Out of the nine total dungeons planned in the initial release of World of? Warcraft's fourth expansion, Mists of Pandaria, the last of which is the Stormstout Brewery...? and his brewery has been overrun by the Verming and Hozu.

Or overrun with rabbits and monkeys. Really? The best thing they could come up with for the top dungeon in initial MoP is rabbits and monkeys.

Are you freaking kidding me, the mortal enemies of the pandas are rabbits and monkeys.

Now this couldn't have anything to do with the law in china that animals can't be portrayed as dominant over humans, nah!

So I take it you're not going to play then?

Love it or hate it the facts are Mists of Pandaria has caused a huge amount of negativity on the internet . In the event the expansion underperforms in terms of units sold should Greg Street be fired from his job as lead systems designer of World of Warcraft .

I disagree. I don't think a persons career and lively hood should be threatened over something like this. If it fails, it fails but lets be honest here, MOST (Not all so calm down and I also don't care about how many of your WoW playing friends said they're going to quit, they don't represent the majority) of the people coming down on the games new expansion already do not like the game anyway.

Of the millions that play, yeah a good number will scoff at it but continue to play anyway and a smaller number will quit. But others will start and even more will return to try it out.

When my MMO has a cute stuffed animal on the character selection screen, it's time to move on.  But that's just me.

If you're not a girl aged 6 - 12, why would you play a Cute Stuffed Animal race in your MMO?

Also, has Blizzard explained why they are taking inspiration from the stuffed animals on kids' beds?  If Blizzard has justified this direction, can someone provide the link?  I'm not asking for your opinion on why Blizzard is doing this - I want to read / see something directly.

Just curious.

Why are you a closed minded smeghead?

I will never know the quirks of Battlelog because I will never give up my right to privacy thru the use of the required origins client. Same reason Steam is not installed on my system.

Then why bother posting here? Get off the internet completely infact.

they're letting the press give full BETA access reviews?  For those of us that pre-ordered right away but still are sitting on our thumbs, I think this is a slap in the face.  The game is 2 months from release and it's gonna be in freakin' open BETA by the time some of us get invites it seems.  What a pathetic marketing scam.

Or, DON'T WORRY!  We'll get ya in one 2 day closed BETA weekend!  The last one!

If they don't have the capacity to hold all the pre-purchases by this point, their infrastructure is in some serious trouble.

Boo-effing-hooo. Just another game.

I do like however that you try to cover up the fact that you just bitched about not being in a beta with your last line about server inftrastructure. Too bad you sound like a complete whiny bitch in the first to make it believeable.

*lol* the easiest game ever gets even more easy. Whatever if this crap doesn't make it into other games I couldn't care less how Blizzard is planning to make their own game into  CoD online.

While not a WoW fan, going to have to disagree with your comment still. This feature has zero impant on the difficulty of the game. Just allows people to get together for raid content easier.

Just an easier grouping ability man, that's all.

Just like there are different types of vampires, there are different types of zombies.

For example, Brian Keene's zombies from his The Rising and City of the Dead books would destroy vampires hands down. They were esentially intelligent demons taking over a body after its soul has departed (died) They could think, speak, organize and even had a leader.

lol having to type /quit to exit a game is absolutely rediculous, everquest didnt even have that problem and that game is older than daoc... Pro Tip to daoc devs: REMAKE YOUR UI OR YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A GROWING POPULATION, UI is one of the first things a player sees when they start a new game...  this is just 1 of the many problems this game has.

Dont get me wrong i love this game to death, but its slowly dieing because the daoc team are just clueless.

Bloody shame.

Funny how the post after yours says there is a button in the UI you can use to exit the game. Hell, I haven't played DAoC since high school and I even remember using a quit button. How can you love the game and call the devs clueless when you didn't even know that? Pot, kettle, black. Figure it out.

A single GTX 460 will run anything out right now....

I do believe "What Would WoW Do?" is printed on the office walls at Bioware, and so I dismissed the game initially. All recent themepark MMOs look to WoW, but SWTOR is staring. And if there's one MMO I'm sick of, it's WoW.

But now I'm having second thoughts. You see, one of the main reasons I got so bored with WoW was that it turned me into an MMO-questing machine. You worked through your list of (daily) quests and signed on for random dungeon or battleground instances. It wasn't a world anymore, it was a lobby, filled with chores.

Here I hope SWTOR will be different. With all the dialogue voiced, the sheer quantity of quests will probably be lower. Combined with the story focus, we'll probably see fewer quest givers but with longer quest chains. This alone will help a great deal: the main reason I don't bother reading quests is that you get them 10 at a time, and they're usually one-off tasks with little to no follow-up.

Secondly, there's the fact that you get your own starship and companions/crew. I was actually quite pleased when I read about the Crew Skills and how they work. It all helps with the immersion, and it also means that a lot of the "chores" can actually be done by your Crew. Same goes for the PvP objectives, where effort was made to make them fit in the world. It is this focus on immersion that I think will help make SWTOR an MMORPG instead of just an MMO, which was really my main beef with WoW all along.

I can't beleive how many people are actually off put from the entire game for one warzone. It's petty.

Well the conceptual Han Solo was a jedi with a blue lightsaber. Just saying....

Saying it doesn't make it true. FRAPS please.

Pay to win what? Last time I was around, the PvP aspect was pretty much deserted as is.

Been playing Eve since beta. Did the 15 day trial for PO. Sticking with Eve.

PS: I don't have a problem with the current vanity items in Eve's MT store. Until they actually do implement buying ammo and ships that just so happen to give a distinct advantage over what I can already get in game, or start selling SP, then I'll have a problem with CCP. Until then, no reason to bitch. I know I know, it's a rumor they haven't denied yet, blah blah blah. It's not in yet though.

so yout hink the greed is a good thing  it isnt fyi

Greed is the reason we have Eve or video games/mass entertainment in general. Greed is why we have computers, why you eat more in a single meal than some people eat in a week. Greed is why we have these fancy smart phones and tablets. Greed is why you're driving around in a car/truck. Greed is why you wear name brand clothes. I could keep going but I hope I made my point already.

And I'm sure people will argue that some of these things were created not because of greed but because of the desire for innovation and achievement. Not going to argue that point. We all have these available to us now because someone knew they could make a buck off of it though.

Not really.  Believe it or not, some people actually do the things they do because they want to, NOT because they're compelled to make as much money as possible.

I assure you, people don't play music because they're greedy.  Or write books that will most likely yield them maybe 22 cents per hour invested, if anything.  Or become firemen.  Or cops.

If greed was truly the main motivating factor for productivity, people would all do the same thing:  whatever it is that makes the most money.  And they also wouldn't have any of those nasty, resource leeching kids...

Your arguement has one fatal flaw...

True, the people producing may not be motivated by making as much money as possible. However, they are under the watchful eye and guidance of those who are.

This is exactly the point I was triyng to make. The inventor/artits may do what they do for non greedy/monitary reasons but in the end, they want their product to get out to others and to do so they have to go through others whos sole job it is, is to market and sell the hell out of the product and thats who we ultimately recieve the product from.

I'm pretty sure they stated it was a mutual decision, not just LucasArts saying, "You fucked up the game, time to call it quits in lieu of our new blockbuster."

Besides, SWG is a shell of what it was, like they stated in the interview as well. It's never recovered from NGE. I for one, doubt it could have. They turned a game completely inside out without regards to their community. Big no no.

SWG is actually much better than it was at NGE launch. Some would argue that it is the best it has ever been due to the dungeon and PvP content that SWG never had until now. People forget how grindy pre-NGE was.

All of the some may argue that its the best its ever been but look at the sub numbers.

So you're afraid that if TOR becomes unsuccessful in the future and costs more to maintain than possible gain, that it'll be shut down? I know some will argue that SWG has enough subscribers to currently maintain a small profit but what about when TOR hits? Then SOE and LA would be stuck with an updated contract that would be costing them more in the long run just to keep SWG going. They did the smart thing. SWG wasn't a terrible game but it did go way down hill with NGE. This proves it.
