I think the sad truth in my opinion that pretty much every MMO is mediocre. I play them, and I enjoy them to some extent, but there hasn't been a game in years that has kept my interest for more than a month. I don't know if the fate of the genre is up to Bioware, and I really don't care.I only hope Bioware makes a good game and lives up to their potential like they have in every single game that they've created. |

I don't have a problem with fantasy MMOs. I'm just way more into the whole Sci-Fi genre. I loved SWG for what it was worth, and I hope we get a decent game out of the new Old Republic mmo. |

If I had several other Star Wars IPs that are due to launch within the next few months, I wouldn't do anything to hurt the sales. I think making a huge announcement would do that. |

Ehh, I'm not one to hold grudges, especially in an online videogame. I do think that SOE is moving in the right direction with voice chat and things like that, but with the tiny dev team that they have now, it's almost impossible to make this game live up to the potential that it once had. |

A lot of these game developing companies have skipped over new and original content to add familiar easy gameplay for the people who play World of Warcraft. As long as they can tap into someone's fanbase, that's what they care about. Seems like the norm today is money maker first, game maker second. |

My guess is that the collector's edition is aimed toward the fans of the Conan books/comics/movies, rather than the people who are simply fans of the game. Which sort of explains why it's more real item heavy as opposed to in-game stuff. A lot of stuff in here to add to their collections. |
