yes why?

i  think it would be good to have a thread here where gamers write down what made em quit

a game they normaly would have played for ages.

like:

I quit Lotro over the endless deed and faction grind.(periot)

I DONT want big discussions here but only a summary why people bail out of games, offen it will be*it bored me*

but maybe we find out some interesting things.

Liked the gameplay the scenery, but this game realy lacks in the grouplay department, which is the most fun part of mmos imho.

Get a decent clan?

I can group anytime of the day that I want, in a matter of seconds, for any content available. There are instances requiring groups, and various other content for multiple players.

Just because you didn't get to see it, or never utilized the options available to you in order to get to see it, is not the fault of the game or it's developers. That lies solely on your own shoulders.

Saying it lacks in the group play department isn't accurate, especially when the endgame aspect is pretty well entirely composed of squads and large groups battling it out.

what various other group content then some dungeons that only let you enter grouped?

It's all missions and crafting until L45, then there is no more pve aside from crafting and roleplaying.  The crafting is ultimately pointless because every character can max every tradeskill and can make everything themselves aside from faction recipes.   Not to mention, equipment can't be customized or modded in any way, so everybody is making identical crap which makes crafting boring as well.   Since crafting takes place in real time, it's pretty easy to just have crafting alts skilling up all the time while you play your combat character.  Just mail them supplies every once in a while and keep their crafting queue going.

If you're looking for a pvp endgame then you might like FE, if you're looking for a pve endgame, FE has nothing at L45.  If you are looking for group pve at any level, you will not find it in FE.  If you are playing a full combat character you can solo 99% of the missions/bosses in FE.  At L45,  once you've bought or made all of your equipment, skills, and mutations...the pve game is over pretty much, there is no reason to log on for pve anymore.  The game is all pvp at that point, simply because there is nothing else to do.

Not saying it's a bad game, I played since the first day of early start, so about 2 months I was entertained by it so I don't feel like I wasted the money.  But you should know, the game is very limited at L45, which is true of pretty much every new MMO at the level cap.  I'll look back at FE again in 3 or 6 months and see if they've done anything that would make me want to subscribe again.

Actually, your statement in red is largely false, because it only takes into account one side of the facts. From what I can tell, from asking on several of these 'OMG the sky is falling' threads is that the queue times seem mostly on the Asmodian side only.

Not true, the queue would kick in before you even got to the character creation screen so it wasn't race specific.  Now perhaps if you already had a toon on a server a queue would come up for you verse someone else who had not made a toon on that server, or not of the queued race.  But since you could only make a max of 2 character in the early character creation this doesn't account for what I described.

I was ALWAYS able to find an open server.  Always.  Never once did I try to log in and find that I couldn't.  Never.

Maybe you couldn't get in on the server you wanted... who's fault is that?  If it's full, it's full.  If you want in bad enough, just wait.  Otherwise, you could find another server.

QFE

Ya its sad that the  club is full and your friends are in but its not the hosts fault. Around the corner ist just right the next club and its exactly the same music and they still have space left. Dont wanna ask ya friends to come over?

Not? erm kay ..please add yourself to the qeue

No also EU servers got long ques at primeT

And expect it to be worse once release date hits, still entertaining :D.

Its a good polished game with a year live as backup.

Though i also wait for the next holybabyjesusmmorpg to come i consider Aion pretty fun.

Hope they can get good populations on all those servers as NC realy gets hell of nerdrage

from the playerbase while they try to do the best for a long live of aion.

Maybe its better the emorage/quit people get of now, they  probably would get emself hurt in the pvpve endgame

anyway.

I think in two weeks things will settle down and we wont have to fear a second WAR empty server scenario ahead ;)

cheers

I still play , most times in junks of 3-4 months ..then i grow fat up with killing orcs again and look for something new to test ^^

Moria is realy worth a tour :D.

Atm cheking Aion and having a blast..makes the Chars in Lotro look even worse when you come back.

But i will be back, Lotro feels like an open living world where Aion feels more linear thempark in low lvls but

i have good fun with it, its sometimes is more relaxing to just go down a fun route then to get lost in

Virtue, Radiance gear, faction, crafting or Legendary item grind..

In fact ..you have to be a Tolkin fan to stand the grinds they have put in. ;) j/k

But yes the enviroment graphics are good, i just would love there would be a bigger

variety of mobs.. it has the strong feeling you kill the same things over and over and over.

The *oh sheesh this crow could kill all the starter city* kinda feeling.imho.

In the end this game is lots of  fun to play in a good kin(guild) as the most exciting dungeons and

book quests need a  group.

Ps. the avatars look and move wierd...

*zerg the servers!

keep cool have fun ;)

I just can't get that graph on page 7(i think) out of my head. To me it shows that WoW has a very steep learning curve, because time seems to go up. So little time in wow makes the skill required to succeed increase by alot. EVE on the other hand has a very slow learning curve until the end. First it's getting sligthly harder, then it doesn't get harder at all, and gets easier, and poof difficulty goes up like crazy. Are you sure you put the time and gaming skill on the right axis? Also why don't you see the beginning of the curves? EVE starts when you've played it for a long time already.

O yes funny i thought the same ^^,

proof in the pudding for mixed up axes is the start of the graphs.

I think Aion will survive for a long time. IMHO i dont think that asian gamers and euro/NA are so different

when it comes to P2P games. I think it just might have more to do with the advertisement.

Both will stick around if the gameplay is solid.

You wait, and look forward to a game for 6 months only to find out at release that the said game is a pile of dog doo-doo.  That's were these forum posts come in handy.  Lowering your expectations sometimes is a good thing and you don't waste to much time waiting for something that is never going to deliver. ;)

i support this ^ post, ease up its summer :D
