First off at the time this game was about to be released it was already Gold (500,000 units) just off of Pre-Orders. That was a first for me cause i heard very little from MMOs and it put the MMO world on my map to me cause I really didn't care for it before. Really World of Warcraft is in that magical category with Halo and GTA. These games will ruin relationships and lives mainly because they will utterly rip the social life out of the gamer playing these games. Anyways I predict that WoW will be long and gone by the early 2020s |

If people really want change then Obama is the path of choice. If you don't want a continuation of the last couple presidential terms then why put another Clinton in the White House or McCain that will continue Bush's will. |

Why are there not more skill based games?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/10/08 12:10:23 AM
hah yeah reminds me of Dungeon Siege. your class was depicted by the skills/skill category you would go through. not really much variety like other skill based games, but it get boring quick. having to strive to be the best in a class or a type within a class gives more to competition and we humans like that. |

Sessler's Soapbox: Grand Theft Logic -Must Watch!-
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 5/06/08 12:53:13 PM
This topic has been beaten for beyond death at this point. why not talk about another more interesting and important social issue like Gay Marriage or Drugs. Look the media has little to no influences on a person that hasn't already had an issue to be dealt with prior to the exposure of media. Problematic people are developed since birth long before they see a televised program, before they listen to music, and before they play a video game. |

Possible solution to gas prices and commuter traffic?
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 5/01/08 2:30:00 AM
there is no real solution other than the obvious fact that we should've replaced the major use of gas in vehicles and some other devices. reality is, is that gas is limited and and harmful, so it shouldn't be relied on and we're starting to see some of the problems now even though problems with gas has been occuring for over 20 years. |

its really simple. the idea of god is based on belief systems. if you're a person that is in the mind set of spirituality and the authority of your spiritual belief is God then you are either a believer or an agnostic which i believe is a cop out. now if you're in the mind set that doesn't lend itself to all the established spiritual belief systems or any personal beliefs then he simply doesn't exist. why is it that simple? cause there isn't any hard proof that either proves or disprove the existance of god. even though the position, discription and view of god has changed over the many, many, many centuries. |

If SWG is so bad NOW, what made it so good in the past?
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 5/01/08 2:11:10 AM
i never seen SWG as a good MMO in the first place. since the dev. stages and the release of certain info on the game i knew that it could live up to the hype. and here we are, talking about a game that was dead from the beginning. |

developers have been thinking outside the box and in return they got nothing but trashed. cant expect developers to waste their efforts on failed projects when they can invest in something that will. |

STO (Star Trek Online) Finally Removed
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/29/08 9:11:54 PM
just like SWG i dont think the technology is there for a proper polished Star Trek or Star Wars MMO. maybe in the 2010 decade, but right now. i can only farsee an epic fail. |

yeah like everyone said before GTA as a whole basically harbors the elements of a MMO. all that would need to be added is a leveling system, the internet for the mmo and instances maybe. it would be something for the ESRB to rant about yet again... |

Anything, but FlyFF. FlyFF has almost no RP going on in the game and rightfully so since there isn't that strong of a story to back the game. FARM & AFK SHOPS FTW. The game is strongly about the $$$ i would say that less than 10% of the players RP, but again it's how the environment of the game is=. |

well there's a hell lot more female gamers since the turn of the century i've noticed as well as the acceptance of female gamers. i hope the #s continue to increase in the 2010 decade. |

Are MMOs becoming massively singleplayer?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/16/08 7:28:34 PM
the idea is to cater to everyone. people that either want to play socially or people that want to solo. though it's not easy to solo in WoW when you hit end-game and you want all the nice gear. |

Is Runecape all that bad? (please don't just dismiss this topic read first.)
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/13/08 9:56:44 PM
Originally posted by darkgamerx hah not if you know the many people i know. aside from getting high, they're past time hobby is bashing the game. ofcourse being the logic people that we are... lol we've all played it and yeah there are some interesting aspects to the game, but it is to harsh on many other aspects aside from the obvious. i would say that its 2008 and as the days past the game in my opinion becomes that much more dated. i may not speak for the people that enjoy the game, but for me and the people that dont. i find it to be one of the worst games i've ever played. from when it came til now. |

make a final fantasy 7 mmo already
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/13/08 4:50:39 PM
Originally posted by ASmith84 of there were to make an mmo based on previous FF Universes they would have to colaberate with the ones that a simular in genre. for example FFVII + FFX mmo cause they're both post apocolyptic/steam punk. either way i think that FFXI is an example of a mediocre MMO from SquareEnix. iunno i say they should give the MMO thing another go in the 2k10 decade. by that time. |

Is the term "Sandbox" losing its meaning?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 4/08/08 4:50:19 PM
the Sandbox term didn't lose it's meaning at all. It's the various game types that are considered a Sandbox game that would be applicable to the term Sandbox and another genre/type therefore causing issues to elitist of any direct discipline of gaming genre. You got console game sandbox games like the G.T.A series, Assassin's Creed or any G.T.A styled game (Saint Rows). Then pretty much all MMORPGs are sandbox games. I would say that the Jaks series was a fairly Sandbox-Platform game. The whole sandbox term was born out of the idea of a game being free-roaming, non-linear gameplay style. for MMORPGs they have the never-ending gameplay value, through expansions and other functions. |

honestly if it's a browser based game then it's better off as a Facebook app. |
