I enjoyed the game and will buy it; but I agree the graphics are a disappointment. Appealing to the lowest common denominator is pretty lame; but I guess they wanted to make sure a child with an old computer could run it.

I liked the voice acting and found it drew me into the game. And I'm a guy who never used to read quest texts. Works well in Skyrim too.

I hate the terrible interface but will try to plow on. I was in the Star Wars beta this weekend so could  play both. Due to NDA can't comment on quality'; but I spent most of my time playing SWTOR.

Was fun at first but I quit at level 36 or so due to boredom. Too much repetive grinding and too much of a solo game. I preferred EQ's group scene for sure, my great  mmorpg memories are groups and raids and you pretty much cannot find a pickup group in Rift.

So that's why my 8800GT is still holding up great after 3 years... graphics develpment is being held back by consoles!

They don't want to confuse the poor kiddies with things like STATS, so the game is primarily developed for consoles and is being kept simple:

Well just saw the new trailer. Looks ok except for combat. There's some lightsaber play and then the loser just falls over? No limbs coming off, no blood? Yawn. Considering most Star Wars fans are adults; it kinda sucks they are selling out for the little kid audience. Not looking for heavy gore or anything... even just like the movies would be ok.... but no.

It's been dead so long I was worried about it being some sort of wierd phishing attempt.  Good to see posts here that it's legit.

Just started playing my 60 druid again after a long break - I quit when PoP came out after getting all my NTOV gear.

I've been given access to all expansions except the latest two. Now just wondering where is the best place to hunt for a level 60?

Looking for xp and to upgrade my gear. Need advice on best solo spots, as well as places where I could get groups in my level range.

Any advice is appreciated!

LOL are you kidding? Over the shoulder, third person shooters suck asz. Shooters are meant to be played in first person. Hello quake, fear, doom, call of duty, unreal, or just about any other shooter!

As a matter of fact some dumb mmo recently tried and failed  using third person shooter style...can't even remember the name.

Wow well I am completely not surprised about this. The whole story of the development of this game has been one disappointment after another.

Ideally a star trek game should have two different playtypes...a solo game on a smaller ship; and a grouping game on capital ships where you take on different roles and go on extended missions. Either way you should be able to walk around your ship.

Oh and missions are going to be instanced? I thought this was an mmo? More BS.

 ps the poster above is completely clueless. Interiors have been a huge topic ever since this mmo was announced.

I won't even bother mentioning how average the graphics look.

I'd give it a 7/10 until 65, then a 4/10 afterwards. As many have said, the end game sucks.

Man what server are you on? On Zug I have seen ONE /ooc of people looking for a prison colony group. I did all the quests in thunder river but no one ever wanted to do prison colony. The one time a group was LFM, there was a 77 in the group so that meant no XP, so I didn't bother.

I was a fanboy until level 65 or so. Now at 70 I don't play anymore. There's nothing to look forward to....raiding? Well gear doesn't really matter in this game so why raid? Also since gear doesn't matter, there no loot to go after, nothing to achieve in PVE.

Also quests get tough and harder to find after 65. No one is around looking for group....probably because group xp sucks and again, there's not much in the way of loot to look forward to.

I just rolled a new char on tyranny like everyone else. That's my last kick at the can before cancelling.

Stats and gear sucked so bad before; everyone quit PVE at high levels because there was nothing to strive for. Useless gear means no rewards from raiding..so why log on at all at level 80 on a PVE server?

Spend a few bucks and buy a real video card. Heck shader 3.0 cards have been out for months - a shader 2.0 card should be prettty cheap.

As a former fanboy who is close to quitting, I would say

1) insufficient high level content.

2) Terrible itemization

3) Poor incentives to group

4) Overuse of instancing

5) Buggy client. Worse now than at release, for me at least.

I love the combat and graphics...but that's not enough.

The only thing worse than the official forums is these ones. Basically a cesspool of haters with nothing better to do than hang around the forums of a game they don't like. Are you guys so fucen bored you have nothing better to do? Heck the OP even changed his forum pic to a 'failcom' logo. Wow....if I don't like a game I just move on, not make it a pet project to badmouth it.

No wonder your posts get deleted, here they're nothing but hyperbole and melodrama; and impossible to take seriously considering how many people are still enjoying the game.

Sure it has its issues. Definitely.....but these 'sky is falling' posts are a total joke. The only think sadder than a "failing" Age of Conan is all the tards who supposedly don't like it but stalk the forums like a pedo bear outside a school.

If 3 bucks is an issue; I'd suggest better uses of your time then playing a mmo.
