more like say no to servers that can only handle 3-5k people at a time, especially when it's also retarded enough to divide the population into 2 factions that can't talk/group with each other.

when i get the urges to play wow again it's usually wanting to fight the 7 again, or archades, or ubrs.  All the new content is rather forgettable in my opinion.  Every time I think how I'd like to go back to BRD I just think to myself about how I'd have to solo it with a 70 or spend hours looking for a group with level appropriate players that will probably leave halfway through or take 2 minutes in between pulls and then I think to myself, yeah fuck that game.  It'd be neat to have a private server (modified so that CastSpell works in addons again) and just play with some RL friends of mine but that's kind of not legal, plus there's only 4 of us so it's not that fun with 4.

Still can't believe I bought a Joystick with my copy.

I call BS

1) You can't "buy a copy" of EVE.  You can only purchase it online.

2) EVE has never, ever, had joystick support.

i bought eve at Gamestop... in august of 03

However they were not that valuble of t2 bpo's, only ammo bpo's but it was still unfair.

Sabre ammo is the uber

i wish they would have put new abilities in drops (incinerate, victory rush).  Made heroic versions of current 5 mans (with no rep required to enter) to offer a sidegrade of gear to preBC raids (mc-naxx gear) or you could get the quest rewards from hellfire to catch up to preBC raid gear even if you didn't gain any levels from the quests.  Then just add more instances and zones and shit past that.

Outlands you can pretty much leave as is right now.  You could even keep mobs hit points and attack power the same but make them all lvl 63 max to not screw with your chances to hit.  Keep the level cap 60 and people would still do all that stuff for faction rewards.  There would have to be something so that you couldn't get a flying mount the first day, like make a reputation for that or something.  People would probably still hang out there all day long and do pvp and run instances at a minimally different rate.  The only issue I think is determining what people are "too low" for certain dungeons, but don't you do that anyway right now for heroic pickup groups.

I don't know how well that would work, but I got sick of playing my warrior at lvl 64 and the only reason I got my warlock past lvl 65 was cause the retard guild I was in kept pestering me to get to 70.  So I got there and quit like a month after.

The worst thing about stealth is knowing someone is there when you're in an open field and you can't do shit about it.  But i guess it's because the other player has great skill according to this article.

eve does stealth right.

eve's market is way better, you can put stuff up for sale for 3 months.  Lineage 2's little afk store is better than a stupid auction house too.

Really though the only problem I have with the auction house is that 24 hours is the max.  In Eve i'd just make some stuff and put it up for sale for 3 months and forget about it.  I got sick of things not selling in WoW so i just put stuff up for 8 hours, cause deposit is too high for 24, and if it doesn't sell I vendor it, even if it's blue.

Although I think it's kind of lame when games have reasons to afk (like mining in RF online), Lineage 2's afk store is still better than a 24 hour max auction house with a high deposit.

Is your goal doing agent missions in 0.4 or is your goal to mine arkanor?

if you're thinking 0.1-0.4 yeah go for it, you might get ganked, but probably not.

if you're thinking about finding arkanor, do the merlin thing the other guy mentioned.  Don't be afraid to shoot at people, it makes you cooler than if you try to chat with them in local, and you want to be cool don't you?

Even though that is not what I ask, may I ask what you mean by item based, and what's the reason behind your opinion?

As to everyone, my original idea and meaning was Skill: no preset class, Level: preset class.  But I realize that it is not always the case.  So I want to define something more.

For me, I prefer Skill for the freedom it offers, also for the design that it would have a different design which is good for grouping (especially high/low gap).

In Level-based, many game made it so the gap is great between high/low and that you can't really team together to play together.  It makes grouping with friends hard (if you start out a year later than your friend.... you're screwed pretty much.)  I like now CoX has the system of Exemption and Sidekick/Lackey, which encourage group play, but in most fantasy games these system are not there...

Item based, like if there were no levels in WoW and you started at the level cap.  Also throw in crap like instead of learning Immolate Rank 9 you would wear a ring that let you cast immolate rank 9.  Also eve is pretty much item based, it has the time based skill stuff but that doesn't mean much, it's all about the items.

i think it was 2 weekends ago I was in one of the goon fleets fighting bob and it took me like 15 minutes to load the grid.  Might have had something to do with me downloading porn at the same time though, but I don't think so.  Oh well it's way way better than a 5v5 arena with zero death penalty

the "corps trophy room" is just a hangar (or a bag, bank space whatever you want to call it), the corpse itself is an item and you can sell them, trade them, delete them, litter them in space, or maybe something else.  The displaying in your corps trophy room makes it sound like it's just numbers on some leaderboard.

1 - didn't see
2 - lame
3 - lame but with succy/lock action, they did a quest though
4 - holy shit a real bear, an overpowered hunter in pvp
5 - lame, but at least they tried some sword fighting
6 - hella lame

it's like regular porn with fantasy cloths, the acting is still the same, the chick in 5 is like not deviating one bit from regular porn acting.  6 is just a damn orgy with different cloths, it's stupid.

i wish they'd have something like rescueing the princess, but if they did the princess would just be foul mouthed and highly aggressive when giving thanks to the person that rescued her.  that's probably not the impressions you get of a princess when you read a book.  Like lets say in braveheart, if the french girl started screaming, give it to me harder, kind of not cool yeah?

One thing that's nice in EVE community is no one really cares how many skill points you have, it's not like in WoW where somebody with a lvl 70 thinks he's smarter than you just cause you're a lower level, the eve community doesn't have that mindset, well most of them don't.

i have 12,756,235 skill points in spaceship command, but I only use 3,162,510 of them if i'm flying a vagabond.  The max skillpoints you could use while flying a vagabond is somewhere in between 15-25 million.  So if you only fly a vagabond, that's your level cap.  Also the differences between level 4 and level 5 on skills like Medium Autocannon specialization is pretty minimal in relation to the number of skill points used.

You can pvp from day 1, even if you can't tackle yet you can draw fire for a couple seconds or do a couple extra damage to somebody, it's not liek you're limited to 40 people in a gang or you'll aggro more npcs being a noob or have the enemy resist all your laser beams.  There is no downside to you tagging along, but it might be a while before you're considered not expendable.
