Wow, that is so awesome! I too love the music of EQ2, it reminds me of EQ1, my first game. That music evokes some sort of inner emotion that no other game has ever done....it is so weird.
I know some ppl liken it to your first love, etc. Maybe that is it. Before EQ1 i never knew what an MMO was or that they even existed. I was instantly shocked and fell in love. I guess that incredible amazement is what has placed the EQ music in a certain part of my brain that always brings back that euphoria (an EQ guild I was in for a bit on the Nameless, haha). Oh well, gonna log in and listen! |

Thanks, glad to hear SK and Warlock work well together....my wife can solo with her lock if she wants as well, I hear they solo well too.

....if Im a SK what would be best for my wife, warlock or necro?
Also, for my solo times, what has the greatest potential for soloing the hardest content of the melee classes, no casters or healers. Thanks! |

I haven't played in a long time. I am trying to find a game I can play with my wife besides WOW, which I refuse to play. Right now she likes RIFT but i am playing SWTOR. We both played COH and liked it but that is no more. We both played EQ2 as well and she enjoyed it. I am looking at either LOTRO again or EQ2. I am more familiar with EQ2 due to the time I have subbed to it over the years (on and off) and I am looking forward to EQ Next....so it looks like I might make EQ2 our new home but...... What classes to play. We both love pet classes, animal pets, not unded. In Rift I was a Beastmaster and she was a Hunter (or ranger, whatever it was) and we were somewhat happy since we both has animal pets. Unfortunately there was no way of getting new pet avatars and the Beastmaster soul was kinda weak which caused me to lose interest. Now to my real question, does the Beastlord class allow you to have different pets and can you arm them like you could in EQ? Also, is there any way possible to get a pet for a druid or ranger that has any effectiveness in EQ2 now? My wife really loves her animal pets and depends on them (she loved her hunter in WOW). |

I loved SWG before they ruined it. My first MMO was EQ1 and I loved it until lvl cap and LFG made me quit CoX was one of the funnest me and my wife played I like SWTOR but they wasted so much time and money on the "story telling" |

I looked but havent been able to find it.... I really cant believe this is happening to such a good game. I have so many extremely fond memories with this game and some friends from the military. It was during a bad part of my life and this game brought me so much happiness. This and SWG's end suck for me. |

I NEVER had as much fun grouping up as in this game.

I agree one million percent!!! This is the ONLY game my wife liked to group in....this game had a community, it really did. It is not a bunch of @ssh@ts like WoW. I am really shocked to hear this game is over......It was such a mainstay for me back in the day like SWG was. I started with EQ in 2001 and then to SWG and then when they ruined SWG I was begged to try CoH. I thought it would be so stupid and dumb and I was soooo wrong. It was one of the funnest games, actually the second funnest game I ever played. (SWG, pre CU was my first funnest game). Anyway, I really am shocked... Do any of you remember Coyote? He was a player that the devs immortalized in the game's tutorial. He was a big fan of COH and helped a lot in testing and what not. He unfortunately died and the devs made his toon into a permanent fixture as an NPC in the tutorial. I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT!!! What a group of incredible humanbeings. I salute you as i whipe away a tear....... |

Thinking of coming back to play a Beastlord but my wife wants a class to roll with me. She loves ranged classes and pets herself and played a hunter in WOW. She likes healing as well. I was thinking of druid or ranger but not a summoner. However, perhaps a mystic or something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

It would have been nice to have some customiztion....dyed pet armor or at least different pet models. Maybe in the future. |

THanks! I am finally back from Afghanistan so we can finally start this! |

Are you able to get a different pet or is i just the same one for everyone? |

Hi, I am in a new guild that is only lvl 30 and I want to help level the guild but I am only lvl 17 right now. I know tradeskill writs as well as city writs for killing stuff are a way to get status points but would it be best if I rush to max level and then do the high level writs as they seem to reward much more status? Heck, when I turned in that stauts loot it said my guild didnt get any status as they were already too high in level but I did get status.....I was a little depressed and I then realized that I might have to hurry and level in order to earn more status points. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

I stopped beating my head against a wall with WOW and am now playing EQ2 and I love it!! There is sooooo much in this game. There is no game on the market with the depth of this game, none! I found a good low level guild that I am excited about. I will be able to help level it up which means i am a contributor which is something I am driven to do. I have recently discovered housing in this game. I can see myself spending countless hours on that.....and I am not into decorating but the fact that I can build a shrine for myself and all my glory...he!! yeah!!! |

I am going to make a carpenter but I want him to be either a Monk or Bruiser....is there any real difference between the two? I don't like the silly outfits the monks wear but aside from that, I don't know what the real difference is. Can anyone help? |

From what I have seen in game and collected from others is that the apartments are just that while the homes you have yards, etc.....but they are all instanced, right? |
|
|
I am going to have to buy one of these floating island homes....they are too incredible not to. So, do they have upkeeps associated with them too? I guess I need to be at max level before I can have the items or money for the items to decorate. I wonder how all this will play out in EQ Next....if they will bring it along or not, I hope they do bring these concepts with them. |

Whoa!! I just saw what appears to be not just housing but floating islands where people actually have waterfalls and yards? Is this right or is that a guild hall? |

We have a SK/Inq duo.....we were thinking of duoing something that isn't a healer this time....but the two extra accounts for the buff toons could be interesting. But the Zerker and Swashie would be capable of wrecking havoc? |

Thanks, I didn't know that. I know the mouse wheel rotates the object, which makes it easy. What type of housing items do you get as quest rewards if you start in the other zones? I would assume the Darklight woods would be evil or dull? Are the items from the new starter zone (Halas?) done in a Nordic theme? Thanks! |
