oakthornn	How can you hate a game so much? Ganarethian Hideaway (General) « Dark and Light 6/07/06 3:14:24 PM The game has serious issues....full functionality is not there, the game is not stable for release.!!!!! Thats the issue people have problems with. They have been working on the game for years and it has not gone anywhere, there are still huge problems in the game from years ago. No matter how you look at that, its not good from any angle. Making claims its going to get better are just hopeful wishes. Based on their track record not alot is going to happen in the next few weeks unless they really really really really really really try to start fixing stuff. Theres a massive patch scheduled to be released over the weekend..I'm still hoping for the best since theres no other MMO I wish to play right now.. Luckily for me,my computer got fried last week due to the massive thunderstorm in my area,so right now I'm waiting on my new Nemesis AMD 64 3500,,,1536 ddr ram,,Nvidia 7300gt 512 160 gig HD asus motherboard to come in.. So,I haven't had the luxory to play DnL yet which is probably a great thing.. Perhaps after the patch,we'll see some much needed improvements..
oakthornn	Beta Testing General Discussion « Lord of the Rings Online 6/07/06 3:02:11 PM Public Beta has not started yet.. At this stage, Turbine is testing the game in house only..Hopefully public beta will start soon If they plan on meeting their deadline with a Q4 2006 release..Its June right now,which gives them approximately 6 months to get this game released... Somehow,I highly doubt it will be done by then..

Thank god for that! I'm still looking forward to Vanguard and its still the number 1 game on my hype list predated 2 years ago and now..

It sounds to me that WOW would be more to your liking..Its the easiest MMO out there for simple minded people to enjoy..But its also somewhat fun as well until u hit level 60.. uwouldnt like the end game cause most of it probably would be a timesink in your life.. Everquest was the greatest MMO ever released and half of the game was a timesink,basically getting from point a to point b or camping a certain mob for days just to get a piece of armor or weapon u wanted.. While people complained about running around for 20 minutes,and camping mobs for 24 straight hours,it was still the most addicting MMO ever released... Vanguard seems to be following in EQ's footsteps mainly because the creators of EQ are working for Sigil... I still believe Vanguard will even top EQ as the greatest MMO ever released.. But,thats just my opinion,along with thousands of other people.. Personally,I'm glad u think Vanguard will suck..Thats one less whinner and carebear crybaby playing this game..

Which could result in a free month or two months subscription to compensate us on such a horrible and unfinished product... That may be the only way to keep the players from leaving which should hopefully give the DEV's the adequate time to work out as much kinks as possible while slowly adding more and more content to make D&L as successful as possible..

And you along with everyone else is absolutely right..There should be no excuses given to explain why Farlan is so far behind in their production of D&L..Its been in development for what,,,7 years now? But one thing we all don't know for sure is if SOG is actually D&L without all the features.. Thats probably one reason people still haven't given up hope yet..We all want to see exactly what were getting when were able to play on the 5th...

I think thats what most should do. Let them work some of it out before it has a chance to disillusion you right away. I guess u can call me a VERY impatient person since I always purchase MMO's the day they're released..I did that with DAOC,SWG,Horizons,AC1,AC2,Shadowbane,EQ2, and WOW..The only two games I actually waited on was EQ Live and UO..Only because I was still playing Asheron's call and UO when EQ first went live..And I didnt know about UO until a year after it was released... And the funny thing is,I played EQ Live and UO longer than any other MMO released lol.. And those happen to be the only ones I didn't buy on the first day it was released,hmmmm.. Perhaps that should tell me something. But I'll just ignore my feeling and waste another 50 dollars on something I'll most likely be quitting anyway when Vanguard and AOC comes out if not sooner..
