I could also add that FPS multiplayer is generally 16 vs 16 up to 64 vs 64 and so beats the number of players in the same group as well as generally having better teamplayers, more intelligent people (flame suit on) and more action.

I predict a future where future FPS games take over the MMO market. The MMO companies will continue to make WOW clones forever, and continue to fail, while companies like DICE and Infinity Ward continues to make games that are bigger and better, closing in on what we would call "MMO"s in functionality.

you can write domain names in a plethora of different ways W _W_W doT C o M, etc.

-> one possible solution could involve Bayesian filtering, but here the processing overhead has to be evaluated.

Sprint causes my character to fly across the screen occasionally (Well, more than that) when used. Ranger's Stunning shot deals 200-400 damage but I've have it crit over 1k. There was another post about this I believe. Random numbers are random and don't make sense.

5. Queues. I'm not into waiting 2 hours or more to get into the game. I'm not sure why they opened with so few servers, especially with the game being out for a while in Asia.

6. Channels in the 1-10 and 11-20 zones but none for the zones above that? It's hard enough to muster the intention of grinding, but when I do I have to worry about large masses of people all over doing the same.

7. Gold spam. This is out of hand. And I need to log onto their main site to place in a ticket! This is ridiculous. I can block all the spammers I want but it seems like theres an army of them.

8. Lag. Constant disconnections are happening left and right for many players. Once again, with the game being out for some time you would imagine they have a pretty hefty revenue to make the game smooth and solid, but apparently not. The other night the server randomly came down without word as well, which will also lead me to my next point

9. Communication. When the server went down we received no word at all on the status of our server for 4 hours. When word finally came out, it was a Twitter update. This is very- VERY poor communication with customers. Forums were packed with threads and no one knew what was going on at all because after a certain point we couldn't even see the server lists. Another issue is there are no updates on the launch client. Nothing at all. When servers are down for maintenance.. I wouldn't know. It would just tell me I couldn't connect to the servers and kick me off the game. This causes a lot of confusion. Lastly, petitions need to be carried out through their website- wtf? I begin to wonder if they even have any game masters at all.

10. As mentioned earlier. No in-game support.

11. Chat. The opacity and font cannot be changed which is a bother for me as I find the text to be far too large and even with my chat filtered I find it difficult to keep up with legion/party/whisper chats. The lack of a command list irks me as well.

12. Triggered emotes- these are just annoying...

13. Oh screw it, you get the point. I won't be returning until serious changes are made.

Not really impatient, just have higher expectations. In the advertisement to buy the prelaunch, early character creation is one of the enticements. I bought the prelaunch and I'm not able to proceed as advertised.

so i would be happy about a 1 char per server limit or maybe a second unlockable char as some other poster said about SWG

i think most players who think of their char(s) as toon(s) will always want more slots, "hardcore" roleplayers *laughs* who emerge in their character will be happy with one char per server.

I would assume he is referring to the ease of use, the Win7 UI has sever fairly subtle changes and a few not so subtle but over all it is more comfortable. I do regularly work on XP32 Vista32 Vista64 Win764 and various server OS, as a matter of preference I prefer Win7 (from the point of view of feel) in terms of features Win7 has several changes to the UI in particular the task bar, I have noticed a clear improvement with networking between XP and Vista from Vista to Win7 nothing notable. In terms of multitasking Win7 is clearly the top dog, I regularly lock up Vista and well XP was crap from day 1. With VPCs Win7 has a few new features to include the ability to boot from a virtual drive nothing a gamer would probably mess with but none the less.  In terms of general stability Win7 is an improvement you will find that Vista becomes highly unstable over time such as running a work station a week or so without a reboot, Win7 however I have not noticed this, further the Win7 I am referring to gets a lot more abuse than the Vista builds the Vista builds are business systems 1 gaming (highly unstable) the main Win7 system is my main gaming platform has a ridicules number of betas on it and I use it for my own private development projects so it gets worked I would say twice as hard as any of the other builds and is an older set of hardware salvaged from working systems here and there.
 
In short Win7 is a clear improvement over Vista and Vista as clunky as many found it was a clear improvement over XP. I am not a MS fan and if more games would run on it I would favor OSX (feel free to flame me you nix lovers) but they don't so for a mainstream gamer Win7 is the way to go. On a side note if your still running 32 I highly recommend you go 64 when you make the OS switch time to take full advantage the RAM you hardware has been able to handle for the better part of a decade.
 

if nothing else you can dule boot your current system (I would sugest this any way untill its live) and give it a try, assuming you can still get the RC cant remimber when they are pulling it.

=> because of support! at some point in time the previous crap from microsoft will be discontinued, so you will no longer get security fixes, etc.

conclusion:

if you are not willing your system to expierience bit-rot :) or severe security holes without vendor support ==> what other solution do you have?
