hint at a 2010 release (Link inside)
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 6/05/09 11:44:16 AM
The Gamespot interview kind of revealed that it's due out before next years E3. They asked one of the lead guys what they'll be showing at E3 2010, and they said they weren't going to be there. |

I really have no idea why I still come to these forums... |

Why would I even accept that as an answer? How hard is it to explain the simple differences between the two if they're so profoundly different?
whether you accept it or not makes me no difference...it has been answered on this very board many times. Search for it or don't. Look for a post by archangel
So are you telling me that you're not quite sure what the differences are? If you're going to counterpoint a post, at least do the poster a favor and let them know why they're wrong instead of just shouting out points from a thread tlong passed. The bottom line is, a cash grab is a cash grab, no matter how you look at it. |

Ok, so people buy trading card packs with hopes of getting in game loot and maybe playing the card game for both Warcraft and SWG. What's the difference? Is it because there's a third party making WoW's cards and Blizzard taking a cut out of each purchace? I know there's going to be some logic behind these threads, but I really find it hard to see anything but covert nerd rage.

"SOE has never and will not ever shut down a MMO"
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 5/29/09 7:36:45 PM
Did anyone honestly expect MxO to last this long? I mean, it's been almost half a decade since The Matrix was culturally relavent. How are you going to get new subs if the game premise seems stale? |

I've logged in from time to time since the TCG came out, and I'm really not hearing any dissent from players. Granted I'm playing on Star Sider, the most populous server. Having taken into consideration that Blizzard has done this with the World of Warcraft trading card game for a while, along with the other obvious money grabs, I have seen little to no opposition. I think all of the people who dislike SOE are just using this as a new platform to vent. Where was the hate when Champions of Norrath came out? I must have missed it. Now I can't to be quoted a dozen times by the same person. |

After reading his thread, I now believe that there is such thing as winning the Internet. |

Moderating seems a bit half assed to me. So many good threads have been closed due to "trolling" even though the discussion remains very civil by internet, and even MMORPG.com standards. I've seen a member's post calling every person who plays an SOE game a "retard" remain, while my post explaining that he's 47 years old and should grow up was deleted. |

Can I Suggest Paragus1 Gets Removed From The "Spotlight Blogs"?
General Discussion « Darkfall 5/14/09 5:19:34 PM
I really wouldn't mind it being a featured blog if he actually reviewed something other than Darkfall. I really don't care about the game one way or the other, but it seems to me that it's just a shill. If you had someone come over and have a spotlighted blog for an SOE game, for instance, you can bet that most of the comments would be crammed full of the "obvious SOE Shill" posts. |

I can live without them. |

I must admit, I played this game at a time when there were about 3,000 people across all servers, instead of today's 200,000+ people. It was a grind to begin with, because it was a simple java program with a script written by two or three people. It wasn't meant to be something as in-depth as World of Warcraft, which is sadly used as the standard to wich all games, past and present are held up to. It was fun back then because there weren't really any MMOs aside of Ultima and Everquest, so it was nice to be able to play something for free, not have to buy a box, and play with tons of other people at once without some sort of awful lag. All on a 56k modem. |

I really don't get it. The quests were perfectly easy to find before they added the questhelp system in. All the info you need can be found by reading the quest information. |
