I have been waiting for one of these... swinging the Wiimote to jab, hack, slash and all around butcher monsters and other players would be a blast, not to mention using it for firing bows and aiming spells at others. Whenever Nintendo actually starts giving other countries Wiis and someone (BIOWARE!!!) gets on the ball and makes a good game for it, it could really own the streets. |

1. Guild Wars, been playing since Beta Weekend. I was late to the MMO scene (CURSE YOU DIALUP!!!) so I never played to old school amazing UO.... And since there are few MMOs out that I really like (though several I want to try...) I won't bother ranking others. But when GW2 and Darkfall come out, we shall see, it will be so hard to choose. |

If you want 17", check out www.cyberpowerpc.com/ It is pretty good on prices, I have been looking at getting one of the AMDs for about 1.5k with 4gb ram and a 512mb video card, so it is pretty good.

That is a pretty hilarious article. But I must say I deeply resent the Darkfall comment.... And as for the WoW vote, I agree to some degree, but it is a good to make a game low end machines can play. It is also intellegent to make it a unique style like that so that it wont "go out of style" it doesn't get outdated like realistic graphics, because it isn't meant to be realistic. Also, wasn't the ruining of UO worse than NGE??? |

Guild Wars: Expansion Review - Eye of the North
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/26/07 8:10:10 PM
We must all be "hardcore" fans of GW here. Because this review is terrible. KInda like PC Gamer (who is usually on the money), but that review just sounded like a whiney baby who had a bad stretch of luck. GWEN is my favorite, right after Proph. It adds heroes for anyone without NF, and more for those with. Many of these heroes actually participate in the story. I know the story is rather stereotypical, I still enjoyed it. (where are my SlyvaSylvari???) There is TONS of new content, form dungeons to titles. PvE skills are kinda cool, but either way there is a TON of new armor, i think maybe more than any full expansion. It is hard, but I am seriously getting tired of people crying about hard games. Either suck it up and learn to get better or suck it up and admit you suck. that is life, either you adapt(and GW is one of the few MMOs that allow you to that) or you move on to something else. I think the main problem with the GWEN reviews is that most of the reviews are done by people who don't actually know the game that well, or at least don't play it regularly. thats just my opinion. |

^ actually, what I would recommend is to do as many of the 3k xp quests in cantha just around the marketplace. from there up to Kaineng Center there is enough to push you up the last few lvls. I actually brought my D over to cantha to do that from lvls 17 -20 before even doing the Consulate Docks to get survivors.

Cheap as it sounds, a lot of time it doesn't have to do with your build, but how fast you can log out/map away. I found if your solo keeping /resign in the chat box and double tapping enter helps.
I got survivors on my Dervish in about 20 hours without much trouble, but I've been playing a long time. I think the ranger idea is good, and I plan on doing just that as soon as a force myself to work on some of my other characters... |

Sins are fun as all getout, but just as hard/annoying to play. you always gotta let the tank take aggro first and learn to GET OUTA THERE when you need to. I'd recommend starting with another class first.
Also, you never need to "reroll" in GW unless you just want to look different. all other parts of your character can be changed in game. any sin can be any sin build. you just have to get the skills/weapons/armor you need for it. |

Eles kick butt, are my favorite class, and all that.. but they really do just dress like sluts. Rts and necros really are much more rocking, although I think Varesh takes the cake,

Originally posted by yusaku5 I've played GW almost 2 years (since the pre-release beta event), have tried WoW and a few other MMOs. Barrens chat is well known, but I never bothered with it. But if GW that quote is true, then the shirt "i survived barrens chat" is an insult. Just kidding, but seriously. If you leave the l33t kiddies alone, most players are both really nice, helpful, and just out to have a good time. over my time playing I've had fewer times encountering with actual jerks than i have fingers. this doesnt count the kiddies you fight in RA, HoH, or AB, of course. Although AB doesnt count, everyone has fun picking on each other in that one Getting a really good guild/alliance is very helpful, but for the most part, I found my WoW escapade to show more immature people, but thats just me. I think what time of day you play effects it too. When you play when kiddies are in school or sleeping (my free hours) that usually helps with any game. And for course, almost everyone swears everywhere, its just something you usually have to deal with. Now days swearing is only "bad" if you swear at someone, and is bad@$$ if you just swear. |

JCHC -> Small Christian guild LF serious Christians and serious gamers.
Guild Recruitment « Guild Wars 1/03/07 9:47:41 PM
JCHC-> Jesus Christ X Hardcore-> the Death Through Life Brigade.
Officer Negative was about being totally committed to Christ, but also being part of another subculture, theirs was punk. Ours is Guild Wars. We are currently a small, close knit guild with mostly local friends helping each other out and having a good time. But we are looking for any serious Christians who want a great group of people to play with. We are in a Christian alliance under the Tribe of Judah (toj.cc). If Interested my SN is Arks Lina, don't be shy. (or a hator.) |
