, synthetic hormones or pesticides, as well as the harmful bacteria that are more likely to be found in meat produced in confined animal feeding operations (CAFO's).
  • Organic pork is an excellent source of high density protein, and provides six essential vitamins: Thiamin, 65% RDA, Riboflavin, 22% RDA, Niacin, 47% RDA, Vitamin B6, 24% RDA, Vitamin B12, 38% RDA, and Pantothenate, 10% RDA, and four important minerals: Phosphorous, 22% RDA, Magnesium, 10% RDA, Iron, 9% RDA, and Zinc, 36% RDA.

Clean or unclean, I look at the facts, not the animal.

I don´t understand why he makes yet ANOTHER fantasy mmorpg?

We already have WoW, EQ2, Vanguard, Guild Wars, Lineage 2, in a week AoC. In a couple of months WAR and eventually Darkfall...

Isn´t fantasy pretty satured by now? I would love to see more present-day mmorpg, not many of those around . Like a Call of Cthulhu online.

I would definitely play Cthuhlu online. Would be nice to play a game that has a dark theme with more modern-day settings.

Am I the only 1 who hates all of the copy and paste "Free Forever" MMOs that all for some reason stay around and all have the same stupid item shops the same stupid pick 1 of these 3 classes only and you can only change to be male or female character creation sequences, and also the same type of "We're from china and use translator programs to answer your question" tech supports? I mean, very few of them are fun for the first like, week, then you get to watch the gold sellers trickle in, then the credit card scammers trickle in, and they all end up the same, mass spammers for gold selling websites and crappy communities.

I'm sure right about now if you're actually reading this then you go, "Hey, that crap happens in games like SWG or EQ in the past" and yes, I know (I didn't list WoW because WoW is not a game, its a crappy piece of work that needs to be burned just like SoE) they all had that too, but SWG has an excuse, like going uber downhill and crashing into a guardrail at 200 mph, as for EQ...well...SOE...thats enough of an excuse right?

Another thing I hate, is WoW, it's an overanimated, overrated, piece of expletive deleted :p. It's not even a real RPG, I can get the same amount of fun out of that as I can 1 of the FREE copy and paste MMO's. Somewhere below my post, was 1 titled, "Seriously, what was the last successful MMO launch?" and the only 1 I can think of was FF Online...that was quite successful wasn't it? Or, if you even just want MMO category, go look up "Battleground Europe" it's an online WW2 simulator ($14.99 a month, current 2 week trial or summat like that) that's been around for years (although it lacks a lot and it's only the beginning of the war)  and is still fun with a strong player base that requires teamwork and tactics (and a lot of patience).

And, to apologize at the end, I'm sorry for the garbledness of all this, I'm just bored and wanted to finally rant about all this crap :p.

If it wasnt for your comments on WoW, I'd say that you had almost a perfect score regarding the Asian F2P mmo's. I do not play WoW anymore, but give it some credit. They do a lot of things right, and I had a ton of fun when I played.

I have a slight feeling that you are downing the game because of its popularity. The more people claim its the best MMO on the market, the more people are going to start hating it as well because of this. This is a guess of course, as you may have other reasons to dislike the game.

The World of Ethergia beckons to worthy Temperions to challenge the horrors that walk Ethergia’s lands. An opportunity to take up this challenge is coming on May 15, 2008.

We will begin our Open Beta test on May 15, 2008 at 7pm PDT. This Open Beta test session will be open to all currently registered accounts as well as all the new Temperions that decide to join us.

All accounts and characters will be reset prior to this test session and will be placed in a new starting zone called Truba Island.

The new Requiem game client, which is available on our Client Download Section, is necessary to play during the Open Beta test.

Please note that this is still part of the beta testing process, and as such, does not fully represent the final product. Players who participate during this period may experience some lag or connection issues as we work to fine-tune and optimize our server capacity.

If you have questions, comments or wish to stay updated on the progress of the Beta Test please Register for news and notifications or check our Forums.

Looked pretty decent, although I dont think ima play it since AoC will be out two days later (for Early Access). May give it a try once it's released though.

The subject line may seem mysterious or offensive, or even generalizing, but there is something to this point of this post. Ever since I've been playing MMOs (about 1999/2000) there's always been a significant degree of immaturity in the audience of people who have played. Hell, I was barely a 'legal' adult by the time I played Asheron's Call, and I was 17 when I started on MUDs. So, I can safely say I was an immature <bleep!> without trying to hide it. What bothers me now isn't immaturity in itself, rather the vulgarity that many people partake in almost all MMOs.

Some folks call it the Barrens Chat 'Effect', others call it the 4chan Effect, and so on. I simply call it a sign or a symptom of a sick society. What I mean by that statement that the basic issues of vulgarity found in MMOs or simply any place online is the same sort of vulgarity we find in real life. The same people who are suppose to be upstanding moral beings really turn out to be the most lecherous, despotic, and even backstabbing sorts of folks just by turning on a PC and opening up their favorite MMO game (and logging in). I don't see the reason for the behaviors themselves, other than people take a different set of standards when playing a game, or being online.

What bothers me the most is that its becoming even evident in everyday real world situations for me. Being that I am transgendered (yet I haven't even transitioned to full time, let alone make myself look female...) I get the same sort of flack that I do online now in the offline real world. Granted, I am have a minority that a great majority either find strange or possibly 'dangerous'/etc/blah-biggotry-here, but even years ago when I attempted to transition no one tried to be as vulgar now back then. What made then (the past) more different than today? Perhaps, there is something different in the past that did make a greater difference in attitude of people, but I suspect it's more to do with the fact that these same people weren't commonly online nor had the gall while online (back then) to assert their true feelings and vulgar attitudes. In essence, the online sphere of life is becoming a 'breeding'/training ground for this vulgarity (potentially dangerous to my person being of a significantly small, but visible minority) for which there doesn't seem to be much of a mechanism to stem the progression of it offline as there is online (the old ban hammer doesn't extend to the real world beyond maybe a .44 Magnum pistol).

Ultimately, I do not believe there is much that I can do beyond avoiding such people offline. As such I make this post something of a warning of what may become a truly dangerous problem in the real world, not because vulgarity itself is bad, rather that such vulgarity that I've found that parallels the online vulgarity often is backed up with real world violence or the threat of it. Being as such, I do believe it is the right of everyone to be informed of this growing problem, and even for them to attempt to refute it, which I hope someone does because I don't like my conclusion so far, not because it seems flimsy to me, rather because I keep finding evidence even when I don't look for it. In the end, it's bad news.

-- Brede

It's a very simple question to answer. Parents nowadays are raising their kids with the idea of "They should be able to do whatever they want", and thus many children (mainly teenagers) are not taught about respect and proper etiquette in any type of social environment. The things that parents allow kids to do these days would have been shunned upon during the time period of when I was raised.

The more kids think they are allowed to do, the more they will do it.... common sense I know, but reality shows the truth in bold letters. Send them all to military school where they will learn discipline and respect, and I guarantee the MMO world would become a more mature and peaceful environment to be a part of.

Agreed. Duals are much better for gaming, and quads are meant for video or running multiple apps that use high CPU power to maintain such as Graphics designing progs.

EDIT* Forgot to mention if you OC that baby to 4.0ghz+ youl be rocking at quad speeds for OPS.

I wanted to start a discussion about people's experiences (not opinions) with the two, and what benefits they have gained from running a 64-bit OS. If you have any specifics related to system performance or memory management as an example, please post below.

Sorry to ruin your initial post with us debating in here lol. I'll be making a new topic about this, and see if we can get others input on the matter.

  Post taken from vistax64:

True, the extra speed gain of x64 over x86 is marginal for now, but that will soon change.

Although x64 programs are becoming more prevalent, the market still favours 32-Bit programs (x86). When the balance tips in favour of x64, then having switched now will give you a head start over those die-hards that stuck with x86.

The largest factor in my choosing Vista x64 over a year ago was the enforced requirement for digitally signed and certified x64 drivers. This is the largest contributing factor to the improved stability of Vista x64 over Vista x86.

Memory management is also vastly improved over x86, which in turn improved multi-tasking. More applications running at the same time translates into improved productivity. For me, anyways...

My advice to you would be to stick with x64. In time, the advatages will become clearer as the market moves towards x64.

I had hopes for Age of Conan, but after playing the beta it really is just another Solo Quest game. If I wanted to play an RPG, I'd boot up the X-Ton 360 and play some Legaia.

I am talking the old days of EQ1, FFXI, even Vanguard is decent with the grouping aspects. The amount of friends you make and the experience that you obtain by grouping early on in a game is irreplaceable once you solo to max level in the new age games. I am just wondering if any of the new games coming out have the guts to deliver a true MMORPG, or just another Single Player RPG that I have to pay 15/month for.

Yet another person to judge a game that hasnt even been tested past level 20.  They already stated that AoC is solo from 1-20 "If you choose to do so", but after that, it opens up... read before you judge a game. Or at least play the game for a month.

I am in the Closed Beta, where I can play past level 20, and the entire game is solo content. So don't be so quick to judge yourself.

Sorry not Entirely solo content. But it's the same old quest solo grind that we are all so bored of thanks to WoW. Not having any forced grouping in MMORPGs is a bad bad thing.

You did not specify.... I assumed that you were talking about the Open Beta. But still, how can you expect a game to be group heavy in a Closed Beta? Once the Early Access and then finally launch date are here, expect to see a ton of more people that will be willing to group up. Closed Beta especially, contained many "testers" not players. Maybe a few here and there were only focusing on having fun instead of bug testing.
