Man1ac	No Character Transfer? Lion's Arch (General) « Guild Wars 4/26/07 6:01:01 PM I know it's been said over and over again but it's pretty annoying just thinking about it. I've overall put 976 hours into GW and I'm pretty annoyed but i know people (not naming names) who've played GW 3000-5000 hours believe it or, got every skill under the sun, progressed all their chars. through all 3 games. Now all that hard work is going to nothing when GW2 is coming out, and furthermore they'll be closing the GW server closely after GW2 comes out? I mean I really appreciate the fact that Anet are keeping the franchise monthly fee free but I don't really want to start from scratch when gw2 comes out. Forgive me if I'm being ignorant but I'm quite confused.

You take WoW, add a new template, change the theme a bit, and you have LOTR online. I do, however, give credit to the research gone into the developement. Making your character names have to follow Tolkiens guidelines was a good attempt to create a solid roleplaying environment. However, for a game that seems to be aimed at the WoW community, this is completely uneeded. Sorry devs, the fellowship has been broken Erm. Tolkien didn't write scripts of how exactly to make an MMO for LOTR did he? Besides this is a MMO mate, the devs can chuck in all the content that couldn't be added in the films not any of the other LOTR games.

I've ordered my copy today and I hope to have an enjoyable experience playing LOTRO, (i missed the open beta because i've been close beta testing TcoS)

Also I feel sorry for the poor parts of the world where people have gold farming jobs and farm day in day out just to get about 10p an hour.

Secondly it's pointless to make me own build it's just better to live with it, I never said you always are in hard mode but when i USED to farm dragon mosses it was second to none now i get a lot less, 1/8 chance is a lower drop rate isnt it? So if I don't know much you must be absolutely clueless. Period.
