Look at swtor, a leveling curve so fast that youhad to skip quests chains just so you wouldnt outlevel the content, forget doing dungeons if you even did the bonus series the next planet would be 90% greyed out to you. Its all a joke, i seriously miss the days of eq 1 and lineage 2 when it actually took 2 or 3 months to hit max level, not 2 or 3 days. |

lets see them balance this so it doesnt turn into 40 viable skills and 460 nonsense abilities. I find it hard to believe this system wont just turn into people asking for the best and nobdy experiementing, followed by the ones who experiment sharing what they learned so nobody else experiements.
I dont see funcom being able to balance a system like this, all wait and see however. |

Star Wars : The Massive Snaf-fu!!
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/22/11 10:24:06 AM
Yeah, bioware is teh first company to ever do this, you know they dont charge you until the 30 days is up right , you just need to prove you have some sort of valid subscription method, you know you can cancel it right away right, just to make sure it doesnt automatically bill you each month.
You know if you had an 8th grade education you wouldnt make threads like this, youd just use common sense and not panic over nonsense.
Ill probably get a warniing for that last one. meh. |

Maybe if you guys visited the ACTUAL bioware forums instead of trolling on this one all the time you wouldve seen LAST WEEK that bioware, outlined all their maintences for the entire week in a stickied thread.
This maitenence wasnt a surprise for anyone who actually follows the game. |

No macros? ok.. no reactive indicator? really?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/11/11 3:54:11 PM
Originally posted by sanosukex I started gaming before indicators, unlike you, i know how to play my toon perfectly without relying heavily on indicators. You forget that indicator crap is a adaptation of a WoW mod, its not in everquest 1 or 2, its not in final fantasy 11, its not in lineage so most first generation Gamers know how to play without relying on crutches.
Thats the problem with to many UI mods, just like the way using MSN abbriviations fuck up your grammar in the long run, waiting for giant flashing click me buttons make you a weaker player. |

SWTOR PVP - Launching without competitive features is a mistake
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/10/11 9:33:14 PM

I am a hardcore raider/pvper, i personally cant stand pvping against anyone who cant put up a decent fight, i dont even gank low levels, if i get into a warzone and i know for a fact its all pugs i could careless if i own them if im rolling with a full guild group.
But you and i cleraly have a difference sense of pride, and i take no pride in crushing the weak. |

SWTOR PVP - Launching without competitive features is a mistake
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/10/11 11:57:41 AM
Oh so by competitive features you mean only pvp features, i see.
Here i thought their warzones, and badges for killing other players in world pvp as well as an ENTIRE planet dedicated to world pvp was a pvp feature, guess not.
Stop complaining about the single group warzone queueing lets face it, 4 people can run a warzone in this current build, you dont need 8, and 8 premades vs 8 pugs is not fun for all parties involved. you dont need to be able to do it. |

Make a list of every game that has had a lifetime subscription and look at where they are now.
Lifetime subscriptions are a scam, if a company offers it at launch it is a clear sign they have no faith in their game over the long term, they plan on shutting it down or going free to play in a year or two at most.
Lifetime subs usually equal to 2 years worth of subs upfront, which means after the 25th month they start losing large amounts of money just keeping the lifetime subs. If TOR offered a lifetime sub i would cancel my preorder. |

Is TOR really a "next gen" MMO?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/06/11 3:03:16 PM
People who dont see ToR potential do not understand the MMO genre at all. Tor in its current state is much further along then WoW was at launch. It has more features and foundations set then any MMO to be released in the last 4 years. People need to understand that MMOs need to be released in stages, first the foundation of the game has to be perfect, all the expected features should be in place and flawless, which is what Bioware has done, they have a solid foundation laid for them to add WHATEVER nexgen features they want. This time next year, SWTOR will be the one to beat, i will put money on that. |

Are Voice Overs destined to be the new "must have" feature, or just a gimmick?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 12/05/11 11:49:49 AM
It is hilarious, The mmo genre has degraded the need for telling a story so much that people actually believe it is a hinderance when the game actually has one. I assure you all of oyu people who are against story in an MMO, forget that RPG is at the end of that acryonym. And you same people who would rather not have it because it "SLows you down" havent played the game or prefer to grind in game. Ive done situatiations in game, where i have completely talked myself into a fight, out of a fight, talked other parties to fight each other, all netting the same xp, taking the time to enjoy the story doesnt slow you down, it adds. You start to give a shit about what happens in game, which no other MMO can claim to do. But if you are deadset on hating the Voice overs, then, you reserve the right to smash spacebar, use it, you are only depriving yourself. But just like how single player RPG like Skyrim are now 100% voice over, when in the past they used to be 100% text, MMOs will be walking the same road, you think blizzards next MMO wont be 100% voiced? Get used to the cutscenes. |

Originally posted by fenistil So you want to go back to the wall of texts? really? let me answer that for you, it is because you want to go back to fucking ignoring the story. Because lets face it, Books are awesome, audiobooks are better. Quests are awesome, voiced quests are better. |
