I once shared your optimisim, but them announcing that they eliminated swimming from the game just this week, is beyond absurd. I don't wanna be Micheal Frickin Phelps, but I sure as hell think ANY MMO designed today should have a skill as basic as 'swimming'.

A one week free trial? You don't confuse that with the free month, he clearly thought GW2 was P2P.

It is actually not that hard to do the misstake, all MMOs of that size and quality so far has been P2P.

no i understand that guild wars is absolutely free. just trying to smack some sense into people. The game is free. you can play guild wars and what ever game you are currently paying monthly for. 

quiting guild wars is just signing out. quiting a game such as Rift or WoW is unsubscribing. thats a huge difference.

Guild Wars is on a plane of its own because it doesn't charge it's customers anything except the box price.

it just doesn't seem right to compare guild wars to todays mmorpgs in this context.
