First of smily, you listen and you listen good, i wil lstart with you first.  Whether or not a parent buys it for their child is their decision if they want to place a credit card in their childs hand, especially after seeing the game? i would never let my child play AoC period. For the game is to "Graphic" and nudeity in nature. RATED M FOR MATURE. there is a FINE line between IDIOTS and CHILDREN. i can handle an idiot, i can handle a moron, atleast they can understand what im saying. but i do not  like being on a headset haveing an adult discussion with a buddy of mine, and then realise, oh! hey! there is a kid in here, maybe i shouldn't say this. Most children will not understand this basis. sure, they are good at shooters, sure they are good a Blizzards games. but some of these they don't have the patience for, EvE is a good example. EvE takes alot of time to play let alone "master" the child will give up and done it's over with. I'm tired of getting a group broken and there being "peak times" for players because some children are in bed and i can't find a group for something.

This makes and breaks the economy. who in gods name would have fun with a game when they can't do much of anything in it because it's a TEAM based game??? no one that i know of. "bedtimes" believe it or not make it and break it. really, im sick of baseing my playing around a childs time, im sick of in the end have a group break because some kid has to do their homework because they rebelled against their mother. i can deal with an asshole in a group just because he wants to be a dick and F*ck around with me because his ego is showing. i don't mind that but atleast i was able to have some fun, achieve something.  If funcom makes this to where i can get something done solo atleast so be it.

 

But with these "HUGE" guild resources to build this crap? this will never be achieved. maybe sanguiphoria might achieve this because they have alot of mature members. BUT A GROUP OF TEN OF YOURS FRIENDS WILL NOT COMPLETE THIS. this is not world of warcraft damnit, this is not everquest or SWG. this is NOT DAoC this is NOT final fantasy. and for gods sake this is deffinately not guild wars. all of you get that through your head. this is a player base with a HUGE COMMUNITY. HUGE I SAY! if you need THAT many people to do stuff liek this. The merge with console and Windows will FAIL.

Well This is kind of odd because when i went back and re-read your post i thought you were talking about you not liking console games yet in the post above when you were asked why you didnt like games on the console you replied by talking about how you dont like little kids. That was completly off topic by what I can see.

        Now If you meant that console's have alot of little kids then I'm curius ware you got your information from because most console gamer's are over 18 (Got it off the xbox.com website awhile back).

alot of people tend to forget that the main reason that alot of the popultaion is gone is bacause alot of the gold framers have left. I do beleive that they are slacking a bit but i dont beleive there 'trying' to kill there game. It has to do more with there custimer support being to small for such a large population. They dont respond to any ban appeals becuase they feel that things like tech support are more important. Most things how ever are just respawned to with automated messages that dont really help much. Jagex has expanded so fast that they are unable to manage there game properly anymore.

            Also, they have been focusing hard on removing goldfarmers from the game. The gold selling companies have been making almost double the amount of money as jagex.

That is a common problem. AO Is acually free to play but the expansions are pay to play. But playing without the expansions isnt a big deal.  Ill always recommend EVE online 14 day trial. Its not free to play but its worth gining a shot if your into hardcora to the extreme pvp.

I will also have to admit as a EVE player that the main reason that EVE won was because EVE players acually care enough about are game to take the time to vote and spread the word.

Also about being smapped by isk sellers. It will stop after a little while. It seems like they do that a lot to noobs.

Anyhow what really got me was how the heck do you exit the darn game?i had to cntrl alt del to the task manager,geesh.I finally tried to do a mission and finally found one agent.That part took a full day to even realize there was missions and that io needed to find an agent somewhere,as my starting area had no agents other than tutorial agent.The first mission was easy i went killed a few ships and returned.The second mission made me quit the game lol,ya i know no patience.Wait. Didnt you just say in paragraph one that you didnt find the tutorial useful? Well if you did the tutorial you would know how to run and keep track of your mission. You would have learned how to use your journal. Comes in handy. Also when you said ya i know no patience. Well then EVE isnt the game for you. EVE requires a lot of patience i believe.Hell Theres kills that can take up to 2 mounths to train. If you cant spend an hour or so on one mission how are you going to be able to wait 2 mounths.

Actually i have a fair bit of patience but ,when i returned thinking i was done the mission,the agent said i had to deliver some humans or something to him to wich i found none when i searched the empty vessells after i killed them.No where could i find any detailed explanation of my mission at all.So i was left in the air as to what i was missing or should do to follow it up.Once again do the tutorial. You probebly had to look in one of the habitats or something.

I think all in all the game is quite outdated and the detailed explanations are lacking.By outdated i mean the animations are almost non exhistant and really that's all the game would have going for it.You spend all your time trying to gain ISK by whatever means ,and then get a better ship.After weeks of playing this game you have got to be bored with mining and upgrading ships can keep you entertained for only a short time. So here goes... First, sorry if EVE doesnt have magic pixies flying around it instead we got drones. Sorry we would rather use missles instead of fire balls. and sorry we rather be protected by 3 feet metal shell then in a cloth robe with fancy colors on it. EVE is about skill not trying to look "omg uber 1337". Also EVE isnt all about making isk. If you ever read a reveiw about the game you would understand that. EVE has one of the most amazing pvp combat out there. If anything you should say EVE is all about politics.

The massive amount of skills really is masked content because there is only two real ideas in the game>>>battle ship or mining.Spend your whole game building a great mining rig or a great battle rig,but after you get either or the animations that follow up battles or mining are so weak that the reward doesn't matter.The game for people who like to just mess around flying a space ship i'm sure it's enough satisfaction but for content/graphics/animations there isn't much there.I would have at least expected to be able to get out of your ship an walk around the space stations,but nope nothing to do at all there.Acually your wrong here also.  The key is to specalize. Im currently working my way up to being a great logistics support(thats EVE for healer class basicly).You could also spec as a tackler, recon, miner, manufacture, trader, mission runner, Capitol ships (hard), Carriers(hard IMO), explorer,  Sniper ships, support cruiser, and more. Also they are coming out with an expansion to let you leave your ship(I dont know what people obsession with that is though.)

This game is one of those i would have to say COULD have been great with some decent content to backup the huge world,and adding in some diversity like walking around the planets and space stations just for starters.Oh well i hope i didn't make anyone angry that likes the game,there's just not enough there to keep me entertained.For those that like it ,peace and enjoy.Wrap up: Well first once again being able to walk around stations will be added later. Also really you need to get out of high sec and experiance 0.0 life.  the game has so much content but you have to discover it. CCP wants to challenge there games and not just hand them everything on a silver platter like most other MMO's. lol these have acually been out for over 2 weeks or so. MMORPG.com is just a bit slow. Still good video though. I'm not a big fan of character art though i wish they would show more in game graphics. I love the podcasts i wish they did more of those.

Im not usre acually. It does have alot more subs then most games out there. Look at statistics on alot of websites. Im guessing that the fact its a browser based game most Websites and reveiwers wont give the game a chance and blow it off. As for gamers(like you) They dont give the game a chance do to varius reasons like graphics or the point and click. But really if you gave the game a shot you would see why there are so many subs.Well that is before this patch

Believe it or not most sub counter webistes say Runescape has the second mst subs or all mmorpg

EVE-Online Seems to fit perfectly in place with what your looking for. Ive been playing for 6 mounths or so and from alot of people that Ive talked to that played UO they said its basicly like UO in space.

Just a FEW Features:

-Theres no levels.(You buy skill books and they learn by them selves)

-Very little grind.(Your always required to do something different)

-Completely player run.(Economics, Politics, History)

-Intense PvP(If you die you lose everything thats on you(Major Alliances of up to 1k plus members fighting over systems.))

Well though out the FF series you always had to party. FFXI is the same way. YOU MUST PARTY TO GET AHEAD IN THE GAME. If you try to solo at all you will fail. From lvl 1 to lvl 9 you can solo but after that you MUST go to the dunes and find a group of people and money will come pretty easy. If you cant afford atleast beetle armor at lvl 25 then your doing something wrong. Also, did you get your sub job? that will help you alot.

I do love Warcraft 3 but I cant really say i enjoy Dota that much. Its a good game but people act like its the best game on bnet. Theres many better games out there in WC that dont get the credit they deserve.

Ive noticed this as well. with what ive seen and heard your going to start out with a set of armor and advance with that armor as you go through the teirs and the armor will look different in each teir. IF this is true everyone will look pretty much the same and it will get boring haveing the same armor the whole time. I like to have a choice and there will be little here.

Ok listen. Titians are the most powerful ship in the game. there are only around 5 totoal in all of eve and eve has been around since 2003. dont expect to get one...ever...period...never ever. They take a group of atleast 1000 people mining for a long time to earn enough to build it. Building one takes like a year or so i heard. thats including th blue print and stuff. I titian isnt something that you can just go out and buy. This thing is epic. Take your little noob ship and multiply that times a million and thats the size of a titian(maybe even bigger).  And about your question about soloing with it i have one thing to say- BWHAHAHHA. But seriusly a titian is nothing more then a sign of power and streangth in an allience. I moves so slow that it takes like 10 minutes or something like that to warp. Also if you get a titian you basicly keep that character logged out forever because you cant really do much with it. you cant dock a titian in a station and it doesnt disappear wen you log out .

Although POTBS looks like a good game Id have to stick with EVE do to the fact that I'm refusing to play any more fantasy games. Ill only do modern and future MMO's.

PS: I consider past MMO's to be fantasy. Thats my opinion
