They are makin so damn much money on wow as it is ,why fix whats not broke,i wouldnt hold your breath on their next mmo they prolly toss out 2 more expansions for wow within the next 3-4 years,So too them on abuisness approach they arnt gonna invest un needed resouces on another game till wow's consumer base start droppin like crazy.

Still one of the best too me one of the best for most old school mmoers just people bashing it all the hell are the dumbys who started the mmo genre with WoW so yeah it suck too them spoiled little morons who dont relize what mmo's were all about, Communit,lore and gameplay was always the big factor too enjoying a mmo now the wow players its all lvling,items and pvp.Dunno i miss the old days and some people i wish were never introduced too the great online rpg genra cause they done screwed it up so dang bad.

Sacred is great and just for the record hellgate was created by the original d2 developers just wanted ta toss that out there.

For one yes realm was commercial its was sierras online baby at one time went too codemasters now its norsemans and the game was out before uo.Its not the first mmo however its just the longest running mmo.However the playerbase are pretty much just us old school realmers who are pretty loyal too the game the game has lots of history for many of us.

FFA pvp was great back in the early days of mmos like UO mainly because people ACTUALLY RPED bad guys and would say like rob you incharacter or kill you because of some war etc etc.Now days you got nothing but a buncha ego driven kids! who do it too pester or annoy other for no apparent reason but too be jackasses.Take aoc for example i never seen so much grievin in a mmo since its release pure blood shed sure can be fun at times but not when you have lvl 50s gankin and killen people 20-30 lvls below them gets old and ruins the game play.

All about the entertainment value there no need too aim so high for uber high end consoles imo all about the fun and if ya have played uo for 10 years you of all others would know funfactor and rp what mmo are truelly and based around but nope they have been corrupted and ruined by the corporations who have taken them over.

The 1 and only thing that make WOW #1 is that its a very great looking game for low end computers so pretty much everyone can get into it all the other games out there lotro eq2 vanguard etc etc takes some good rigs too be able too play flawlessly.warhammer seems too be aiming at the same with warcraft has been aiming for low end reqs so anyone will most likly be able too play wow and war are gonna be some good contender for that.

Im 30 and so are alot of my guild mates in many games yeah i get tired of alot of the game play but if you play a mmo for whats its intended for it never really gets stale.Get a good community such as a great guild and a bunch of friends and its fun right now me bein ex military online game are away for me too keep in contact with many of my military friends because some if not all play them like wow  or eq2 i stay in contact go out play and adventure together it isnt about the uber loot or whos better at pvp,all about community.

actually blizzard got into a a lot of crap about the 2nd or 3rd week for doing it so yeah.

everygame sucks too people in these forums all these forums are anymore nothin but rants and flames about every game out.

dunno VG was bad around its release but over the year or so its gotten nice and smooth i recently just returned find it pleasurable the world is great community is even better community problably great because all the little kid who think they know what a mmo is all about left it too go play simple minded online games.Left us VG players alone .Course my gameplay style is great everygame out on the market has its ups and downs.Online games are like bait just takes the right one too hook a certain fish that bein us the players.

I 100% agree but the korean asian gaming market is a lil diffrent.Sometimes these games are fun mindless hack and slash great for some people hell i dont mind poppin on a few once in awhile.but yeah every single one that comes out they hype and over hype em then they  just seem too be the same model diffrent game engine same aspect.There a few out there that are interestin like that goonzu or whatever it is is a unique one.

I seriously dunno why anyone plays mmos now days when all you guys do is flames and bitch about everyone thats out pick one play it and stick with it quit whinen gets old after um 6 years of bein a member here.

Good post all and all but if you think an mmo is JUST a VIDEO GAME that ya master then im afraid ya in the wrong genra of game these games are meant to interact within a gameworld and play your character out.Then again most ya people who think the way you do probly either very young and dont understand what the online gaming means.And then again maybe im just gettin more mature i started online gamin back in 94-95 in the old text based games back then thats what gamin online was interactin and playin ya character out. If all you do is lvl and grind then well waste of time.

Want a huge game world great graphics lots of classes eq2 never really run outa stuff too do hell sometime you have way too much stuff too do and dont know what too di first.great game i love it.

If ya a tokien freak love the middle-earth  idea LOTRO great game and a great community matter fact both eq2 and Lortro have great communities.SOE tends too cater too the older mature people not sayin youngin dont play it and enjoy it just somethin ive noticed since i began eq1 back in the 90s.

MMo's are more of a community base genra of gaming play them with friends meet friends roleplay with friends etc etc if your bored, Then you just are not playing them properly hence its about time you move on too the console games.

Neverwinter nights 1 and 2 is your solution other than that giving players the power ummm nooo thats what the gaming companys are paid for.But buy a copy of neverwinter nightds you can make yer own little mmo and there are a few good ones left over there.

I still play the realm and the way it is going its prolly never gonna happen Norseman games is prolly one of the crappiests wanna be game companys ever, Id just wait for dark solstice but they are starten too look like a hoax and just enjoyin the attention.

heh i agree with almost 99.9% of everything thats been discussed here heh i still enjoy WoW but what kills that game the most is the new generation of gamers that play it people who play it still dont grasp the concept of a true online rpg all they care about the little online egos which in the long term destroys the old school gamers appeal too the game.
