remember the goblin island to the south of the map and the titan place in southern tanaris, forget what it's called, lost interest in the game a long time ago. when they do release the next xpac, i'll eat a pot of piccalili if it's not the same as the TBC. having one new race and class wouldn't suprise me, would save them time and effort on balancing issues, we all know how great they are at that.

After the first year or so of DAoC i felt a little like that, but i kept on playing because of the exciting RvR that was going on day after day, week after week, meeting the SAME people, with the SAME gear, it was brilliant and i loved it, along with loads of other people. One other thing to everyone; people keep comparing games to WoW because it's the only MMO/Game they have ever played. Come the next generation of gamers saying it's a knock off of game A (years from now?) and we(us daoc/eq vets) will be saying it's a "wow/eq clone(whatever)" that generation will be all "wtf, what's that? gtfo" it's a never ending circle where only the young (ignorant) voices are heard. forgot what i was rambling on about now, oh well, |

Over 7 million playing WoW, why even make this game?
General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 5/23/07 7:29:38 AM
isn't the reason why loads of people call it a wow clone is because the vast majority are 12-18 year olds that have never played any other MMO/Game besides wow? Dunno, just my thought. It's going to be the same forever, in years to come it will be "ooh game a is clone of b" *next years go by* "ooh game b is a clone of c" etc? maybe i'm dead wrong o_O Anyway back to work. |

Hello, I'm looking for a US east coast guild to play WAR with. Unfortunately i won't be a "hardcore" player in this Mythic game like i was for 4 years in DAoC( DAoC was my first MMO and stayed loyal to it, like i said, for 4 years, i then tried various other mmo's until WoW came out and played it religiously for 2 years (i think, got so engrossed not sure how long i was on it for Been following WAR for quite some time now, and can not wait for it to come out. I'm 24 years old, British(I live in Philly though), and looking for a guild that has a mature player base, and will plan on being involved in pvp a lot (as it's a main feature of the game!) I'm a support player as I enjoy keeping my guild and party alive in tense situations, (espcialy in pvp, it can be quite a rush and a nice feeling coming away on the winning side because I've kept everyone (i hope!) alive. I'm currently running an 19" WS Aurora mALX laptop: AMD Turion64 ML44 2.4ghz, 2 gig ram, and dual gf7900 sli with 1gb total mem Thanks for your time. |

I've just quit.
The game just doesn't hold any interest for me what so ever anymore, even with the kiddiecrusade. My real main dislike is the pvp system, I just find it pointless. CTF? I mean comon. But I'm glad it's sparked new life in a few people :) I also have a few friends that have done exactly that, and are liking the game again, unfortunately it doesn't have that effect on all of us :( Enjoy your time playing again |
