So I was a little confused about the dynamic event system before too, cuz it seemed same event and all a lot in some areas. But later on I did learn they are dynamic, theres NPCs in other places who will run to villages for help, and yell around to get people. Some of the events after ending if you hang around run to a new area and start another event (like a story). Can be up to 3-4 parts from what i've seen, I admit the dynamic system needs to polishing, and more stuff done with it though to truly feel dynamic.

Also reading, I did feel same way with hearts. Hearts/mini quest hub, pretty much same thing, but this does incourage more exploring and you don't have to do heart task all the time.

If Blizzard wanted to keep people away from GW2 they would have released it before GW2. Not a month later. If they believe in their expansion. By releasing it a month after GW2 they probably want to profit from those who try GW2 but don't like it.

WoW players will buy MoP anyway, be there a GW2 or not.

everyone knows blizzard is the slowest company. Look at Diablo3, still no PVP. they had to take it out to make launch dates. and still waiting....

for WoW; just wait till there remaining hardcore community learns that there is no talent speccing, training skills, and other things to make the game completly noob.

Nightmare and normal, you can one shot any non boss mobs with decent items...  Primary bosses are a joke, compared to rare bosses.

Hell is not hard at all, it is all about items, and then you get 4 defensive skills on your num slots and it is a cake walk, unless you encounter some ridiculous arcane ench jailer frozen boss, it is easy. Same goes for inferno as well, if you have decent items it is not hard at all, and items i am talking about cost  of 400k total.

If you are dying a lot in hell mode (you shouldnt die at NM and normal), you are doing something wrong with your builf and items.

This is the real difficulty conversion:

Normal : Beginner

Nightmare : Very Easy

Hell : Easy

Inferno : Medium

This is not me bashing anything, i think that way and all of my friends think of it like this..

lmao inerno is medium to you? I call bs. Unless you provide me with your battle.net and I can check your achievements and gear myself I will not believe that. Even if I did see all of your achievements I still would have a hard time believing its "normal" for you unless I played with you and you destroyed everything.

I've played for countless hours, played with many people. People can barely stand up to hell much less inferno. There is no gear check in inferno because the gear could only get you past, maybe, the first act if you were armed to the teeth.

It is all about planning abilities and using them in combination.

But, basically, proof or I don't believe your claims.

He prob bought gear from auction house before hell and inferno(if), and played solo for stuff is easy. Play 4player on em all. and less buying ur way.

just read from another site, they claim sony online confirmed it will be F2P...

The game is decent as a free to play type game. But it is not an mmo its more of a single player RPG with some chat thrown in. Who is actually willing (Be honest) to pay $15 dollars  a month for a game not worth one penny???

Y hello cheapskate (also successful troll, success).

Also may i refresh you on what a MMO is (and how the term has changed it seems).

Massive multiplayer online. Game has mass numbers, all online, and play on 1 server.

Biggest one I don't understand but is, Is league of legends. Being a RTS, and considered MMO somehow but isn't.

This game, i did quite a lot of testing. It feels no more different then WoW, or any other MMORPG. Your class stories are only thing that is 'only' yours. And unless your anti social, you can get groups/ dungeons/ herioc quest with parties quite easily, and the player market is quite substantial option of any mmo. This game has all elements of your 'typical' mmorpg, and more. So your point is invallid.

Y do people / did pay. For WoW... EvE...Aion....Rift..

This game has better qualities than WoW, Aion, Rift, SOMEWHAT EVE (cuz i like eve... idk about that).

And Y U say? For the same reason all subscription based games are made. TO not have a pay 2 win system.

HMM 15dollars a month. (Skip on wedneys twice. and that extra soda you didn't need. BAM 15dollars).

A. Pays for servers/ support services, and keeps the game going for company fiances seeing future expansive options.

B. keeps game balanced into terms of everyone having to do same things to achieve goal/items.

F2P(P2W).

A. Free gameplay throughout most areas to get u maxed, may have to buy other areas with real cash.

B. things you would have gotten easy and freely with sub based now cost real cash.

C. Bigger wallet, bigger ego.

D. You bought the ending raid set, congrats on no skill, and big wallet. Go own with ur OP un earned E-items.

E. SPAMS OUT FOR SUMMER.. Featuring the artist. Gold bots, scammers.

F. More hackers without consquence as hard.

One of my biggest fears before I got to play SWTOR (and I patiently waited with that until the pre-launch) was whether it would be too easy and not challenging enough and maybe catering for a crowd with less experience in playing mmorpgs.

This was also based on beta impressions from players who complained that the difficulty was turned down as well as the experiences from players at demo's (who played with toned down difficulty settings). Of course most of that was based on weekenders and the starter planet content should naturally be more forgiving than the stuff you'll be doing later on.

Now, at level 33 and playing the content intended for my level, I can confidently say that there is plenty of aspects in which the game is far, far from "easy mode"; I actually just died three times trying to defeat a key npc of my level in my class quest and eventually had to give up and postpone it (I really prefer having no outside help on those).

- Class storylines have key npc's to defeat which can be almost TOO hard for players of the same level. Doable but you need to have everything sorted.

- Some non-heroic quests idem dito.

- Instances as well as heroic quests aren't easy at all after the first one or two: expect to wipe if someone makes an obvious mistake or if your party isn't cooperating well. Two manning + 2 companions is only viable in the first few instances as far as I can tell. (Unless you out-leveled them, of course).

- I've seen multiple huge world bosses which require raids to defeat. (Touch the skull in the Dune Sea and see what happens *chuckles*).

- Each class has a very wide range of skills to its disposal; becoming a master at using them effectively is a challenge on its own accord, especially in pvp.

- Picking the right companion to use, using the right skills and stances and kitting it out properly is another required aspect for much solo content.

- Repair bills get pretty damn expensive. Yesterday I paid 7k to repair my gear, my total bankroll at the time was 100k; the better your gear, the higher the bill.

- The normal solo quest trash mobs aren't so hard, because you'll be pretty much fighting them in groups of 2 to 4 all the time yet there are plenty of elites to fight pretty much everywhere (also outside of elite areas) and those can be a lot harder. Normally I'm ok with soloing a single elite of my level but add another one and I am in trouble.

- Even the blasted space on rails game gets increasingly harder: right now there are a few missions which I simply can't complete due to my ship's upgrades not being up to par.

And I haven't even done hard mode flaspoints & operations yet ...

The above is from my personal experience with a 33 operative. Other classes might have an easier time but  the game really urges me to get the most out of my (and my companion's) skills, gear, buffs and tactics. The game has a habbit of kicking you straight in the groin as soon as you get overly confident. Personally I like it that way and I am relieved it isn't so "easy mode" as I feared and I hope Bioware won't cave in to complaints about the difficulty.

Anyone else similar experiences?

shrug. 35, on my BH in beta started getting a lot harder, specially the flash points.

Also IDK, about operative. but BH was pretty hard. it seemed it was easier to just spam heals on myself, while companion tanked it, I never got to the point after change on beta (not playing atm) but they said they made herioc mobs harder. They incourage groups.

Also for the money, should be selling crafting/scavenging things in market or vendor. etc. *shrug*

Picking the right companion to use, using the right skills and stances and kitting it out properly is another required aspect for much solo content.

Or if you can heal just try spamming heals on your self, while companion dps's it *takes time but worked for BH*, yet you might have to kite around LOS for a lil, since medium armor, and bh has heavy.

Two manning + 2 companions is only viable in the first few instances as far as I can tell. (Unless you out-leveled them, of course).

I think this was more for if you had a party member leave at last boss or so, you have emergency instant replacement. Also don't understatement them, Imperial agent first companion main tank for us the second flash point. (yet i don't think tanking companion would quite work for us after that, maybe a DPS tho)

Class storylines have key npc's to defeat which can be almost TOO hard for players of the same level. Doable but you need to have everything sorted.

If ya got some friends to help, there is a option to allow people to come into your class quest. They can't particpate in any events but can help u defeat people (under options menu, somewhere is option to allow it)

"CE- GETS VIP MEMBERSHIP FREE, if alternative from beta stayed. possible to buy your membership for 1mil credits, Cannot confirm if kept, atm"

Also 1million credits is fairly easy to get.

and as post said above. VIP shop, has multiple vendors, their is a special CE only one up their.

CE- get free VIP room membership, as well as having the CE vendor up their, other's must buy membership, to get up their, and can only access the other VIP vendors.

Sorry, that was 2008. SOE started to sell stuff for real money in P2P games and the rest followed soon.

There are a few exceptions but they are usually small games like Vanguard where the devs havn't bothered to make the items to sell.

But yes, the P2P fee and the box sales should be more than enough, and at least I would be willing to pay a bit more fees to not get that crap. Items in a MMO should be based on luck, skill and time invested, not real world cash.

But sadly, that wont happen. In fact it seems to be getting worse but TOR is just one of the P2P games since this is standard bussiness today.

you do have a point...

Unfortunatly tho, it is happening where there is item shop even p2p. Such as WoW.

Which I think is wrong, its very sly, marketing tactics, which is quite sinister IMO.

making something that takes them less than a week to make, and sell for 10 to 25 dollars.

Ofc the consumer is the one that makes it happen because they want all the things to boast with, if they have the extra money to spare, as some do not.

IMO. Virtual items should only be bought with virtual currency.

No cash shop, CE only gets you access to the vendor.

beta or release version?

nice mount, but we all know the mounts they release in future content patches will be much cooler, no reason to rage over CE capitalism by Bioware

Early beta didn't have at all. later beta did tho. So guessign will be same in release. *shrug* Can't confirm really.

Which is to bad, would be awesome if bioware added something later where you could switch sides. Maybe at max level able to switch sides. Would be more wide diversity and more awesomeness to starwars enviroment. Evil jedi's falling to sith. Sith's changing ways.

Also have bounty hunter, and smuggler able to work for both sides.

And trooper/agent to become outcast freelancers for the other side, and people who will still hire them outside main army of faction..

Wouldn't dat be epic.. (*crosses fingers*) maybe bioware will catch on.

don't worry, I bet bioware will get down on it before release.

Maybe you guys are right. For me as a Jedi, I guess the option is not playing and the reasons behind this option would be a good RP, hopefully.

Go to SWtor.com.

go to guilds.

find guild matching playstyle/liking/etc.

Make friends to play with.

Less QQ.

???

Profit.

how do you guys feel about Huttball? will you take your Jedi Master Sage or lvl 80 Inquisitor to play space football when theyre taking a break from seeing into the future, meditating, and toppling empires?

I was under the impression everyone knew this was a game. Don't like Huttball? Don't play it. Roll your Inquisitor or Consular on a RP server and stay away from it.

Problem solved.

hence y, troll is troll. Hate the people who are like. "DERDERDER This thing, I DONT LIKE IT". STAY AWAY FROM IT THEN. JEEZ.

That's how it works man! And yes it would become legit. Think about it, we have pod racing, pazaak, virtual chess, to the death duel arena's, twie'k night clubs, rancor pits, you name it. Do you think that the entertainment side to SW has to be so NARROW as to have nothing else in the entire galaxy EXIST because it isn't already there?

This is an entire galaxy that the lore is based off of. So when expanding the lore on a sparsely touched on "Nar shadaa", it's appropriate to add to it. If anything, Nar shadaa doesn't have enough lore to be immersive as it is. Bioware is filling in the gaps and brining it to life.

I think you just fear change, and would have preferred a set limit to the lore. Never have anything new added again.

You would be right if it wasn't cross-faction but i bet it will be cross-faction too.

It's not. They already cleared up whole "mixed teams" from the doctors etc.
It can be Emprie vs Republic, Empire vs Empire or Republic vs Republic.

See, Empire vs Republic makes zero sense to me. Maybe i'm wrong, i'm not a lore expert in SW. Guess you will say back then they played.

They kill each other in that game o' ball, there's plenty reasons why any sith or republic soldier would want to kill each other under the guise of a game.

Besides, it's not the same Empire or Republic we're seeing in the movies in there.

Watch this. IMA GOING TO MAKE UP LORE.

You have been captured by the great thug leader. Baller hut. You have been selected to fight in a spectator sport amongst others. To make things more interesting and lessen tension between your teammates, you will be put with your own faction.

It is not a warground, but simply a spectator sport for the underground thugs. Doesn't matter to them who fights who.
