According to this link they are at it again, *palmface* don't these fools get it after CO and STO.

I see...uuugghhh...it just irks me to see this happing again. Will they ever learn?

There really has not been any info on how PvP will work and two faction warefare can work but it does take sometime to balance right. I would like to see a system like L2 did where races where free to fight who they wanted at anytime.

We need more info than what is already known to make any opinons viable instead of speculation.

Man that looks so good on a HD tv.

This is one of many changes needed by EVE. From reading the CSM minutes lots of things are gonna change too.

Well only two games i know of that are close to EVE, one being Perpetuum Online and the other Arch Age which i don't know when it comes out.

Lets see where they are in 2 years.

and here endth the lesson.

What the hell were you thinking when you decided to do this, oh and your wife was right with the look.

Glad you found a mmo that challenges you, there are many guides on many of the proffessions that eve offers and you would do well to read some of them to get a clue as to what skills are needed for each of them.

Sorry but you are wrong. Lineage 2 is not full of bots because the game has changed to where there are faster ways to level a toon.

You must be very naive if u think lineage 2 is bot free. And even than l2 radar is still around. And faster leveling so what would be the average speed for my lv 80 Grand Khavatari to hit 81? less than 3 months or is it still more than that.

The only bots i have seen were in the cata's or necrop's, otherwise hardly  noticably seen out in the open areas. They are not advertising because they are more about keeping the player base they have intact.

CT3 will see advertising of L2 as this update will bring major changes and hopefully new vitality to the game. So far i'm still playing it and still having fun.

As for Korea, well since they have F2P as well as the option to buy game time for various game it's not really all F2P.

Social gaming sites like FB, MySpace, etc...are mostly for the very casual gamer with little investment time to play mostly. I don't see it making that big of an impact on the rest of the industry unless they make some great casual game.

I see the subscription base making a big comback this year, but that doest mean the F2P model will faulter either. The free premium model has made itself known and is trying to find it's place to expand in this crowded market.

Granted the name is important but to ensure that you get yours, it's best to choose a name the is not commonly used.

Server hunting should be a priority when playing with friends but alone not so much.

Yes exploring the main city is a must to figure out where the bank, guild house, weapons, armor, and mount or pet shop is.

Guild establishing is really only if you plan on raiding as a group other wise that can wait some.

Most definetly get the hell out of lag central, too many people logging in will cause your enjoyment to lessen.

One's you also forgot to mention is:

1. call in sick.

2. prepare snack and drink for a long day of gaming.

3. disconnect the phone( no need for annunounced visits).

4. be mentaly prepared for the onslaught that eventually comes.

5. Giggle like a little school girl out of your system before actually playing.

Thx a lot for the offer Obscured, it's nice of you. But 5 hours, rly? I don"t feel like downloading 10+ gig for jut 5 hours. Man, they don't wanna sell this game.

Nah the reason is because it cuts down on the number of RMT wharehousing toons.

Will be interesting to see what Sony does to fix this.

Great expectations, but great potential.

This update looks like it will bring me back, it's not a bad game and NCSoft seems to be improving this mmo.

Cryptic made their bed long ago with the release and re-work of CO and the dismal launch of STO. Even though there has been a few changes in the company, they still need to develop a mmo to a quaility finished product instead of  poping out some beta crap.

If they do NeverWinter right then they might get some consideration that would redeem them a bit. Right now Cryptic has a long way to go to redeem themselves.

Many members, but how many of them post?  Again many people read, but few post.  I didn't see a total number of votes cast in this poll.  I still think it's more than generous  to believe that many more than 200 people post here with any regularity.

The point is that even if we say, for the sake of argument, that 32% of the members of this site agree with "none of the above" that vote really says nothing except tell the devs that there are 32% of the people reading this site that just can't be pleased no matter what they put out.  Like I said, I've been as viriulent in my critisims of games this year as anyone else here, but I'm beginning to wonder if that isn't making me one of the people that the Devs simply dismiss as a perenial malcontent.

No one is saying you don't have a right to be disappointed.  The question is how you handle yourself when you're disappointed.  Do you rant and rave and throw things or do you attempt to make the situation better.  The messaage is always clear to the person sending it, but the person receiving it might read it in an entirely different light.  We risk marginalizing our own opinions expressed here as nothing but the wailings of the Ghost of MMO past.

None of that addresses the fact that putting "None of the Above" on this poll changed the nature of the discussion from, "Which of these was the best game put out in 2010" to " Who thinks 2010 was a crappy year for MMO releases?"  I object to that question being stealthed in by the Staff under the guise of Game of the Year.  The poll was not intellectually honest in it's question.  The question the poll really asked should have been asked in a separate poll, open and honestly instead of snuck in so that it can be used as some kind of negative referendum on the state of gaming in 2010.

Everyone has the right to be disappointed.  The issue is if that disappointment will be used constructively or destrutively.  The Staff gave us the rope and we used it destructively and it seems that we're proud of it.

In the final analysis doesn't it bother you that our entire community opinion seems to have been reduced to, "It all sucks!"  That sounds like something you'd read on a  bumper sticker. I've always believed that if a person can view a bumper sticker and agree that it encapsulates their enitre world view then they're not very well thought out and probably not someone who has an opinion worth hearing.  We risk becoming that person if all we ever say is, "That sucks!" and this poll is just the latest and most graphic example of that general tide of opinion that is constantly present on this site.

Not really but it does show that no mmo made such an impact this year that we deemed "Best New Game".

Blizzard even tells you not to enter thru those links from those emails, but go straight to the home site and log in thru there. If your dumb enough to click on those links from those emails then it's your own fault if you get hacked. Same goes for any mmo game you play.

While it's interesting to watch what people do with the Kinetic, the problem still pertains to having enough room to move around to use it properly. Still have to be at least 4 feet from the device to get accurate movement.

Dude have you looked at what Steam has to offer for the PC market? A lot is going for it.

PC games are heading more towards the digital download way than boxed versions.

Besides i don't see PC games losing anytime soon either.
