cuz the star gate is all about exploring so developers should avoid grinding for lvls as much as possible. and ofcourse , that game should be skill based rather then lvl and equip based (im not suggesting that lvl 30 should lose against lvl 1).
a lot of puzzles and tricky worlds.
i think there should be a lot more races then asgard , human goa'uld jaffa.
they should make netural races like bounty hunters , tok'ra.
and they should make a really important role for archeology , science , medical science ... .
and i think that the must make a pvp but it should be equal as rp.

I think that they might make the worlds huge... but also if you don't know at the moment the game has about a 200 hour level cap. which if you think of it is not much..  compaired to other games that is actually really short to reach. 

now  that means there will still be level 1s and level 30's but chances are there will be a lot more level cappers then there are in the other mmo's   and grinding then would not reallly be there... since of course  there is a level cap there might be a small slice of grinding  .. but that wouldn't make sense now would it 

And well ..  there are probably going to be more then Those Races then what you mention But chances are they will not be able to be played *as in Unas.. and the furlings*  now  for all the playing races there probaby will be a chance that you can choose the skills to some extent.. so there will be no Cookie cutter skill set...

and well .  hopfully you enjoy the game when it comes out :)

I was originally very sad to hear that you were going to be able to reach cap so fast but then I gave it some thought.  Reaching the cap fast doesn't bother me if there is still plenty to do once I reach it.  This is why I REALLY hope they do some kind of PvP that includes being able to control planets for resources for your faction.

yeah if you think of it .. its only the level cap.. which as you said would not actually mean the end of the Quest and also PVP.. which if you think of it would be a lot better haveing a fullly maxed character in a month so that you can PvP .. then a Character that you would at least need a year to level up.. let alone gain enough materials so that you can sucessfully PvP

Economy.  People have been talking about player ran economies and so fourth.  I think it would be interesting if they tried NO economy.  Think about it.  If I work for the SGC they are going to issue me my P90 and uniform, I am not going to have to buy it.  Same with the Asgard.  They don't run down to the local Best Buy and pick up a time dialation field, it is provided by their governing body.  As far as getting gear (technology) from other cultures it could work like this.  As you build faction with those cultures they offer to GIVE you technology in trade for perhaps completing tasks for them.  This would also solve the problem of gold farmers and you don't ever have to worry about ruining a economy that doesn't exist. 

PvP.  This would be a great game for land control or should I say planet control.  They are always talking on the show about how X faction control's Y planet.  This is the perfect universe to be able to take and hold planets for resources.  Lets say that the Free Jaffa nation control's a planet that has a large supply of Naquada.  They can then produce higher quality staff weapons for their warriors.  If the SGC takes control of the planet they can produce special rounds using the same resource.  There are hundreds of possibilities.

The PVP idea I like  although the economy Idea I somwhat disagreee with..   .. and the only thing I disagree with on the economy side is that the scientist class is a class that is suppost to  be the crafters of the game .. and well.. wheres the use of crafters when there is nothing to craft  its kinda like if they make the game a pre sg1 season 1 game ...with the intent of you guarding the gate.. which I think most if not all of the people here would say taht would not be fun

well thats unfortunate that you think that way about the game... but a RPG MMO shouldn't just only be somthing like Kill X and Y there should be more to it .. and well with puzzles it in my opionion would actually appeal to those that don't like the fighting aspect in modern MMO's  . not to mention the fact that a change is nice and  puzzles should have been placed a long time ago in other games 

Oh so have all of use on the forums.. and actually I think that they thought of the combate mechanics before Tabula rosa did * but then of course when they announced that I was also a noob on the internet .. with dial up so I actuall haven't heard  of Tabula rose until a couple of months ago * but yeah I beleive most of the views on the game at the moment are its stargate and I 'm gonna get it and play it  unless if it sucks.. .which I hope is highly unlikly that it will sucks :)

I think that the game will be a success.. they will appeal to those that want a modern millitary game,  and of course us stargate fans too..      athough i totally agree with whats been said about the MMO rules.. *such as don't  change your game because some people whine .. * if you don't follow them .. then of course the game will not be a success.. but since I don't see CME doing that I think that this game will be more then a success . 

Actually as stated in the last interview buddhy the game will have a combination of both keyboard targetting and target lock which althoguh is unfortunate in your case  because that certainly states that its not going to be FPS in nature *which isn't really new news.. its been like that since at least last year* It might not though be too WoW like in combate nature .... but if you think of it the game is still RPG like .. wether its God of war *which unlike what you said is RPG like .. don't you upgrade your Character for combat skills ?* or Spellborn  Each and every game has a RPG influence ......            Not to mention that usually in RPG games you do not hold down your mouse but actually click once in a while and also you quene out combate attacks ... althoguh FPS games do involve you holding the bouse buttons down.. so perhaps tahts what you are talking about

actually if you think of it its already been stated that there will be no Asguard Renegeds ... Buuuuut .. you can always RP as one.. although you still are going to be a good Asguard... in the sense that It probably will be bad for you if you PvPed your fellow Asguard

Actually chances are if you think of it there  might not be a chance for gate camping in this game  perhaps the devs might put instances in the game where the area around the gate is safe *unless if its scripted* .. or perhaps make it so that you have like a minute of safty when you exit the gate. unless of course if its scripted then well the NPC's would be doing the camping

Then of course you can always think what happens if there are certain servers where PVP will not be allowed *such as PvE then perhaps Gate camping will not occur ..
