Tells are not allowed on trial accounts.

 

well since you only gave a one-liner as a response I'll simply say you are wrong but have a nice day. You cannot initiate tells/whispers but if someone gives you a tell/whisper then you can reply/whisper all day long to that person.

Okay since you want to be so smart about it, I will break your post down even more then.

Why are you asking others to send tells to your friends? First off, I would not do it either because I might get in trouble if you turn out to be a gold farmer or the such. As a matter of fact, if you were in a city and spamming something about sending tells to your friends, I would put you on ignore.

If you were advertising your e-mail in the tell as well, I would surely think you were a gold farmer or a hacker or something is not on the up and up.

Also, I am curious why you think that this is the best way to contact your friends. If it is an old friend, it seems that you have an e-mail address or some type of contact info at least through a website or something.

Also, why were you spamming and what were you spamming trying to find this person? Did you not know their name?

If you didn't, then I have to question how much of an old friends they were. I remember my friends from the day or launch until now....especially if it was someone I considered an old friend.

If you did know their name, then why not go to the armory and look them up.

Sorry but it is hard for me to believe that the ONLY way you had to contact someone who you consider an old friend is through asking random people to send random tells to random people asking them to send a random tell to you, a random person. See how random that is?

If my best friend in this world created a trial account and some character whose name I did not recognize and asked someone else to send me a tell, they would go on ignore. Why? Because I know they have an account and I KNOW their characters name's and I would not accept any information from them or accept them to be who they say they are because its a name I do not know.

Simple as that.

so last year I had no problem buying my ticket. I do not remember if I used the blizzard store.

This disaster, I couldnt' even registered on the blizzard store to add ticket to my carrt then let alone get to the credit card portion. I read a lot about people crashing at the cvc portion of the credit card info. Then getting dumped all back to start. having to type so quickly they just put in jumbles for their character name and generic server.

I would suspect they will have 2 more small pools of tickets go up for sale. Like they did last year.

Its sorta strange how suddenly its come to a head from last year it still took a couple days this year its like a ticketmaster sell out in 17minutes scam. Sorta strange when you believe there is a downturn in wow accounts in USA. I sure guess Diablo has put a crunch on people wanting to attend as well. It doesn't feel like Startcraft 2 last year put such a hard crunch to attend blizzcon.

Also part of problem was this year announcing what day the tickets went on sale put everyone in crunch mode I would guess.

Anything in common with a certain MMO we all know announcing the hiring of two new CMs in common with this moving on to another job?

Just like when Zaryhem was announced a certain writer of a former magazine announced he was leaving the cancelled magazine/website the same day that Zarhyem was announced on that particular MMO forum.

1. Sure its worth playing for a month or two. the outlands experience.

2. Highly unlikely to find normal 5 man groups for Ramparts, Underbog, Slave pens, Blood furnace, and upwards unless they are rushed and by people who've done it a million times expecting everyoent o know their place and do it correctly in shortest timespan. Imo It would not be fun as a first timer.

2a. sure pick a server thats very packed with players you'll be able to play, but again its with everyone who has run them and I would not find it a fun first time exp. As well they have made them easier since they came out so no again sense of accomplishment.

3. well since I do not know your playtime, in 3 months time yes, you should be able to level 60-70 and then it depends if your all 10 to 25 daily quests every day. Once you hit level 70 you need 1,000 gold to buy your normal flying skill, then 5,000 after that to buy your epic flying skill. when TBC first came out you were allowed only 10 daily quests a day now its 25 daily quests. so in 2 hours(numbered pulled outa air)  you can do all 25 daily and make big bucks.

3a. But then to even open the Ogri'la chain of daily quests you need a 5 man group of people willing to run you thru the chain quickly which I think again lessens the fun and exploration of experiencing it.

For me it would not be worth it, knowing what I know now and knowing most of the wow crowd.

However I was on a low population server with my 70, and its impossible to get aherioc group now, and i'm the healer with a good reptutation. My healer currently lvl 64 on a medium server simply finds the normal at my level 5 man instances to easy, not the way I found them when I was levelling up my first healer on other server. so I am convinced they made even normal instances easier, by stealth nefing something to make it borininly easy. Less downtime.

heh, various Sesshomaru names are now freed up on Bloodfin and Bria then, can't remember the name I used on Flurry or starsider. had a kanameChidori name on another server forget which.

Read the transcript seemed to be more just hype ZOMG Devs talk to them! when in reality its just a rushed hour and nothing much revealed.

Same way it use to be for UO Stratics Dev chats, and old SWG dev chats before that game was released.

EVERY SINGLE DEV CHAT is a letdown, and just a pub stunt for the site hosting it.

      I could not disagree with you more. Adding more beta testers.....who really arent' beta testers but people looking to play the game before its released will not help the situation. Only hurt the image of the game more.

Obviously Blizzard has done the funky chicken with its population reporting numbers on the Game client...

Blizzard could be pulling a Star Wars Galaxies with the sudden change in their reporting numbers. GOOD GAME BLIZZARD who did you hire from SOE?

I just logged on Alliance have 68 players logged in. I know Coilfang is outnumbered by horde on Coilfang, I'm just saying. On Alliance side its from levels 58-70 only 20 alliance players logged in.

Confirmed at 2:15am still only Zuluhed has low population server reporting.

Both Anub and Coilfang went from recommended to no longer being recommended.

I am always on a PvP server.

Everyone is focusing on the end time being 3 am, but didnt' realize I said I've been on for 2 hours, and check that I know I was on from 11pm till 3am.

And being that time of night is not such a bad problem seeing as people underestimate how many Aussies play on these servers but thanks for making the quick clip of thats my problem like it such a simple fix.

Just saying that Blizzard is letting a lot of servers down with comparsion to servers like Illidan, Warsong, Tichondrious which are always high/full population servers compared to others, and forcing to pay for a transfer is really cheap.

Compared to before they upgraded their server infrastructure when theyoffered free transfers to full servers, now that they have upgraded their servers they have not once offered free transfers at all. It was only their benefit that theyofferd them.

Its 2:44am PST for me right now. Friday night no less....well saturday early morning.

I am so frustrated right now.

All my characters are on low population servers besides two which are sometimes medium/low population.

I spent 2 hours trying to find a 5 man pug on Anub'brak server no luck.

Coilfang lvl 67 no one running any pug instances only two endgame guilds on Alliance.

I hate that everyone is willing to pay $25 to transfer their characters. I hate Blizzard for raking in the cash on that.

I I I me me me, I haven't expressed that enough in this I realize.

Right now I'd kill to have any of my characters magically transferred free of charge to a Full or High population server.

When I first started playing UO I was on dialup.

haven't played in close to 2 years, have no clue about Kingdom Reborn. It was harder and harder toplay UO on dialup with the continual buildup of code upon the games base.

Certainly can never play PvP.

I hate to be a spoilsport, but here is the deal with my experience with San Diego Comic-Con and Warhammer Online Beta keys.

They had cards you fill out and put in a box, then at a specific time they drew 10 names, they got the cards with the suposed beta keys on it. Next day same thing, then EIther Saturday or Sunday they had 20 keys to draw cept this time cuz they had such a big crowd they put the name on this list you could check out before end of day instead of having to be there at time of drawing to win.

Ok Listen, they had a Brand manager, a IT Manager, a Quest Writer, and this other guy, whom I talked to....I didnt' talk to the Producer he seemed like he really wasnt' interested in promoting the game so I left him alone, anyways the first 4 guys who did all the work all weekend kept saying something like THIS IS YOUR BETA KEY! You sign in input this key you are in! They were saying that while they were drawing the cards and while people were signing up for the drawings, I kid you not because I was there each and every day checking it out and prodding them about the game and playing their 5 v 5 Deathmatch.

Side note fun game, I'll prolly buy on day one.

SO anyways, I lose the first two days, the third day where you could check back later which was Saturday the same day as the SOE Gathering, anyways I was at the SOE BBQ when they had the drawing came back after SOE checked the list, I won! BINGO! SO excited.

Didn't look at the official card and it is well made with the warhammer headline on it and the beta key so it was not some really cheap thing, it was planned with well made cards. I didn't look at the card because I had travelled like 800 miles to attend right. so I get back to Los Angeles staying at my friends house for the week after until I could attend Blizzcon I take out the card like 4 days after i won it, rush to my friends computer sign up to enter beta, submit his Dxdiag hoping to be able to download and show him the game in some excitement.

Status: Applied.

I'm not with it, go thru the week whatever figure that maybe it took them a while to activate the keys knowing they are online like beta 1 still right now.

I get back home check same webpage, still says Status: Applied, resubmit my own dxdiag.

Then I finally sit down and read the flipping small print on the card.

They beta key you won and everyone was freaking out over was not a beta key it was a little bonus, bump key to your actual Warhammer Beta Application kinda like those you get out of a magazine or get for being part of their mailing newsletter hyping up the darn game.

So color me a bit disgruntled, I even emailed them to ask this, and I got a really nice reply from someone from Mythic saying how it was only a beta key that helps your application and gets you in at some later date.

Admittely, I have no clue when their later date is but, some/most/all of us will know thats like go away you get in two weeks before public beta.

So dont' get to excited by any beta keys that are advertised at these cons, where Mythic attends, just be happy to see the game and play it first hand. :)
