The thing I didn't like about the game was the fact you stayed in one city and all the quests were instanced. There was one or two areas that were outside but it was still instanced for you and your party. But give it a try and see for yourself..you might like it. |

No, you can always respec later but the more times you respec the more it will cost ya. My suggestion is to go holy if your gunna do nothing but group and run instances or go shadow if your gunna solo alot.

If nothing else you might have to call them and get it all cleared up.

All I can say is Mythic now has one MMO under their belt and I hope they learned something from DAOC. I know that War is gunna be a huge hit with my group I play with and I see alot of them talking of converting when it comes out.

Well said... I played DAOC along time ago and for me it was one of the better games that I have played. If I didn't have friends that I promised to play games with I would probably still be playing today. Unfortunately I am the friend that says "oh you playing this, well let me just jump right over..." Sad for me but great for my friends. I hope you enjoy your stay in DAOC.

A purely personal opinion question: upgrade or start new?

I just came back to EQ myself and re activated my old account..I did however start and alt on that account and started playing from scratch. The only problem I had was fighting the urdge to pass Equipment and coins to my alt..lol. I have enjoyed playing the new character and getting back into the feel of the game and all the new stuff it offers.
