Dude, I could of told you you would wind up quitting again.  Better then that, most ex-players would of told you the same or to not even try. But its best you saw it for yourself this is not worth it.

This isn't even the game we once knew. It's some other PS or X-Box game played like a regualr on-line game with the same name as the galaxies we once knew. This is all it is and nothing more.

The game is dead, Sony just likes to throw in a bone every now and then to let you think they're still there trying to better the game. Remember, this is soe you talking about.

You must be kidding!  Maybe at launch and it may of even been more at that time but now?  You can't be serious, they'd be lucky to to get a tiny portion of that, even 50k would far exceed it. More like a handful of players, read the forums all over the gaming world and you'll see how dead the servers are.

It's more like an old western town with all this wind and dust blowing up in a ghost town with nothing but a tumbleweed blowing by, that's VG best populated servers

It's unfortunate many people have gone thru' this same thing of having spend hundereds of dollars to upgrade and at the end the result was the same, game still played terribly.

I also spent over $600 and while I was able to play the game a bit better, I still had problems with the hitching and the stop and go issues. And for what?  The game wasn't worth it, it was boring, dull and tedious.  A waste of time and money and all for nothing.

I liked the game but it's boring as there's no one there to play with. I got to the top level 80 but left because of complete boredom so unless something is done it deserves to close.

I won't vote and I stopped playing a few months back. I would of stayed had there been more players and more to do but there wasn't. It's a shame its closing now but maybe its time they put it to sleep.

They should take SWG and Vanguard with it as those two are even worse then this one.

If anything I think the op was being overly kind and generous in he's review. This game is a complete failure in its highest form.

Take it from those of us who played it, it's worse then they say it is. Here, those few who still play it will tell you its the best thing since sliced bread. But the large majority will tell you different, much different.

And this is if your machine can handle it to begin with. For a game that needs as much as this one does just to run it, it sure lacks a whole lot of everything.

If it was a good game or even a half decent game, don't you think the servers would be full of players?   I mean, there aren't any good games out right now so if this was half as good as it should be, everyone would still be playing instead of having abandoned it like the sinking ship it is.

You need go no further then to see how the large majority left this game and left in a hurry because its so bad. But like all games, there will always remain a few who somehow like it. Just look at another game from SOE, swg then you need look no further.

C'mon, stop sugarcoating this game. tell this person the truth. But to the op if you don't believe how bad this game is thne go for it and see for yourself just how bad it is. Right here people are telling you the game is not complete and they themselves are wishing, hoping it is as they level along but knowing the company behind this game, thats just wishful thinking on their part.

its not just that the game isn't complete, it has tons of problems and they know it but you won't get them to admit it.  If you're like the majority of players who want at least a half decent game then look elsewhere cause this isn't for you, just ask the hundreds of thousands who literally jumped off this ship and you'll see the real truth behind this game.

Even the preview and revview this website gave it said its not worth it, as well as many other reviews and previews from arounfd the gaming world, are they wrong too?

If you noticed in my op I said judging by the review I read on this websites home page.  C'mon, take your time reading so you can take it all in.

Who can deny the population in this game is virtually nil?  I guess there are some who still will deny this but judging from reviews like the one here and by what many others have written as well as what magazine and gaming sites have you already know theres a skeleton crew in VG. And no, hell no I won't ever pay to play this game again.  Actually, I wouldn't play it if it was free.  And to think I  disliked WoW yet I stood playing it til level 58, yet in VG by level 19 I couldn't take it anymore and couldn't wait to leave like everyone else was doing.

Back in the review in one paragragh the reviewer said he finally met someone who told him he was the 3rd person he'd seen for a while.  And this is just one person saying it.  Again, just like Galaxies.

SWG, forget about that one. That's not even the Galaxies of old, thats a totally different game altogether. And yes, I was there too not too long ago and yes, the servers were empty so I know about that game and no one can tell me different cause I saw it firsthand myself.

Again, that game is just like this one, a complete failure.  Yes, a few still play it but thats because you can't please everyone. But for the most part everyone left, the large majority left and only a very small portion remain. So since just about everyone agreed the game wasn't worth it and abandoned ship and a few think it is and have remained who do you think it most likely to be right and who is definitely wrong?  Seems like the majority always wins.

And Gorgo, this isn't hating, this is just stating the obvious. Like the old adage, "you can't cover the sky with your hand".  Here it would be, you can't tell people something is good when they already know the truth that it isn't.

Another game handled by SOE?

Won't these people ever learn anything SOE touches turns to shit. Look at every game in SOE's stable including Vanguard and that will tell you all you need to know about this new game coming out.  It will either be unfinished, unpolished, bugged to the hilt or any number of negative things wrong with it.

Yes, it's a new game and many people will go check it out but don't be surprised if it turns out to be another Vanguard.  Players know enough by now to know SoE's grubby dirty hands are all over this one and judging by their track record this one is sure to bomb too.

Good idea to the op. Don't waste/spend your money just to play this game it won't matter. Many people like myself spent money upgrading for nothing. The game plays bad no matter what computer you have plus and more importantly, this game is terrible with a capital T.

I stayed away for a while and just decided to check up here today. But I see nothing has changed with this game, it's still on the rapid decline.

Judging from it's review I just read on this sites home page I can say my initial statement is very accurate.  In a way I believe you can compare this game to SWG in many ways especially in population or should I say lack of.  Both have a skeleton population and both are terrible as well as being run by the same company.

No matter what you can think of in defense of this game all you have to do is see the population and that will tell you just how good is really is. If it was a good game like a few say then why has everyone left?  Players don't desert a good game, they leave bad ones.

To say in a few words what the opening statement said in afffect is: Stay away from this game, it's not worth it.

Of course current players will tell you the place is alive and well. But if you believe that then someone has a bridge they liked to sell you.

Most returning players have seen firsthand the REAL truth and that is the servers are dead. Just come to any forum detailing SWG and you'll see the discontent, the complaints and what's actually happening. And this isn't from swg fanbois base either but from returning vets checking out the game for whatever reasons. These are the ones with nothing to gain by telling you what they've experienced unlike the current group who desperaely want more players to join in.

I returned to play and in the two weeks I remained there coming in every single day the most I ever saw were 2 other players in one spot and this was at Theed's spaceport. One was afk and the other was running from one side to the other.  Although, you may see more players then this, you'll still see just how dead it really is.

But don't take my word for it, try it and you'll see for yourself then you'll also come here complaining of the population like just about everyone else who has returned and left again.

The minority complain about soe and this game someone stated.

The only minority around are the ones who still play this thing they call Vanguard.  Check out your facts before trying to correct others.

Just about everyone who tried left this game. Of the hundreds of thousands only a small "minority" stood behind, ok?  And out of the bunch about half or more try to convinve the gaming world Vanguard has changed and is worth playing.  Everyday many of these same ones try to convince themselves they're actually having fun, imagine that.

But it's understandable to a point being there's nothing out there worth playing atm.   But still, the majority won't waste their cash of something that's not worth it, plain and simple.  This is one reason they bitch and moan when they see an ex-player say anything they don't like about either soe or the game.

This is a forum, look up the word. It's for discussion or don't you know? Or maybe you think the only thing you can say is good things about Vanguard.  Because if that's the case  then there wouldn't be much of a discussion, now would there? 

Just because you're the games primer  "Fanbois" doesn't make your point of view the logical choice.  I did play this game and found it like the majority of the players: BORING!  And unlike you I'm not trying to convince others its worth playing.  Or do you actually believe the hundreds of thousands who played this game and found it as I did wrong?  Were they also "hijacking" threads when they stated they also didn't think this game was worth all the hype? Or when they stated their views and experience?    Huh?

WoW is a game I don't like all that much, yet, I played it until level 58 back when the max level was 60.  In this game I got to 19 and couldn't take it so that should tell you more then enough. 

It's boringly slow and... but why repeat all these things again. It's a well known fact all the issues ravaging this, your game. And not only known but well documented by thousands upon thousands.  Oh, but we're all wrong according to the games 'fanbois".  I see it like this, if Im going to defend something such as a game then I better make sure its a game well worth it unlike in this case.  I mean why go against the grain? 

You like it, fine. The very large majority who don't, fine also.  Some constantly write why they like it, fine. The large majority who don't, also write it, fine also.  If it's good for one side it should be good for the other or maybe it should be just the positives which as I said wouldn't be much to discuss.

Yeah, best thing if you're into crappy graphics, entire zones and places of non-paying quests, clones of each other as everyone of each race looks exactly alike, kick ass grinding to advance, same type quests over and over, lots more to add but it's not even worth it.

if you're into this then yes, it's a monster game to go to.
