Order and Chaos just came out like 4 days ago.  Give them a freaking chance for god sakes...

If your going to rip of a UI the least you could do is rip off a GOOD one...

Huh? this is the standard price of MMORPGS in P2P model. Are you new to MMOS?

No, I am not new to MMO's.  I just don't think the game is worth 49.99 to buy the client and then 14.99 a month after that.  That being the standard price of a mmo is irrelevant. 

I really didn't execpt to like this game when I downloaded the beta.  I was pleasently suprised.  It was fun.    It's action oriented and overall a pretty good game with a decent PvP expeirience.    The problem is it's just not good enough for my to pay what they are asking.  I would shell out 49.99 for the "box" but I wouldn't pay a monthly fee.  OR I would pay 9.99 a month if the client was free to download.   But 49.99 for the client and the expected 14.99 a month is just to much.    I seriously think price is going to be the downfall of this game.

If this is true, why do people rave about the pvp in this game?  I could name plenty of games with more exciting pvp off the top of my head, and they are also FFA pvp.

Because no other FFA PvP game has the same consequences as EvE (Execept for maybe darkfall).  Loose a nicely fit heavy assault ship and that 120-150 mil loss hurt's your wallet.

Welcome to what the majority of EvE PvP is.  20 people sitting around a gate  waiting for 1 person to jump through so they can gang bang them but the target either MWD's back to the gate or manages to warp out and then the 20 people smack talk the 1 person for not engaging their 20 man gang.

Im dissapointed, no accusing mmorpg.com of a conspiracy or being paid off by SE or any of the usual dribble?   This place is going down hill...

It seems like a lot of the reports of people playing the open beta are saying something akin to "It plays like it was designed for console and the PC version is just a crappy port".   If thats the case (The game really is designed for console why is the PS3 version not coming out till march?  It seems like te PS3 version would come out first and the port to the PC would come out later.

Becuase when there is PvP there is CONSTANT complaining about balance.  That means you have to devote resources to balancing.  That means that those are resources NOT going into the PvE game.  Here's what I don't understand.  There are a TON... No wait, metric SHIT TON of games with PvP.  If you want PvP go play one of those games.  When devs try to put PvP into PvE focused games the PvP sucks and the PvE suffers and no one wins.

I don't think anyone has died because of WoW.  People have died because they did stupid shit like went 4 days without eating and sleeping but WoW didn't do that, they did.

Going with that drugs don't kill people.

They don't.  If booze is what killed then that takes the blame off the person and puts it on a object.  IE  I drink a case of beer, get in my car and run of a 6 year old kid.  Is it my fault or the booze? 

We should legalize everything because it's the persons fault any way.

You didn't answer my question.  If i get drunk and run over a 6 year old is it my fault or the booze?

I doubt anyone will have any legal recourse.  I'm sure you will have to accpet a new terms of service stating that you give blizard the right to display your real name if you choose to use their forums.  People will have the option to simply not use the forums.

Yep, I have a facebook.  The difference is I CHOOSE who sees my information and who doesn't.  If a waitress you meet at a coffee shot thinks its a good idea to friend some guy she just met then that's her choice.  However she can still use facebook and choose not to do this.  However if you choose to use the blizzard forums you have no choice but to give up your real name to everyone.  It would be like if you joined facebook and didn't have the option to not let EVERYONE see your information. 

I get why they are doing it.  I honestly do.  However for me there are just to many crazy ass people out there.

Seems legit and is legit are to totally different things.  Think about the amount of faked leaked stuff for just about every game that has come out.  People use to make a hobby out of faking WoW patch notes.

EvE Is like dating.  It's expensive.  It's time consuming.  You get shot down a lot.  After you spend all that money and time and get shot down 15 times you hopefully get to have 15 mins of fun.  I and the others that play eve enjoy this kind of non instant gratifaction gaming however MANY people do not.  I enjoy it because the more time I put into something it makes the sucess all the more sweet.
