They are gonna be added post release :D There was an interview where they said this, but I can't find it at the moment :s And that's all we know for sure.....
There have been a lot of rumors though that the guild halls would be in flying airships as can be seen floating around the spires of Lion's Arch, but don't get too excited!

Already saw this on reddit :p But it's still a nice example on why Anet is my favorite company :) What other company would do this? |

Excuse me for actually PLAYING the game and really liking it a lot. I hope you aren't talking about that aborted WoW-clone called SWTOR, cause last thing I remembered that game had an NDA close to a month before release and Bioware didn't listen jackshit to their Betaplayer feedback -_-
When was gw2 NDA lifted? somewhere around april (or close to that, don't remember exact date) Does Anet listen to beta feedback? Yes, they actually do as proven each time by each following beta
So sorry for finding this "next game" awesome and finding no reasons why it wouldn't live up to MY expectations |

Originally posted by FredomSekerZ Because they come here with the thought that hearts ARE dynamic events, which they really aren't. They come here bashing the "dynamic" system, while they are instead bashing the hearts and that is why we get annoyed.
If their mindset is to rush to levelcap by only using hearts, they are playing the wrong game and gw2 really isn't for them.

Originally posted by DKLond I didn't say it's gonna be good at release -_- I said that if I play a Beta of a new mmorpg and it doesn't catch my interest in the first half hour I won't bother with it. If an mmo gets through this "preliminary" round It can still fall flat on it's face My point being that determinating a WoW-clone doesn't really take that long and if I don't get some enjoyment out of the first 30 minutes, I'll most likely never get any ejoyment out of it.

Originally posted by DKLond It really isn't a bunch of bullshit, Half an hour with any game and I would be able to tell you if it is good in my opinion. If the foundations supporting all this "greatness" are whack, then I won't bother with the game, simple as that.. |

Definition - What does Sandbox mean?Sandbox is a style of game in which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and change a virtual world at will. In contrast to a progression-style game, a sandbox game emphasizes roaming and allows a gamer to select tasks. Instead of featuring segmented areas or numbered levels, a sandbox game usually occurs in a “world” to which the gamer has full access from start to finish. from: http://www.techopedia.com/definition/3952/sandbox Guild Wars 2 IS a sandbox according to that definition -_- And you do have full access from start to finish, you just die if you go to a zone that is too dangerous for you |

Was this a necessary feature? I could be wrong but I didn't think loot from dungeons and such was characterbound on equip? Or is it? |

The mechanics they promised are actually in the game and thus aren't questionable -_- |

Originally posted by ReallyNow10 Actually I find the way Anet implemented it, a great game element for an mmorpg The fact that they are quite short, can be ignored and anyone can join your experience are definitely positive points.
I'm curious..how else would you implement the RPG from mmorpg in an mmorpg? And I know that some ppl like to RP by themselves but that aspect is very much limited |

Originally posted by ReallyNow10 The personal storyline in GW2 is a branching instanced adventure telling the story of your character which anyone can join. The different chapters are also very short which contributes to the fact that personal story in GW2 doesn't feel "forced". Together with the fact that you can actually TOTALLY ignore your personal story if you want. Also it isn't really an on-rails adventure as you, as a player, have a big influence in deciding what the next course of action would be... Your progress is recorded by making subtle changes in your home instance which is neat as this gives the feeling of a truly dynamic world. (In your home instance that is :))
But if you don't like it..don't play it! You can go through the entirety of gw2 without ever touching your personal story! |

2) Moving forward, what do we need to improve? You seem to focus too much on one capture point (the mines), which is logical since a lot of action is going on there. But would be nice to see what was happening with the other players... Secondly In a domination type map it is imperative that the viewer knows which points are captured by which team. At this moment it is almost impossible to see who is holding what. (The player can see this easily but we as the viewer cannot) 3) What things in general would you like to changed in the sPvP scene? I will focus on bringing visibility to these things in my casts Well: -Spectator mode - GvG But they are both coming post-release so... |

Offended by Blizzard's new strategy to recruit players
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 7/15/12 10:19:25 AM
I can only say that this is really weird... Was there really a need for this kind of system? LOL do you really need mentoring in WoW?
I also don't how this will recruit more players? I as an outsider won't hear anything from this Guild mentoring system.. |
