i know that there have been alot of comparative threads out there recently especially about these two  games that i am really looking forward to but i want to know what you guys think.

who has the better siege design and why?

ok basically i just would like to know what the hype with this game is about.

i have seen one or two videos and a couple of screen shots  and thats pretty much it.

so what features does the game boast that makes the game worth waiting for? i.e. crafting, pve,pvp,rp, combat, and so on.

the main reason for this are the MANY flame wars that i see between this game and AoC (which i am a fan of too)  thanks much .

crafted items are the only items that will have gem slots for upgrade so players will be able to make some of the best armor/weapons in the game only with the buildings in a player city and then upgrade it with the help of a gem cutter, which promotes players relying on each other.

its going to be soooo cool i cant wait!

from the trailer of champions that i saw on their website the game doesn't look anywhere near being done so if i had to guess another year should do it.  as for beta maybe 6-8 months is my guess.

my view is this can be worked on after launch since the "majority" of players wont see this content for some time.....no need to delay the game becasue of it

I would like to know what system can handle AOc with 200 people on screen

Quite sad how the police work really, they could be out arresting real criminals and saving lives but instead wanna waste their time over nothing.

He is a bit from an Interview week or so ago: Last line in RED is the important part. Looks like things are being re-evaulated with beta feedback. You will still get attacked by NPC but about their city being near yours is still being looked at. The crafters got moany because of attacks at anytime. Anyhow, the bottom line is your PvE "Player City" will be attacked still by NPC Dymanic A.I. Mobs.

2/ The community would like to know as thoroughly as possible the differences between a PvE city and a PvP battlekeep. What bonuses and penalties do they offer ? Why should a guild desire to own his battlekeep (except for the glory !) or his city, and what are the advantages of a PvP battlekeep compared to a PvE city ?

Battlekeeps/cities are pretty much required if you want to get into high-end crafting and material gathering and also serve as the heart and soul of a guild. They help your crafters, they give you a ready social hub for everyone to hang out in, the buildings may grant certain bonuses if you’ve built them, and owning a city in a resource and building playfield will also help you get more and better resources, which, in turn, will lead to better stuff for everyone.
Penalty-wise, they’re a good size resource sink and if you’re playing in a PvP area, people will be trying to take it from you and will probably stab you to do so. If you’re in a PvE area, you may face NPC attacks or patrols or whathaveyou, based upon what we decide from the process of feedback about Dynamic NPC mobs. We’re currently looking at it based on the feedback we’ve gotten and where we want the game to go, so it’s in a review phase and there’s not much more I can say about it. Once we like where we’re at enough to talk about it, we certainly will.

this is just  great for social interaction and . . . . you know what i am SOOOO much better at talking than i am at typing

yes, i only have nightfall and factions and out of those i like nightfall personally though.

you have to have  lvl 20 char to play eye of the north

They (Funcom) partnered with Gamestop on it. It's on your (Gamestop) website in the game listing. I spoke with the manager at my GS and he advised, as is also listed on the website, that in-store pre-orders will get rave cards with the codes. He told me they usually get no notice of when the rave cards for games get delivered, only the game itself. I told him starting May 1st I was calling his store every day and he said that was a wise thing to do. Once they get the rave cards, bring you recipt and go pick your card up and on the 14th you can d/l client and begin play on the 17th as mentioned above.

 

This also applies to the regular version of the game as well.

You miss the whole point....com...plete...ly.   It's about hypocrisy.   There is a double standard in America.   Whites are held totally accountable for who they associate with and if you say something even remotely racist and even if it is not racist in its intent - you're pegged a racist.   Blacks it seems can say whatever the frak they want and whites are suppose to turn a deaf ear on it.  Why?  Why is it OK for Obama to say..."...don't tell me words mean nothing".   Then turn all dumb when his pastor speaks with such racially bigoted remarks towards whites.   Also...how about the stuff Don Imus said....and how Barack Obama was totally all over Imus about what Imus said was hurtful and racist in nature and he would not hire him to work for him....yet (and here is the thing) its OK for his pastor of 20years to say anything he wants about whites and yet he hired him to work on his campaign?  That is pure hypocrisy

i work at my local gamestop and have been asking about the freebie  codes for a while now.

and while we got the art books in today (wich are really cool by the way) none of the three stores have and of the rino/mammoth codes but id venture to guess we'll get them soon and when we do you can just go pick one up if you have it pre-ordered and if we get them at any of my stores in my city in NC ill post on here for you guys
