Lets state facts, the game was released in a shitty state, the devs acknowledged this, and what did they do? They let EVERYONE who bought the game, play for free for close to a year. to get the game to a state where it was worthy of a sub then they started charging. With a realm reborn they admitted the game was subpar, they admitted they couldve done much better and thats what they are doing. The game producer has written a letter and detailed every step the game is taking and has stuck too it. The ARR beta forums are amazing, the devs are having conversations, listening to feedback and explaining why features are the way they are, or agreeing with testers and letting us know if they are going to implement a suggestion made by the community. They want this game to succeed even more then the fans that are supporting it.
Name one company american or otherwise that took a released game offline and went back to the drawing board? EA gams blamed us when star wars failed, neverwinter is incomplete and barely playable without investing 50 to 100 bucks a week. Square enix has proved they deserve some loyalty, that alone is reason enough for me to play this game. |

PWE Banning Players For Playing Foundation Missions
General Discussion « Neverwinter 5/08/13 2:57:13 AM

There is a review process, any mission that makes it past that review process should be playable, if ti makes it past the fucking review process how exactly is it OK TO BE BANNED for playing it. The review process is in place to say this mission is acceptable, and this mission isnt, if it isnt an acceptable mission then IT SHOULDNT BE PLAYABLE by anyone who isnt volunteering to review unfinished content. Simple as that. |

Every MMO created today follows some made up formula that devolopers and producers seem to think is the "right way" to make an mmo, and they end up with WoW, version 1214515145523 because they keep makign the same fucking game over and over again.
All the great MMO have horrible graphics because they are old, that has nothing to do with anything. |

Why TESO wasn’t designed as a true sandbox MMORPG

Originally posted by azzamasin If devs always try to follow the path blazed for them by their predecessors they will never create their own path. Elder scrols has a chance to truly breakt eh mold, but they have made it clear that they dont want to risk it, this is star wars the old republic all over again. Faction locked races - this comes from wow, its not an elder scroll thing, because there are no faction locks on races. faction locked territory - i am alright with faction owning territory, but to be completely banned from entering it? thats a terrible idea.
I have no fuckng faith in this game, i expect it to go the route of swtor, flash in the pan, awesome for about 2 weeks, then who gives a fuck come end game. |

Elder scrolls, a game known for its unbound unlimited freedom and exploration, is making an MMo which restricts both freedom and exploration.
Sounds like star wars all over again, these devs need to stop riding on the fucking names of popular games and actually take the time to play the fucking game, that way thye dont bastardize any adaptation they decide to make.
Ill just play neverwinter. |

We dont want games - we want worlds.
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 11/18/12 1:40:08 PM
age of wushu really captures that world feel. Everything about it feels like what mmos should be striving for.
-hybrid sandbox / thempark -open world pvp -built in bounty, police and jail system - player made economy and run economy.
Everything about the game while playing it feels like your character is apart of a living world and not just another number. Hell even when you log your character off he becomes part of the world, hes now the blacksmith, or a peddler or the innkeeper, or the town guard, making money, and experience for you while youre sleeping.
The game has a lot of featuress that should be in other games. |

This game will really make you apprecieate the fact that time and dedication matters once again. All the new games have this trend where you can play 2 hours a day and be as awesome as the dude who plays 18 hours a day. i personally hate that mentality and i think hard work should be reward. This game rewards hard work thats for sure. And there are so manyt hings to do, its not just about the combat, its not just about the crafting or pvp, its about living a life in game, you can only make one character, and youa re playing that character story, and the offline training really adds life to the world, when you log off your character doesnt just dissapear, now hes the town guard, now hes the local blacksmith the chef, etc etc.
It is really amazing for a free to play game. |

A lot fo people are going to be turned off by this game because of a few things.
First they wont understand the Exp/ cultivation system, its poorly expained and it will frustrate people who arent paitent. Second, the experience cap on life skills. Third, the combat system isnt cut and dry, takes a lot of learning to figure out what youre supposed to do and when. forth this new generation of ADD gamers are going to get a bit of a shock when they realize leveling takes time, theres no super grind to max level, because there is no max level. progression is based on both time spend in game and time spent waiting for your character to grow.
This game is great so far, i plan on playing it until elderscrolls/neverwinter online and as a free to play game, i think it could be top 10. |
