I think that those that complain over the lack of RP-servers have another outlook on how to define RP. Maybe the hardcore Roleplayers should find another word for their gamestyle to make that clear, I don't know. But that would make all kids who jump over to RP-servers to make fun of roleplayers learn a new word, and I'm not sure that they can handle that. |

This game is terrible, don't waste your time.

Originally posted by memdrop Well almost every fantasy MMO is going to have similarities. If you want something new then you better play singleplayer games (some of them) or even better start playing football for real, or maybe go fish. |

Originally posted by ryanmarshall Well if it takes you that long to see that it can't be that bad can it? I mean if you get to level 43 in two months, you've probably played hours every day, I'll say anything gets boring if you do it that often. (Yes I know there are those kids who play to cap in a couple o days and then whine over endgame and it's boring) I play myself a couple of hours every week and still find it quite good.
Sure the game could be better in many ways but as long MMORPG's go I cannot find many that's better. Why not tell us how a game is supposed to be, instead of the other way around? |

Humanity
We will always find things to disagree over but now it's getting stupid, MMO's becoming the new religion.
I'll try both games and I think both will be good but both will have their problems for sure. |

No pre-set RP-server from start is not the best of ideas, I'll sign to that. I won't join it before those servers had been sorted out (if I'll join it all)
Btw has NC soft ever had a game with official rp-servers? |

Sure I'm going to try this game. I don't care if it's fantasy or Sci-fi as long it's good and makes me wanna come back.

I don't care much about originality and who did what first. What I want is fun, I think WoW is better then EQ but I also think Lotro is better then WoW. I don't have any emotional ties to any game or settings, not yet at least.

Ok games that I think is worse... Guild Wars, Lineage II, RF online, Ryzom, SWG, Archlord, Silkroad, Planetside, Vanguard, Matrix, Flyff Games I like better: CoV/H, Wow, Lotro, EQ2, EvE
And this is of course what I think

What do you MMORPG players think of LOTRO?

I've tried a lot of MMO's in my day and at the present time there are three games that I find "worth" playing City of Villains/Heroes, World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings. They all have their pros and cons but compared to the other ones they come out on top.
I understand the greatness of EVE but it's not my cup of tea, at least not at the moment. I scout this site daily to find if I have missed a game but it seems like the future has the next game I will subscribe to. If anyone has any ideas what to play if you're into those three games I would be glad to hear them.

Sad to see this game go, I liked the Idea but it did not came through as good as it sounded. Still most MMORPGs are far worse than this game. |
