[Review] World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria: Great Fun, But Flawed
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 11/18/12 10:43:18 AM
i think world of warcraft is the best mmo ever made and i have played them all. they all have a boredom factor but WOW keeps making it interesting with well thought out and planned expansions. I have played WOW from the first day and still love it. Yes you have to grind but all other MMO's just disquise it or out and out copy it...I will keep trying the new ones in hope that someday someone will make a better MMO than WOW.

General: Redundancy, Repetition, Grinding
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 8/09/11 6:52:35 PM
yes mmo's are redundant, but WOW at least keeps that redundancy interesting. I cracked pc gamers october issue today and all i saw was redundancy. same old games just redone with a II or III after the name. it appears that the publishers are afraid to go after anything new and interesting or adult. it is tiring endless updates to old games. for now i will stick with WOW a game i love to play and that does everything that the other games do. |

Aion: December Address Reveals Paid Services
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 12/29/09 8:31:33 AM
it seems every game i play nowadays is trying to rip people off for more money. from WOW to Sims 3, if you want the extras you have to pay for them. even faCEBOOK games are part of the rip offs. don't game companies understand that we are in a serious recession? they should consider themselves lucky that we are investing in the game. I am starting to drop games that want money for basic things. runes of magic is gone , conan is gone, sims 3 is gone. so folks want me to play your game? No frigging hidden charges please. |

Lord of the Rings Online: Siege of Mirkwood Interview
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 11/10/09 8:37:34 AM
while i think most changes are great and finally the mount changes. what i would like to have seen is some change to the housing situation. to be able to place furniture when and where you want as in other games like UO and runes of magic. i don't really understand why this hasn't been fixed as it is already instance driven. this is a game i have enjoyed immensly. is their going to be more hobbies or is fishing it? One other thing , please don't go the route of WOW with an in game store that sells pets. |

i think i was one of the first players of conan and found it boring. limited quests and lots of problems initially just turned me off. i think i lasted about two weeks and finally quit. when i play an mmorpg i play at least 8 hours a day sot it takes a lot to keep my attention. |

General: A Tribute to Gary Gygax 1938 - 2008
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 3/11/08 7:24:59 AM
I got to know D & D through my son. i am roughly the same age as gary so it is interesting that i grew in to mmorph's. I started playing D&D with my son and then it wasn't long before the whole neighborhood was involved. those were fun days. I was always the DM, i guess because i was able to use my imagination the best. My son and three daughters plus all the surrounding kids played every saturday and sunday and were always wanting more. we had all the figures , all the maps, and other paraphanalia and still have it all packed away. My son and i eventually grew into computer games and then into mmorpg's. we still play every day. he is in japan and I here in the US. SO thank you very much Gary for a life full of rewarding experience. god bless you. |
