I guess I should have mentioned I had downloaded the correct client and I made a new account and can play this, but thats not the account with my lvl 70 on - SOE seem not to work weekends so by Monday it will be nearly 3 days and I haven't been able to play, such is life :)

On hearing Everquest 2 had went f2p and had merged the old live version with extended I thought I would relive some old memories and login using my old account but just go free for the time being, but when I try to log in I get an error saying "You need to setup a subscription." er I thought it was free?!? can anyone assit me as I get this error when I try to log into the official forums too..

My first MMO was DaoC and I fell in love with the green land of Hibernia and played it from 2002-2006 fantastic memories and my current partner I met through the game too - so many good memories *sighs*

Is there an offcial Torrent which has the entire patch in one lump sum, or must I trawl dodgy websites downloading dozens of indivual patches?

I've been patching now for 5 hours and have downloaded a grand total of 13.2% absolutely rediculous, I expected to come home, install/patch the game and be up and playing in 2-3 hours, but at this rate I wont be able to play for 3 weeks :(

I too and many of my RL friends would play DaoC 2 if it ever got released - Still the best MMO I had the pleasure of playing :)

Oh the fantastic memories Daoc brings back, It was my very first MMO and I had nothing but fond times.. Er I think I was one of the few that even enjoyed TOA, though I didn't like NF.

Would welcome a Daoc 2 immensly, I made many friends playing it and all would come back for a second stint of Daoc action if fressh sequel was brought out :)

Good to see DaoC plugging along, If I could transfer my Euro Character over to this US cluster I would do so in an instance, but I realise this is impossible and the thought of going through MLs all again just puts me off..

But I keep getting the red error next to the gamename I select, "That is anot a valid gamename." I have tried every mmo name I have ever used & none have ever been refused before, no profanity, racist or sorta conduct in my names, whats going on a known bug or?

TIME FOR A HISTORY LESSON

Way back in the day, 1990´s to be more specific. Games Workshop decided to expand into the Growing PC Game Market, So they Decided to team up with Blizzard. At this point in time Blizzard had not even made the original Warcraft, and heres why. Blizzard was hired to do a RTS style Game Based on the WHFB´s IP, some time during the development stages GW Canned the Whole Idea of a Warhammer RTS. Some time After this Blizzard comes out with their WarCraft Series, which in itself sucked ass. Then they came out with Warcraft 2, this is where Blizzard stops using their own shitty ideas and starts to steal the GW IP and just call things different. Games Workshop Filed Several Suits against Blizzard but because they had Changed names and such nothing could be done, Untill. When WarCraft 3 came out the Humans originally had a unit called the Steam Tank (sound familiar), untill now GW didnt have anything to File suit against with, Gamesworkshop soon sued Blizzard for intellectual Property Theft and won, forcing Blizzard to Change the Name of the ¨steam tank¨to the ¨steam ENGINE¨. Henceforth Blizzard has also been forced to Pay GW for Damages due to their Blatant theft.

I hope that has been Enlightening to you WOW gamers that dont even know that youre playing a half assed rip off of the WHFB IP.
