i hate this 12 year old sith-kiddo shit... i really hope there is a useful non-lightsword wearing rebel counterpart! i do not think of a simple smuggler, i want see more a rebel intelligence / agent type.

i waiting for the "champions online is now free2play" announcing lol.

who cares if he now makes the coffee or not.. where is the game?

How Helpful Are MMOG Previews?

they are helpful for the "previewers" because they get payed for it lol.

I would like a to play a new & good Sci-Fi MMO, but this game, judging by the screenshots, looks like a pile of junk. Seriously.

Am I the only one who think this? I am quite sure STO will be a major failure, as I can't imagine this game will appeal to anyone but the die hard fanbois of Star Trek.

Good luck to you all though. You really deserve it...

nah, i think the same. cryptic using the "champions online" engine for star trek online, i know this gfx-engine from the CO beta and i bet cryptic still didn't managed to bring in anti-aliasing for ATI cards..!

i think the star trek license is again a wasted license. at the moment the game have a average to high hype-level, most of it comes from the name "star trek" and the huge community, but i think short after the release no one anymore cares about this "game". champions online is the best example for it lol.

however! the art- and graphicstyle in todays "AAA"-mmog ttitels are most in time not my taste. star wars the old republic looks also very ugly (US-american pastel color palette..), way to cartoonish and in the general developed for 12 year olds.

lol, epic failcom

hey young rebel! go and get me 20 US dogtags and receive a nice reward! this is what i call innovative gameplay :D

ship classes = standard tactics = boring gameplay = fail.  where are the mmog's for peopels who want use their brains?

is this a disney or a star wars game? the game gets more and more "cartoony", this sucks, it looks they have design it for 12 year old kids!

indeed.. classes are very needless. without classes the players have much more room for their personal decisions.

From SW:TOR , Star trek online and on up they all seem like a soloers wet dream

yeah, indeed. in addition the focus of SWTOR is the story(line)... story-focus in a mmorpg...! lol, i think the player(s) should create the story and not the game or the devs. i want be a active part of a dynamic gameworld and not just a brainless random guy in a movie!

the player-community changes every few years. with every new generation of players, you get new playstyles: the industry trys always to create the perfect product for their future costumers... how knows maybe we will see soon games, without any kind of player death or games where the player gets XP instead of a death penalization, infinite cash, items, houses, you win 1000 interwebs!11

i playing since "everquest" mmorpg's. i joined often random groups and most in time i stayed at the same group for the whole evening or for the whole night. no one ever left the group after the fist wipe and no one runs away after he turned his facking quest in, the social part was much more higher!

why? because the whole game was a group experience (after lvl 20 or so) - when you act like a dork you can instant delete your player character! this is what i call a real mmorpg.

today there is nothing comparable. anything is designed for 12 year old brainless kids without any kind of fantasy. give me some cash and i will create a challenging mmorpg for mature players.

they can't win wars why should they than win against some random NPC´s? the US military is the most worst  in the world. mil .. ridiculous.

the buddy-key works when you insert it with the dashes between the numbers and letters.. for example: 12DCV34-5DC6-78E9-0

you need a 6 month subscription for one betakey? wow, that's a expensive test demo: "Beta" is a nickname for software which has passed the alpha testing stage of development and has been released to users for software testing before its official release. they should pay the tester for testing their software, they make later the cash with the product, the testers don't get paid for this important job.

what does this "robot guy" carries on his shoulder? a cyber peg-leg? a flue form the future? or is it a kebap for todays BBQ?

when this is rly a  weapon...  then they should instant redesign all weapon models! bring in more "realism from the future", give em the "used vintage style" remove the slick and boring, disney - world of warcraft / tabula rasa feeling - it sucks.

nice... but now they should patch the game to fix the various sound and FPS problems.

to bring the PC and the gaming consoles together is a nice idea. a mulitplatform release would be the best: to board an enemy ship should be fun.

better wait for SWTOR ...! the secret world is still a funcom game, i bet most players will be again very disappointed... well, calm down and stop the unnecessary hype :]

when u hear eve-online what comes in your mind?

nerdy screensaver action

forced skill training times

boredom

it bet it will fail like age of conan. i wonder how they find again a investor, i dont think i will buy again a funcom product.
