Dawn of War, I had some amazing online matches in that game, it was my first experience of using TS too, hehe.

I'm sorry to hear that, I haven't been impressed by some of the things EA have done in the past, but they're too big, if I were to boycott their products, I can't play games like Mass Effect and Fifa 12 lol.

Dude, out of every particular part of one posting in a forum you decided to find THAT annoying...seesh. I agree with Bren, you're being very anal about it, whether it's proper writing etiquette or not, who cares? It's trivial.

Things which annoy me are posts such as:-

• Someone who's too lazy to briefly check their spelling before they post or don't use paragraphs, makes reading what they've put a bit annoying(I'm aware that there are people who's first language isn't english but you can tell since they won't just have spelling mistakes, they'll struggle with the grammar too, so I can tell who's just lazy)
• Talking about an article one has read but being too lazy to put up up a link
• People who keep creating SOPA threads even though they know it's gonna get locked, MMORPG.com have changed their policy on Politics and Religion because the thread usually gets out of control, you wanna bitch about something political/religion related use a different forum

Urgh, The Jeremy Kyle shoe is a fucking disgrace, can't believe people watch that horrible show.. Deal or no deal is also a joke, they spend an hour opening 22 boxes, which can be done in 5 minutes, and here's the best part, if they accept the bankers offer, they pointlessly finish off the game anyway just to see if they made a right choice...Noel it's a game of chance, not skill you idiot. But here's the best one, they sometimes get an offer to SWAP two boxes, I have absolutely no idea wtf is the point of that...

If you guys are interested in watching a decent british sitcom, check this one out, start watching it from series 2, the first one wasn't really that good

Super duper graphics haha I like that. Yea, if anything it's all about games like CoD MW3 and Crysis which test your rig, MMOs are generally for low-med spec rigs. Don't think the GW2 devs will be indulging too much into top notch graphics, mind you, by the looks of it, probably will be the best MMO graphics wise when released.

No...just no. According to his website no MMO is worth playing because there will always be a few threads of someone moaning about how terrible the game is, it didn't used to be like that. Go onto the SWTOR forum, apparently the game is completely awful, if I read those threads I wouldn't have gotten the game, yet I did.

And Guess what, the game isn't completely terrible, it's quite fun, ok sure the RPG side doesn't match the amazing stoyline BioWare usually produce like e.g. Mass Effect. But the storyline isn't completely "pathetic" and there isn't a population problem since I haven't had trouble grouping, and also It's MMORPG.com, not HarcoreMMORPGers.com.

Uhm fire to cool your cpu, how does that one work? You could try using the technology of water cooling to developing a system for liquid nitrogen cooling, probably not economically feasible as a hobby.

It is impossible for this game to live up to the hype it has generated. It has been romanticized to a fault, and the expectations people have put on it go way beyond what a game can pull.

You will not wake up twitching to try to get your dose of GW2. You will not sleep better because of your accomplishments in game. You will not give up your job, family, friends and physical well-being just to get in a few more hours of game time.

The prior example was just an exageration to put "hype" into perspective. The ultimate game should be able to completely suck you in to the point that you do just what I have stated before without even realizing it. Like the most intense of drugs, it should make you do things you wouldn't normally do. That is the type of stuff that WoW did to many in the gaming community... check out WoW's current hype... Then come look at GW2's hype and tell me you expect it to do better than that.

All that aside, the real reason it should not release is because of the quote I did before: You NEED to have an ultimate goal as to what you want a game to be. A holy grail of gaming to come (but that never materializes). Once GW2 releases, the disappointments accross the board are going to be increadibly large. The bugs, the exploits, the cheats, the gankings, the unfair advantages, the tweaks, the nerfs... IOW, the REALITY of MMORPG gaming will kick in. While its in development you can easily ignore all those things and make the game to be the best that will ever come out. But once it is out, its all over. No pleasant feeling of an upcoming game, no daydreaming of how the PvP will go, ...

GW2 should stay in development ad-infinum just to keep the gaming community hoping for a good game in the future, in order for them to not realize that their current gaming is about as good as things will ever get and not drop into a gaming depression. Having a "goal" keeps the MMORPG gaming community healthy as they continually try to find justifications for why their current or future or prior game was the best there ever was/is/will be.

Yea I realised the flaw in the poll as soon I was about to answer it myself, so in this case, The nope is for people who bought SWTOR regardless and ones who haven't bought SWTOR at all, it screws up the percentage but at least I can put a number on how many people have done what I've done.

I've been waiting for a while for GW2, I retired from GW a while back and tbh I tried a few MMOs but didn't quite enjoy any of them enough to continue playing after the free 30 trial.

Since there hasn't been a relase date announced yet, a good guess would be that the game won't be out till a good few months have passed. So I decided to read a few some reviews on SWTOR and they seemed pretty good, I mean tbh £40 for the game and a £9p/m sub is quite hefty compared to the policy of no subs on the GW games. But yea, I'm going to be playing SWTOR till GW2 comes out, is there anyone else in the same boat as me? Oh and btw I am quite enjoying SWTOR so far.

I think every now and again you read something pretty decent on the forum which kinda makes up for the endless fanboi rants and Trolls. I'm always fine with reading some sort of contructive critisism about a game, since I know the person has read up/played enough to make a valid point. It's the idiots who'll watch one ancient leaked closed beta video and come to the conclusion that game is going to suck, or find a feature of a game close to WoW and call the game a WoW clone.

Lots of ridiculous stuff ends up in UK's Newspapers, it's great cause it gave birth to amazing shows like Mock the Week and Russell Howard's good news which rip the shit out of those stories.
