Its a good post (content wise) just break it up a bit and people will have an easier time reading it. :)

ROFL

To emote just type /emote in the chat window and then hit tab twice, brings up a huge freaking list. More than I have seen in a lot of MMO's I have played(some hilarious ones to, like catching on fire). The other day running through Conarch Village I found a group of players standing around talking. I ran into the middle of them and started rolling on the ground screaming.. They all started laughing, pretty funny stuff..

I have a hard time understanding the love/hate of MMO's.  Well, really I have a hard time understanding the HATE part.  I don't like AOC.  The liberal use of instancing makes me feel like I am playing something more in the realm of phantasy star online.  The amount of boobs and bloods has drawn a crowd of kids only rivaled  by Disney Land.  The PvP servers are nothing but spawn camp fests.  That being said I hope everyone else that plays the game loves it and gets many years of enjoyment out of it.  I don't enjoy the game but I hope others do.  I don't see why people that don't enjoy it feel the need to try to turn everyone they can find against it.

Don't really notice a camp fest and I play on a pvp server, the first week it was but not anymore since they fixed the issue(with that aurora when you spawn/load).

Where I work(tech support for HP) I have come to realize the average person really is immature, or just plain stupid. Games further prove this, the average IQ in America has to be pretty low from what I witness at work and at home("Where's the Control panel",  "Oh, what you want me to go home? I am home!," "How do I right-click on my mouse?").

P.S. I got that last question today at work rofl, how do you explain to someone over the phone how to right-click on a mouse when they are fifty?

I don't really have this problem on Scourge, every once in a while I get some idiot saying "That was lame" or something, but I just don't reply and that's all I hear :).

Reality - this game is just as good and in many ways better than any other game on the market today.

It is the exact same people, over and over and over again, who are trying unsuccessfully to bash this game.  The free websites are the magnets for those that didn't buy the game and therefore have very limited, if any, experience with the actual game.

It will get even worse for a short period of time when the single month boxers are driven off the offical Age of Conan forum for lack of a subscription.  They too will flock here to try and bash a game that they are afraid of.

Bah, they have their agenda, but that agenda is all about keeping the status quo and has nothing to do with furthering the MMO genre.

/agree

I don't really post here anymore because of this, all the same few people(about 10-20) that keep bashing in every thread. Wow, a whopping 10-20 people.. I see more than that in my guild logged on at a given time rofl, anyways I like AoC and will continue to play it unless WAR turns out any better(not counting on it, but maybe).

I see no problem with AoC, don't know what you all are whining about. There are some things that didn't make it in the game, but most of it did. It has been the most polished MMO release I have seen in a long time to be honest, yes there are some bugs but nothing near game breaking. Anyways, now with the scheduled patches every week hopefully what was promised and didn't make it will come in soon.

I really like the game, have about 3 alts. One level 29 Guardian, one 23 Barb, a bunch around level 15(different classes I have played around with and found the Guardian/Barb my favs).

Played quite a bit this month(check sig lol), and plan to keep playing for quite a while if it keeps going down the path it is!

You do realize it's mostly the opposite on these forums right? Most posts I see are trolls trying to force you to HATE the game, not like it.

I completely agree, bad to see you go but I am in the same situation. I have tried on multiple occasions on this forum to state truth's, but trollers and fanboys seem to not care and give out false information/lies. Lately, since AoC has come out I have been to busy playing the game to really care, but every once in a while I do come back to see the same BS so I have given up on posting for the most part.

P.S. Two posts above this one is a good example of this BS.

1. Instancing. Yes it has instancing, so what? You say you can't justify this with a positive reason and  then you proceed to give the very reason why it needs to be instanced!! Odd.

2. Graphics. Yes, you will need a decent computer to run this game. The fact that YOU get a poor frame at certain parts of the game is unfortunate and I feel THIS is the reason you won't be playing. This is not a universal reason why many OTHERS should stop playing.

3. Combat. Matter of opinion. I think it's fine.

These are not really "flaws" you are mentioning really. Apart from the graphics issue that you have, these are just things to do with taste. You are obviously too entrenched in the WoW mindset to escape the shackles.

/agree, plus EQ2 does the EXACT same thing with instancing and is a MMO..

I believe the exact wording was, 'A few days, or a week if it even comes to that'?

Anyway, I've never witness a MMO that did no release with Buddy Keys.  I've never even seen a single player or multiplayer game that didn't release with a demo.  To me this is fundamental, it gives people a taste, and it gives the company a chance to show off their best.  That Age of Conan released without either a Demo or Buddy Keys shows to me, that they have no 'best' to give us a taste of.

...

"...a few days or even weeks..."  were my exact words.

As to the rest of your post. That is your opinion. Fine with me. I enjoy the game. Is that OK with you, too? Or am I a miserable fanboi for it?

No, the rest of my post is not a opinion.. There ARE battlekeeps implemented at this point, I DO have a ton of quests still and you CAN find your friends.. how is any of that a opinion?

Err....are you quoting the wrong posts? I was not talking to you sir.

My bad, though that was a response to my post.

Sorry, but no you cannot get to level 40 playing 2-3 hours a day in a week.

There are folks with level 80 characters already. There are guild leaders getting banned because their guildmates all pitched in and sent them cash while the banking system was down. There are graphical glitches up the wazoo. There are problems with the EU servers. There's a lack of coherent communication from Funcom. ... Shall I go on listing the problems?

The news is so bad coming out of AoC that the Vanguard launch is starting to look like a walk in the park in comparison. I joked that AoC would have as bad a launch as Vanguard; the reality is much worse.

These level 80 people have played non-stop for days, not casually at 2-3 hours a day. The exploit with bankers was fixed already, I have seen no graphical issues?

First , it is like a game of chance - You can have all the specs right - but it doesn't guarantee the game will work. Read the official forums. Some people are completely unable to play the game because of plethora of different reasons.

If you are the unlucky one. You will get absolutely no answer from support. Don't even hope for it.

Neither will any Funcom worker post anything on Support forum.

Second - The game seriously lacks content. When LOTRO was launched people complained about lack of content. It was nothing compared to AOC. Most of my guild are casual players. They play no more than 2-3 hours a day. They all have few lvl 40 alts. Why? Supposably when you reach lvl 40 there is no more quests to do and you have to grind 40 more levels , in few designated zones. So Funcom developed low level content and hoped to do high level later ... what new ? Leveling is to fast , and it takes a week to hit a brick wall - no more content!

Third - PVP is a joke. Click on yellow arrow next to the map and see how many instances are of each area!

I think the areas can not even support 50 players before creating another shard!

If someone attacks you, and you feel you are going to lose - click the yellow arrow and PUF! disappear to another instance!!!! And nobody can ever find you. Also good luck finding someone specific. You can not even meet your friends

Forth - Promise first , deliver later (or much later, or never) - There is no DX10 , there is no Battlekeeps...

I am very very sorry for spending my money for this game. I could have invested it in Mass Effect , even Vanguard is better investment...at least it is an MMO

Sorry, but no you cannot get to level 40 playing 2-3 hours a day in a week. I have leveled up 3 characters, one to 30, one to 20, and now one to 10. It took around 30 hours total time to get to level 30(type /played in chat). 3 hours a day would be 15 hours in a week. Also I still have plenty of quests at 30(havn't even visited anything but the conal valley, and there are quests in the three other major zones, stygia, cimmeria).  And no battlekeeps? They are implemented... You can meet your friends, add them to your group and in your group list right-click their name and there is a option to summon them to your instance. And the max players in a instance is around 98. Plus with tons of updates coming tomorrow..

we have nothing for you, so why do you keep coming to our game and make complaints about it when you do not, in fact, play it? We have more important things to do than listen to people whose only business it is to cry and whine, for example correcting bugs in the game, adding more content and improving what is there for those that -do- care about the game. /end sarcastic reply to sarcastic post

So please take this moment of time to think about why you continue placing all these posts on the board, because in the end, all it does is make you look like you can't possibly take it when other people are enjoying something you apparently can't.

Kind Regards,

Me.

Not exactly, they come out with updates every other day.. already fixed the banker exploit, and have updated a lot of issues with different zones. Not sure what you guys have been up to..

Legends of Hyperborea(LoH) is a guild for the Hyperborea server, we are currently recruiting any and all levels/classes. The guild is based around stopping griefing/ganking, and to help enforce roleplaying on the server(it is a RP-PVP ruleset). At the moment a very small guild(just a few members from my work), but plan on growing very fast. We have a dedicated website, forum, and soon will have a ventrillo/teamspeak server. We are just looking to have a good time playing, both for the casual and hardcore players. Down the road of course we plan to participate in BK's, and hope to one day be the top guild on the server.

Visit http://www.legendsofhyperborea.com for more information, and to submit a application!

- Have fun, and hope to see you in-game,

Jrout.
