Blizzard is a sham of a gaming company and it just goes to show how the gaming market is nothing but sheeps. Every single game they put out has and is a total ripoff of a real game made by real developers who actually try to innovate and expand what the genre means. Don't kid yourself. WarCraft and StarCraft? Same game and neither are anything but complete ripoffs of what Westwood was doing with Command & Conquer. Diablo? Again, just a ripoff of that mid 90s Dragon whatever it was called series of games. WoW is just an EQ ripoff. All Blizzard does is steal what other people have created. And FFS, they've been milking the same tired three franchises for over a decade and the one time they decided to do something relatively original (for them anyways, I'm talking about StarCraft: Ghost) they decided that it was too hard when you don't have someone else's game to completely ripoff in nearly every single way. Blizzard sucks and is the single worst thing to happen to gaming. |

Better than the QOTW forum is this thread which basically contains all known information about Earthrise. It's easily categorized and also contains thumbnail galleries of all screenshots and other media. |

Originally posted by Kurush Okay smart guy, go find an MMORPG forum where people aren't whining for bug fixes and additional content. Your argument is retarded. And according to MMOGChart.com, which isn't always accurate but the guy does what he can with the information that is available, you can clearly see that SWG's subscriber base was holding steady at 300k until about January 2005 where it took a 50k hit over the course of a few months. This was the point in the game's post launch development where the devs started ignoring everything in the entire game for the sake of jedi and jedi content. In April 2005 (when the CU hit) it bled an enormous amount of subs and then finally died in November 2005 (when the NGE hit). I'd thank you for playing but your entire post is embarassingly incorrect. If I were you I'd delete my MMORPG.com account and retreat to a mountain cabin so you can get to work on those mail bombs. |

I'd like a BattleTech/MechWarrior MMO that is somehwat in the vein of PlanetSide except bigger. Way bigger. You have tons of factions, lots of great lore, huge differences between the superpowers (Inner Sphere & Clan). It's simply the most epic setting for an MMO. |

Originally posted by D3mis3 Um, yes. Sorry, bud, but they've been saying COCPs are "almost ready" for months now. I bought it the first time around when Potter released his little producer letter in April. The second time around not so much when the new producer regurgitated verbatim Potter's letter. Everything the TR devs have ever promised is completely vapor. And let's put this in context assuming that COCPs even go live ever. Okay, so one actual content feature per year that would take any other MMO dev just a few months to do. And? TR is plagued with the most lethargic and apathetic MMO devs, scratch that, game devs I've ever beared witness to. They make SOE look like wizkids which is sad. |

Diablo is again a complete ripoff of a mid 90s game series that was called Dragon something or other. WoW is nothing but a slightly refined EQ with better graphics. Sorry, but Blizzard are the undisputed kings of ripping off PC gaming's real visionaries and innovators and what's patently pathetic about their whole operation is that they've been milking the same three franchises for over a decade and that people are still buying the tired dribble they keep reconstituting every three to five years. Blizzard is the biggest scam in gaming history. |

Awesome sauce, OP. I loved MCO for like the two months it was actually going. Don't mind the trolls here; if you hadn't posted on the forums I wouldn't have found your game and I'm glad I did. That being said, if you don't offer a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T I'll cut you (c'mon, you already have the Cuda model; they're not that different). Originally posted by Ozmodan Yeah, I totally agree. CCP were retarded for making EVE after Earth & Beyond flopped. WTF were those idiots thinking? Man, they're such stupid heads. |

But you'll be a clone of everyone else? No, not at all. GW has hundreds upon hundreds of skills per class and elite skills can only be obtained by slaying mobs which use them and some of them take hundreds of hours gameplay to even get to, let alone defeat. Not only that but many abilities, factional and PvE ones, are based on faction ratings and take a considerable amount of effort before they get good (but they do get pretty damn good). Not to mention there's the gear grind, the title grinding, the ability to earn everything through either PvE or PvP. I agree with the OP, GW is pretty much the best hack and slash MMO out there. GW has dozens of minigames to keep one occupied. It offers simply the best PvE experience in any MMO to date. The only downside is the six member instancing for almost everything and while the GW fanbois like to tout it's PvP I found it absolutely dreadful. The mechanics of the combat are fine but the actual PvP environment and matches are a complete joke. GW's PvP is smaller then even a very small Counter Strike server. |

I'm not going to play KOTORO period. The lore is uninsteresting and the latest interview with Bioware on it they were very clear they have absolutely no intention of crapping out anything but a WoW clone with stronger "story elements." |

The OP makes a terrible point. WoW does not "set the standard." WoW is an aberration, a fluke, an outlier. It isn't the standard anything. No MMORPG will ever have as large an audience again. Even Blizzard has realized this and they've admitted it when they stated that WoW 2 would never reach the sub numbers of WoW. The sooner developers get it through their retarded skulls that 250k to 400k subs is indeed a smashing success the sooner we can finally get past the WoW clones that have, and continue to, hold back this entire genre with stupid games that are poorly developed. |

The devs have recently stated they're still on schedule and that beta is expected to release this autumn. This means at the earliest we'll see it September 22, at the latest December 22. |

Minor party members? He's put Ralph Nader on his poll and left out the third largest political party in America in terms of supporters and elected officials currently holding office. If Ralph "Corvair" Nader can make the list then Bob Barr sure as hell should. |
