I had a post outright deleted when I asked if something a player did was considered an exploit.  I guess the official policy is we can't tell you.  That's the only response I got from them.  Maybe they're just tired of dealing with those exploits.  It's about time they fixed some of them. 

I agree though, AoC is not worth it.  I thought SOE was bad; they are a bunch of unethical bastards.  I think Funcom is just too stupid as an organization to be anything more than a bunch of children.  Either way, stay away from them; you'll be better for it.

I've noticed that the rating system on MMORPG.COM gets borked for at least a couple of days after a launch of a decent MMO.  It was this way after LOTRO and VSoH.  It'll be "more" accurate in a few days. 

I don't think that AoC has had the worst (or one of the worse) launches in MMO history.  But I guess that makes me a fanboy.

I think Vanguard, Dark and Light and, even, the untouchable WoW had much worse launches.  I remember not being able to log in with a main character for weeks due to their server issues.  (Okay days, but I like to exaggerate - the issue did seem to last forever though). 

BTW, I do have latency issues.  I get knocked off line about one an hour, and the system seems to need a reboot about 50% of the time.  But then, the game is still playable (at least for me) and that's better than some of the MMO launches out there.

Greenwich Median Time.  Basically, it's +0 hours and is an international standard..  Pacific Standard Time is -7 hours.

Absolutely correct, and it is the right thing to do.  Rolling over and accepting NGE is wrong.  Supporting it is even worse.

Will they feel cheated if this happens?  Some will, but most won't.  It is not like the NGE situation where an entire game system was completely altered overnight.  It'll be a brand new game and most will approach it as such.

I hope this is an actual leak and not some random BS.  I guess we'll just have to wait and see.  An old republic MMO would be cool.  At least that will take care of the biggest headache that SWG had to deal with: Jedi.

I wouldnt say that is taking care of Jedi... When would Jedi EVER be on every streetcorner, waving their glowbats around like they were trying to peddle their wares like a hustler? Oh yeah, they be as mystery and special as a Toyota in a Toyota Race...

All it would do, is turn away everyone who'd rather be play something else than flippin jedi, wich sadly has been the "only" choice in Star Wars games for nearly the last 10 years....

I'm pretty sure whatever company does the next SW MMO will have RP servers that are hopefully somewhat effective in enforcing a Star Wars feeling.  Besides that, there is not too much that can be done. 

You can always do what I did when I first tried the game out.  Learn a learning skill, then learn a combat skill.  Keep alternating between the two.  Mathematically, it's not the greatest thing to do; however, you still progress as a pilot and don't fall to far behind in the learning skill category.

This kind of sucks.  My CPU is a 2.8 Ghz.  I think everything else is in specs though.  I guess its time for an upgrade.

I've been on for about five days and have yet to speak to one person or seen people speaking amongst themselves.  Actually, I've only seen five people standing in the same location once.  After seeing the sad state of the game, I really just wish that SOE would let go of the game; so, I can let go of (at least lessen) my dislike for them.

I have been watching this same group therapy/mob mentality stuff on the web presently in the West Virginia University coaching change that have went on. Basically has been the same behaviour demonstrated here. Interesting to view the hostility presented by the posters over something they love being lost. But like everything in life....there is a time for mourning and a time to move on.

The vets decided they didnt wanna move on without returning the favor...they wanted SWG to crash and burn...they got their wish. But it didnt end at that did it?

I didnt lose my game...I am not the bitter one here. Yes I am unhappy with how you guys are allowed to keep going at it on a site dedicated to gaming...but that is fine. In the end I still have my game, and I dont have a need to post daily about the big bad SOE regime....can the rest of the folks here say the same?

And to whomever mentioned SOe does enough of their own damage to EQ/EQ2....BAM you win a prize. Yes they do. I understand they arent faultless...but the fact they hold a game I have been a suscriber to since 01 indicates I want them to continue. Is that so far fetched I would care about characters I have had 7 yrs...when you all went to war over ones you had for 2?

Again I say...the war is over...you won...let it go.

I can see your point that you care about the characters you built over the last seven years.  However, I'll state my opinion of SOE based on my experience with them.  If someone basically tells me to "shut up" (no matter how politely or impolitely), I'll ignore them unless they can refute the situation that upset me. 

If you're so upset by the negative publicity on the SWG vet forum, why don't you try to start a "I love SOE" thread on the EQ forums here?
