LOL.. Perma death?...... no really
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 2/08/07 1:50:28 PM
I know this game hasn't got perma death but it may aswell have. I was playing on my level 6 Warrior, just outside the walls of Kahl, killing some scorpions, as you do, me and my partner died. I said Damn, clicked on "Release" ..... Waited.... Only I cant, and havn't been able to for about 3 hours. I select the character, all is well, click on play, all is well. **Loading screen initiated** Reaches 100% **Loading screen ... "denitiated"?** Whatever, it just wont load. Returns me to my character selection screen. Dont get me wrong now, Vanguard is a gorgeous game, so far. But why oh why do you have to perma kill my character! Anyone come across this glitch before? And PLEASE do not just say "If your only level 6, just reroll" because that is not the point. Im glad this happened at level 6, and not level 7! |

New Spec: How well will it do?
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 2/04/07 11:58:27 AM
Define "Fine" please. I can run it "Fine" now if I put the settings low enough. You mean it will run on everything on full? |

New Spec: How well will it do?
General Discussion « Vanguard: Saga of Heroes 2/04/07 11:51:07 AM
Hello, I am just about to order the new hardware for hopefully, a very nice PC. WIth this spec I am able to just about play on Balanced without tweaking the .ini file. Although walking into buildings and entering new areas can sometimes make my comp freeze for ages, once even timed out! How well will this PC do on Vanguard? What settings should I be able to run it at etc. Is there any minor changes that will benefit me greatly? Please give details. |

Hello my current spec is: AMD Sempron 3000+ (Clocked at 1.7ghz) As you can see your PC is better than mine in every way, in theory, I am able to play this game average of about 18fps on Balanced with no .ini tweaking. My comp can freeze for a few seconds when entering a building though. Your comp should be fine, although I have heared some comps doing alot better than others, when they shouldnt. If you get me Tbh, I have stopped playing Vanguard now. This game is too beautiful, graphically to be wasted on my crap PC. I will continue playing when my new hardware arrives, just so I can see it all for the first time in better graphics. |

Yo. My crappy little comp can just about manage this game. I have actually stopped playing because I want to see it all for the first time with sweet graphics, the way its meant to be. Anyway, I am in the processes of deciding on a new comp. I am on a tight budget, got a few questions, so if anyone with good knowledge of hardware/specs or an active forum that does know, I'd be very greatful. 1) Is it possible to get a mother board that has: 2) After planning out possible specs I have come to these two possible specs, if I am unable to find the above type motherboard. For Vanguard and future gameing what would it be better to have? GeForce 7600GT 256MB OR GeForce 7950 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 As you can see, at the expense of DDR2 ram and a Dual Core processor I can get a pretty nice graphics card, but is it worth it? Please give me your opinions. Thanks

Yeah I gathered that. Mostly from <cough> Its bad karma to say it so ill say it backwards.. WoW.. Shhhh
My only prob with Vanguard so far is it is so damn hard to decide on a class. Infact, its hard to chose a race. I have made 4 different now.... just cant decide |

Hello there. The past few weeks of reading these forums have made me feel quite uneasy to say the least. I was given the impression that Vanguard needed a beast of a computer to be able to make this game worth while, graphically. My mind was set on having to empty out my bank account onto hardware. I even spent the past few days planning out the new specs of my to-be-beast which to be fair, was actually quite fun. Btw, my current spec is: AMD Sempron 3000+ After my pre-order of Vanguard finally arrived TODAY I will now quote myself... "Seriously.. I dont know what the big fuss was about" Anyway. Would just like to say thanks to all the people who made me think my PC would blow up before it finished installing, you got my heart set on a new PC. If I'd originally known it was gona run fine on balanced, I prob wouldn't have bothered. GeForce 7600GT 256MB

Hello. I am to unable to subscribe. Installed fine, pretty fast considering its a 17gig game I tried subscribing via the Station Vanguard website and through the Vanguard interface, both failed. The Station website never loads, (the bar at the bottom of the screen stays at 50%) and the interface loads up a black screen that eventually led to this message: The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later
Btw, I from the EU, if that makes any difference. Good things come to those who wait i guess
