as the topic says: let the site made a diet, give the site more "outline", the site looking for me a bit to overloaded. additional the website loading times will be also increased for non US citiziens.
the video streaming service for the various mmos are a good idea, but please remove the embedded windows media player and replace em for a flash based one. result: much more performance and no errors in non internet explorer based browsers.. |

with the first screenshots and videos from vanguard i beeing impressed, i let impress me from sigil.. i know most of videos and screenshots from gamecompanys are just propaganda and the game dont look like showed on this media. after i joined beta 3 i see the "real" vanguard and it disappoint me basically, i hoping the final version of it would be much better but as we know here is no big different between beta and "final".
my main question at brad mcquaid would be: why does it took so long to develop vanguard saga of heroes (i think 3-4 years)? is it the questing system? it seems so. connecting tones of average quests with other ones can take time, yes ;) i see no other reason because: bad animations of characters (the half giants are the best example) a lack of different designed items (no helmets, lvl 25 items having the same design like lvl 5 items or getting just placeholder textures) bugged combat system (they work on it) bugged grouping/ groups several crafting bugs out of date gameengine with terrible performance no anti-aliasing memory leak the missing from two player classes (berserker and inquisitor) dont know much about exploiting, duping and cheating .. client crashes and so on..

vanguard is like swg. this is a good compare. but it isnt like the core version from star wars glaxies, it is more like the NGE version from swg. same simple gameplay, UI etc. typical casual player game. for experienced players is vanguard just a grinder.

the launchpad timer is bugged. sometimes the whole download hangs up without any warning message. keep an eye on it ;)

the open beta is not only for US. just the fileplanet version of it cant be activatet from non US/canada countrys. but you have to pay for it.. so wait a few weeks and the official beta 5 starts. how ever, if you in you see you dont have anything missed ... the game looks better as it really is.

yes the upcomming new graphic engine is the pwn.. just watch this little preview movie. http://myeve.eve-online.com/download/videos/Default.asp?a=download&vid=150 offtopic: iam so glad SOE isnt involved in any CCP productions. since everquest 2 is SOE for me one of the badest mmo companys out there. they patched everquest 2 and SWG in the dead ("casual player friendly"), and iam sure they do the same with vanguard and gods & heroes. i know they are "only" the publishers for both games, but hey they want make sure that you can see: it`s a SOE. iam in the vanguard b.ta and already today i know i dont want play this game. |
