Man if this keeps up then we all will be saying good bye.

A Korean dev said the stuff in the video is about 85% complete and is working on the dev server.  Now, how that translates to actually being released, I do not know but they seem to be a lot closer than many of us think.

I imagine this content will come in stages; a patch here, a patch there and then a large patch to finish it off but this is just speculation on my part.  There is a good chance a chunk of it will be in a paid expansion as well but who knows?

Never in NCSoft's company history have they ever had a paid expansion to their games..except for GW, all their MMO's have free expansions and will continue to be free. Hell even Ayase has said that the company will not go to paid expansion ever.

Man these QQ'rs are getting more desperite with their posts on Aion failing...

This is all game play content that the devs are working on.

How's it goin?

Still a healthy population on all servers and bots seems to be slowly disappearing.

Expecting many great things to happen in the next two years.

WOW......seems someone is putting to much sugar in their "Special Kool-Aid". I've seen better content in other sandbox or so called sandbox games than Darkfall.

Like what?  Some examples please.

EVE, Ryzom, Mortal Online, Fallen Earth....................

Well you didn't list why these games are better.

Eve I know, and it is a good game.  The space equivalent to darkfall with many years more of updates.

Mortal online currently cannot hold a candle to Darkfall.  Maybe in one or two years time assuming Darkfall does nothing to improve upon itself as well.  It is going to be a good game and a welcome edition to the genre. (I'm a beta Block A player).

Ryzom, no comment since I haven't played it.

Fallen Earth I have heard many good things about it.

It's your opinion that Darkfall is the best on the market, but mine says it's not. Despite what each may say, we love what we play and think what we think.

Here you go, some numbers like WoW fans like. Ofc, they will always refute them in relation to Aion, but gladly accept them in respect to WoW... =P

The market share: www.xfire.com/genre/mmo/massively_multiplayer_online/

The MMOData studies: users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/1m-12m.png

(since Runescape is a browser game XFire cant acknoledge it ofc)

You mean im not suffering from paranoid delusions? So as i suspected, there is a double standard when talking about WOW Vs. any other game?  What is truly amusing is that they defend sub numbers more than any other aspect of the game because if any doubt gets cast upon the sub number shell game then the whole "look how many people love WOW" scenario implodes.

Seems you haven't had any of the "Special Kool-Aid" they passed out. You get a cookie of your choice.

Despite the advatages that consoles have over PC's, with PC games more can be done and added to them than the console version can.

This bit made me laugh from MMOData:

"I estimated Aion Asia numbers on 2,5m as NCSoft does not want to confirm the 3,5m and they do not release subscription numbers anymore in their quarterly reports."

Yea... very reliable. Sorry, but I was talking about official data. NSoft released the sales figure earlier (somewhere around 700 or 800k  or something like that). That is the only official thing we can take for certain. Until the Xfire numbers get stable for Aion, it's too early to use that as an indicator of subs.

For now, EvE remains the second most popular MMO in the Western market. When we get a subs number from Asia (a sub is an account that has been paid and played for in the last 30 days), then we can have a better idea of of where we stand.

Not even Blizzard puts subscription numbers in their quarterly reports anymore and i have looked. Besides NcSoft has confirmed 970K box sales from NA/EU. Even if they lost half that number they would still be the second most popular MMO.

i would say EVE also if were just talking about the west. I'm sure Aion had a pretty good start but its lost a lot of players after the free month was up. I don't think Aion will suffer as bad as WAR and AoC, but I highly doubt it will keep good numbers once TERA comes out.

heh aion still well above anything else in the west my friend. The game itself isn't broken like war and aoc were.

Proof ?

Where are those official paid subscription numbers of Aion in the East ????

Where are those official subscription numbers of Aion world wide??

Nowhere to be seen

And ... even 2 months after the western launch NCsoft doesn't publish any subs numbers in the West. AoC did, War did, WOW did 2 monts after launch ....

As for Xfire .... They SELL the damned thing througn Xfire, so those stats are worthless now.

14NA/18EU servers (not even full) means they are WAY BELOW the Korean number of players (400K on 42 servers)...

NCSoft being quiet on the subject means .... they didn't reach that 2nd place in the west.

Not by a long shot.

Aion fans: PROVE it or shut up the lying .

oh and btw : 300K subs for EVE WAS announced officialy....this year. Just like the 11.5 million of WOW. Official.

So where is that official NCSoft statement of subscribers ?:)))

And WOW doesn't have 10 million subscriptions, big deal. I can still say Aion is the second most popular MMO and you can't dispute it's not.

MMMMMMMMM...QQ tears.....more please.

No matter what you haters or trolls say, Aion is still a viable, fun and healthy MMO population wise that will get better.

OK, you're in denial, bro. But don't worry, it's a perfectly healthy and natural step towards accepting the inevitable.

Hey if you like the "Special Kool-Aid" that's being passed out then drink all you can, cause reality does bite pretty hard.

Go on and say that it has lots of gold spammers and bots, hell the bot population has dwindled some and the gold spam is pretty non existant at this time, few personal shop bots advertising but they get  booted after a few days too.

Spout your lies with these statsistics that most of us know are bull crap anyway, your just making yourselves look more foolish doing it.

You know when you put EVERYONE into "haters, trolls".. you should have just stopped talking there. The game has been out over 1year now and is NOT growing in leaps and bounds. Its getting less and less. And lmao what is this SERVER where bots, gold spam is "pretty non existent"? yes I can find it on the EMPTY servers so yeah lol bots are less and less there.

LOL your doing the SAME thing. Spouting things with no evidence what so ever.  But who cares.. you like the game then PLAY it. People love falling earth, EQ2, Lotro, War, Wow..

Ok seems someone forgot their reading comprehension lessons. As i stated " the bot population has dwindled some and the gold spam is pretty non existent at this time".

Been playing across 4 servers on the NA side and both factions, so i have seen a decrease in the bot population on those four and have seen GM's doing their jobs.

And for those who just criticize the game because its not their thing, hey that's not a hater or troll, the haters and trolls are the ones that keep spouting the same old bull crap over and over.

1. Star Trek Online (Cryptic Studios) - Under 100K subs

2. The Old Republic (Bioware,Lucas Arts) - Will do pretty good

3. Earthrise (Masthead Studios) - Under 100K subs

4. Global Agenda (Hi-Rez Studios) - Mixed but think it will do ok

5. DC Universe (Sony Online Entertainment) - got to be way better than CoH to compete

6. The Agency ( Sony Online Entertainment) - Have no idea

7. JumpGate Evolution (NetDevil Studios) - Moderate success

8. Dust514 (CCP) - Should do very good on the console

9. FFXIV (Square Enix) - I say moderate success

10. TERA (Bluehole Studios) - Can be a success

About time they put that stuff in the game and Mithril Mines should be more interesting than it was back then. Will definetly be checking it out.

How do we know where the new quests are?

There is not any new quests, just more XP added to quests 35+.

Lately i have seen a dent in the bot population on Lumiel, so it does show that they are banning, hopefully they can keep the bots to a minumum.
