I have a level 70 hunter and think I am good well at least not bad. I do not Afk anytime while fighting but on our server, hunters are not wanted at instances or raids. Heck there are even guilds who advert for members but state NO Hunters.

Seems alot seem to think hunters have nothing to offer. A good hunter can save players lifes. I respected from BM to do more dps and now...well I have a hunter but I am working on building a char that is wanted ..Priest

I use my hunter to run instances or to gather things for my other toons.

Hard way to get a go -fer if you ask me..alot of work for nothing

Maybe oneday blizz will loook into letting hunters brnig something to the table..AVOID making  a hunter or at least ask around on the server before you too spend endless hours getting to level 70

Thanks for the price update. We checked the places we buy from here in Finland and was 49.95 Euros.

Even at 30 though I do not want to pay out if unless I know I want to play, why pay and then play a few days and decide it is not for me. However I do appreicate the information, should they ever go free trail and we decide to pay.

Maybe they will concider a trail offer at some point. We checked and  to buy the 2 games would cost us 100Euros so we are hesitant to put out so much without knowing. Even if we bought 1 it would be 50 and I am not sure if I want to make that kind of investment without knowing I will like it.

As I said, maybe once the newness wears off they will concider a free trial, even if it is a limited trial .

I was reading over their web site but do not see a free trail offer, have I missed it or is there not one?

Sounds great as I like to solo alot. But are there areas or events that require you to group?

I play wow now and seems to get the better items (armor, mats, weapons ect) you have to do instances or raids. Hard to do when you can not find a good group. Please do not say Guilds as I am not in one by choice. I dislike the immaturity I have found to be in most.

PS I created a hunter in Wow..leveled to 70 only to find out hunters on our server are not wanted in any end of game events or in alot of guilds (not that I want to join them but seen many advertise for players but not hunters).

So I would like a game where all types of players bring something to the table

I love wow but wish 2 things were better there.

1. The weekly update, repair thing is Great but it is weekly and they are down every week, BLA I want to play not wait till lunch time till I can play

2. I have seen a very immature player base over all on the server we play on. And in wow you need groups and help with some quest, instances and raids. So sorta bad if you prefer solo or are selective about who you play with

We have looked at trying out LOTR since it seems to be close to wow but maybe offers a more mature player base and less down time

I love reading the forums here. So much information and real player opinions not just hype.

I play wow  and it is great but the immature player base on my server leaves alot to be desired. Spam, rude, unfriendly and most times unhelpful. Of course there are exceptions but over all that is the attitude.

I hope to read and read and read till one day I find a game that will offer the best of the things I seek. We (husband and I ) looked at LOTR but 1 problem, have to pay to even try it out. After sinking to much money into a game that was unplayable for months we are not wanting to "trust"  spend 100Euros to buy 2 games ..so I read and wait and watch ...

I would like to thank all who put in so much time and effort here.

Your input, thoughts, and ideas keep me coming back

2. Some of the games listed, looked very interesting but I could not find the free trails for european players or free trails in general

3. We have started playing wow and the game is amazing though I am often saddend by the maturity or lack of in the general player base.

4. We have looked at LOTR but seems you have to pay to play only , after the costly mistake with AE I am not wanting to pay to find out if I like a game or not.

My husband and I are looking at this game but have concerns over paying for it before we know if we even like it.

We are playing wow now and love wow but the player base well, I am sure most of you know the problems there

Is there any talk of allowing limited trials ?

This was a great game at one time. Not anymore.

Read their forums, Search for the real problems players have had and see how many players suffered and for how long

The remember while they suffered with an unplayable game, devs were working out a new payment plan not fixing the issues.

Instead of fixing the issues they worried with money and how to make more while making players think they were making the game FREE to play.  Just educate yourself on the real AE before you waste your time and money

DO not bother unless you really just want to stand in one place and lag up time after time.

The positive things are ; it makes you appreciate games that really care and offer quailty for the money.

This is not one of those games

in a matter of 5 months (returned to AE when IWG got the game) I put over 200 Euros in with the expansions and  monthly payments. Of that time the last 2 months I could not even play because lag was soo bad. Roll backs, lag, and now buy this and buy that instead of monthly fee

I loved this game for soo long and now I feel cheated 

PS regarding free play.. read carefully before you fall for that one

Unless you are at least a certain level of  paying to play , you are soo limited on free play that you will never reach high levels,

Well maybe your kids can, if they are born today and you start their account and play for them till they are 18 then give them the account. Maybe they can be level 100.

PS I was level 103/105 so I did play the game and gave it more than a fair chance

Search and read their forums. IF they have not buried the problems to far you will see how many players and for how long they have been suffering..

Be smart play wow ,. or some other well managed  and dev game

IN the old days this was a fun game..now it is not

Lag and the endless pay for this and that ..(which runs into alot of cash fast) makes this game a no fun to play

Be smart take your money and toss it out the window, at least you can watch it fall to the ground and watch others run to grab it..

If you put your money in this game you are wasting it just the same but you will not see any running, unless it is you running for medicaine because of the headacke you will have .

Love lag?

PS if you think it is just me..do a search and read how long LAG has been an issue and how many promises players got on repairs..

I played this game for a year and then left it..came back when they promised the game was back on track

I bought expansions and paid for months and months...begging for  reassurance lag would be fixed (check how many months players have been having SERIOUS issues with lag on their forums). When you posted having lag issues and followed their request to posting traces ect..you were attacked and told your comp was the problem, your ISP,  you are such a noob you are not lagging and if you are it is not AE...Problem in the statement claming it was not AE is sooo many had the problem.

So before waisting your time on this game. Which has now gotten so greedy they changed the p2p to buy to get. Meaning you can not have alot of things (unless you pay for them). Me I rather pay a monthly fee and not be chanrged for each small item. They have totally lost touch with the player base and  instead of addressing issues like LAG (lag and death are common place), they spent time thinking of new ways to make more money.

If you want to play a game where you have lag free playing,

If you want to play a game where the players matter,

If you want to play a game that will bring you hours of fun,

DO NOT waste your time playing this one..

We are in search of a game to play which will offer the following:

Tradeskills (crafting)

PVE , Pvp is not something we are interested in and forced pvp is a no

Reasonable monthly fee price

Limited lag issues

Good Dev Support

We live In Europe so this may effect what games we are offered.

So I ask if you are playing a game and think we would enjoy it as well please let me know

I have played this game for years and then took time away. I recently returned it and was dissappointed to see some of the changes.

The fee is not so bad 8.95 a month but they have expansions that add up about $40.00 right now plus monthly fee

Lag is horrible and I do not see much repairing in that area. Sad because this is or was a good game. Some players are immature and buy their play time with in game items.
