I'm R2 sometime D2

but can be C3 or PO

woot ?

no offence but those fonts are a bit anoying to read. like someone just flashed a light at my face.

yea keyboard for me even though I dont play anymore, its so much better imo, you rarely use the mouse, most targeting is done with tab , enter, and F keys, when you get used to it. its much better then -wasd- for that type of game.

controller is ok but keyboard is better.

I was told by some reliable sources that the game will launch on the 1st of april.

you might want to disable anti aliasing then. or set it to x4. thats your problem, your pc is fine

need a drink AFK

triple cos cos happy new years mmorpg.com!

double post cos its fucvking 2009 and im fucking drunk buhahahahahahah1!!!

no more casual sex with models for a year !

I can imagine what peoples are going to use that for....... CYBER SEX!!!!

all warrior guild :

heal me!!!111

bandage on cooldown lol!

those "class" only guild might be fun for a while, but that not something you want to do with your main.

I'm not playing any mmo right now because of darkfall, even though I'm still a bit sceptic, if its not coming oh well, I probably wait for Aion or play AoC, or see how chronicles of spellborn do at us/uk release.

yea yea ok ps3 fanboy, thats just numbers, actually the cpu on the ps3 is much better then the 360 but hardly any developer use the full power of it because it is to expensive, only a few games but that will change in the future, and second 360 gfx is more powerful then the ps3, and games are easier to develop on the 360.

I own both so I dont give a crap wich one is best, I like them both, but I generaly buy my game on the 360 if I have the choice mostly because I have more friends who own a 360 then a ps3 and online is so much better and easier to get into a game, you cant even send a message to your friend on the ps3 while playing a game...

if it wasnt for that I would go for the ps3 because of hdmi (yea I know now its got it,but mine hasnt) + it doesnt sound like a hoover when I play a disk. And what I like about ps3, its much sexier, the 360 feel like cheap plastic, and that freaking huge power supply.

www.hardcoreware.net/playstation-3-vs-xbox-360-one-year-later/

and thats a proper review of a developer who work on all 3 consoles, not some ps3 fanboy posting crap on youtube, you should read it

if elvan make good rdm then taru are fucking awesome

yea no offence but thats a bad article.

if you read the manual they tell you redmage use sword and elvaan are the best with sword, so what the fuck i did? yea I rolled a elvan red mage... not the best choice.

thats what this post remind me about.

you can install some distributions of linux like ubuntu, yellow dog on the ps3 but I dont know why we're talking about ps3 when this thread is about ea and steam.

oh and linux is for nerds. the basic of it is very easy to use but some hardware still have driver problem and some people arent pc geek and wont even know how to use a terminal, windows is double click, install, ok, job done, sorted! well, most of the times anyway

I do have linux mint on my pc as dual boot but I only use it to play around. I wish you could play real games on it though, i would surely stop using windows then.

and back to steam I dont mind paying a few extra £ for a game, I can download it whenever I want and it pretty fast to, no need to use a cd and you can play offline to

edit: and I dont think player prefere ps3 lol, I've got both and I can tell you I have got more real life friends who own a 360 then a ps3

-star wars: knight of the old republic is very good too

-Morrowind

-dreamfall: the longest journey (It work on my netbook, 1.6 atom cpu, 2 gig or ram, intel 950 gma), morrowind also work but it lags a little outside ,inside is ok, dont know about star wars.

or get yourself a 1 terabyte external HDD, load it with porn and bring lots of tissues.............. and maybe a  bucket.

I love steam

and I just checked, most games are the same price as game.co.uk, or higher of a few £

orange box at game: RRP 49.99

                                      Now £39.99

steam : £16.99

even call of duty 4 that used to be £40 on steam is now the same price as game.co.uk , £29.99

(yes I know some place might be cheaper but game is the most well known online and highstreet retailer)

It’s official. Game publishing giant Electronic Arts today formally joined Valve's Steam service, as speculated earlier this week following the sudden appearance of the Spore end-user license agreement on the platform. Five titles are available now for purchase via Steam, including Mass Effect, Need for Speed Undercover, Spore, FIFA Manager 09 and Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, plus the Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack.

The games are apparently available without the controversial SecuROM DRM they initially shipped with. This is truly a testament to the popularity of Steam and a big win for Valve, considering EA traditionally has digitally distributed their internally-developed PC games only though its own EA Store and Steam competitors like Direct2Drive. Other recent EA releases expected to join the Steam lineup “in the coming weeks” include Dead Space, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 and Mirror’s Edge.

thats even better, so I dont know whats wrong with you peoples

WoW: Got lich king when it came out then my sub ran out, got a 74 druid but not too sure about this once, all my friends play is about hte only reason to play it.

Warhammer Online: Had this for a while, quit after my free month for the fact my sub ran out. Gobbo shaman!

Star Wars Galexies: Haven't ever played this but heard it has a great community and good gameplay.

Rather not flip a coin on this one, but would like to ask you guys which one has improved since about a month ago (Haven't played a P2P in a month, driving me nuts)

Also Warhammer from what i hear(stopped playing after beta) isn't doing to hot on many of their servers and i dont see their server transfers/merges up yet.

Mythic is currently doing free transfers off the 22 lowest population servers onto 8 medium population servers.

Mythic recognised the problem almost immediatly and worked towards a solution within a couple of weeks, completly the oposite to funcom who 4 or 5 months after the problem started are still talking about it and for the first 3 months they hid the problem and locked or moved population/server merge topics.

Mythic are also giving people moved 20% extra renown and experience for a few days to make up for the inconvience.

Other than the shocking way they handled the dupe funcoms attitude to population problems has been their biggest mistake since launch and will have cost them 10's of thousands + of subscriptions.

If you don't count lack of anti-ganking system for the first 160+ days which probably wiped the first 300,000-400,000 subscribers off the books. The lack of server merges or character transfers, the lack of any favorable option for the majority of players has given them 2 real choices. Re-roll on another server, which about 1 in 3 were willing to do in my guild when it became obvious our server was dying or quit the game, which is what the overwhelming majority of players were doing and probably still are doing.

I'm sorry to say it but AOC is dead if they dont merge servers by X-mas. Great patch, I hear a lot of players are unhappy with combat changes, and the 2nd half of the PVP system, a system which has been in concept for years, development for months, testing for extended weeks, is rampantly being exploited by players attacking those just under 80 without fear of retaliation and with the support of Funcom's own Royal NPC Guard.

Nobody saw that screw up coming right? Uh huh.

The fundamental problem funcom has, is they don't listen to their customers, they don't intrepret what they are saying correctly, they also don't prioritize their customer needs because they don't actively search out or implement the value adding, product improvement, suggestions made by their customers. Until that changes, the game will continue to decline and be a hard sell.

{ Mod Edit }

This is the most confusing thing I have read in a while. Let me just reassure you that other developers are as bad if not worse. I.e. I was trying to play WAR sometime back, but I was unable to run it due to bugs and performance issues. I posted and posted hoping to get help with my game, but I would not get anything else but fanbois telling me to shut my lies up. Look, where WAR is today. It is down the drain and already merging 22 servers out of operation. Do you think it's because they are so fantastic listeners. Hardly.. Keep things in perspective. And yes, I have seen suggestions from people ingame in AoC being implemented and complains being taken into consideration. FC is not a saint but this image you are projecting of just another developer is just completely off the charts.

What "bugs and performance issues" are you talking about? I don't really care for WAR, but it was definitly more than playable on the day of release. Minor bugs aside, I have yet to find a serious bug that even crashes the game. Sounds like your issues are your own. As far as the rest of your jibberish, if you still feel that Funcom is such a great company that listens to its customers then good for you. Hundreds of thousands of ex-subscribers, however, have a different opinion than the one through your rose-colored glasses. Funcom has made a point to turn a deaf ear to its customers and has proven that they don't care what players have to say. Take for instance the "(less than) Great PVP Patch". From day one that Funcom announced it was going to penalize open PVP'ers players voiced a concern, over and over, that the system could be abused. Guess what? Funcom released a system full of exploits anyway, and people are exploiting the system.

OMG.. "less than great PvP patch". What are you talking about. When introducing a consequence system, you know it is working when people bitch. It would obviously not be much of a patch if the consequences did not really kick in for the population not addherring to the social rules in the game. I am sure there are thousands of people readapting their playstyle in AoC right now due to the new consequences and that does not happen in silence if that's what you imagine. Patch 3.0 was great for people that just really want to PvP without a guy 40 lvl higher picking on you. (read jedijefs review for more info on how annoying that can be). I like patch 3.0. as do these guys

forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php

forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php

When it comes to my word about FC, I think it was very clear that I said FC is no saint, BUT look at them in perspective to other devs. They are not that bad. Finally, I have WAR on my shelf, but I had to resub because my PC is alergic to that code. FPS is disasterous (at least was when I quit), lag making AoC look like a smooth crisp winterbreeze. Also the last day of my sub I also had a crash to desktop..nice.. Why are you trying to pass of this game as a launch success.... Anyway, this is no pissing match but read up a bit. WAR is certainly not as bugfree or performing as well as you seem to think.

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=171811

You can see on the official feed back thread for patch 3.0 that the majority dislike the patch. I am glad you like it, however please accept the fact that many did not. Not only that but it came with several issue's that made PvP bad in many peoples eye's. In many forum posters eyes and in particulat thread starters.

Not trying to change your mind on AoC, just trying to keep things a bit realistic. You liked it, this makes it great for YOU. The Majority did not (Now, where the hell did you get that information from, referance please ) I think most people trying to level lowlevel characters on all PvP servers would not agree with you, this makes it bad for them.

Some of the issue's were fixed with a hotfix patch so not as bad as it was but now Many are outraged that FC isn't doing anything about the Murder points recieved that many of the players should not have recieved (referance to the proof for this statement, we have both read the claim, but you can hardly proove that somebody have cheated even though they got to level 5 quicker than yourself. FC know who that has cheated or not. If they did not ban anyone, nobody cheated as fare as I am concerned. Also how do you know they are noot investigating this... Hmm perhaps you don't, perhaps you just pretend that you know so that your speach would line better up with your agenda) as well as them refusing to roll back the PvP Xp many recieved by using the exploit the hotfix fixed.

People that are complaining about becoming murders are complaining because....

1) Lowbie's are intentionaly attacking higher levels in an attempt to get them to fight back which gives the higher level a criminal/murder point. You got it wrong. Any lowbie attacking a high level character gets flagged as a free to kill. It is impossible to do what you describe

2) Lowbies are intentionaly running up and jumping into AoE's and such to get others flagged as criminals and give them murder points. This is a possibility, if it happens I am not sure. Some people mean FC should implement some code to make sure this never happens, while others means this is more just a very hypothetical situation which there is not benefit in having low level people to do. It is a full time job having low level people running around till the point that somebody actually would change status. Also are you aware of that criminal status wear off in just a matter of minutes? Look many off these scenarios are put together by people that are against the murder system as they now have to face the consequences of their gamestyle. Some of the scenarios are of a concern while others are not. You mentioned one scenario that in my and most other peoples opinion is not.

3) App'd lowbies gave murder points even though the higher level player only saw there app'd level. If they show as 79 but were realy 69 and a level 80 killed them the level 80 would get a murder point. As you said this was hotfixed, with some other issues.

Again I am not trying to change your mind, but you aren't being overly truthful (which I also think I have proven that you not are). If you are merely stating what you posted as your opinion fine (No I posted it as a reference to all the BS non AoC players keep tossing about. Look, it puts you in a very bad light when you try to pass of random stuff posted by other posters as a  fact. You can't test it and hence you have no way to even test those statements). just because they read something , just don't try and say others are not credible when they disagree. Sad thing is many of the problems that came with this pacth FC was warned about from those on test and from people that just looked at what they were planning on doing and could see it happening without ever trying it lol .lol lol lol says the person that have not played AoC after patch 3.0 and therefore is just entirely guessing on what the posts in AoC forum really is about.

First let me correct some of information you above seem to think is a dramatic find. My corrections are just minor but in my opinion very important. If this is just obvious to me, since I play the game and you not, then I appologize. My writing is in green above. Out of fear that you again will miss my main point like in the post above I paste the essence of my previous post in capitol letters:

A CONSEQUENCE SYSTEM CAN NOT BE INTRODUCED WITHOUT COMPLAINS AS THE SYSTEM OBVIOUSLY INTRODUCE CONSEQUENCES TO A CERTAIN TYPE OF ACTIONS THAT A CERTAIN TYPE OF GAMERS LIKE TO DO. BY DEFINITION A CONSEQUENCE SYSTEM INTRODUCE CONSEQUENCES FOR SOMEONE (IF IT IS WORKING THAT IS).

If you are a lowlevel ganker you will show up in the forum to bitch be sure. You will bitch about anything from why you are unhappy and want to quit to why you think this system is bad <insert any of the really creative scenarios you can think of here>.

If you are a lowlevel ganker you will show up in the forum to bitch be sure. You will bitch about anything from why you are unhappy and want to quit to why you think this system is bad <insert any of the really creative scenarios you can think of here>.

The above was very entertaining lol thank you. As far as creative scenarios, I hate to inform you but those creative scenarios are going on in the game. FC was also warned about those creative Scenarios.

Oh people are continually talking about, what if scenarios. You say it is going on. Well, you still owe me fact on that. Facts would be something more than John Doe saying "Gee a person with level 5 equipment run past me, I have never seen him play before"

I am sorry that I proved Info that showed the majority of the AoC community was against the 3.0 patch. You are one of the few that seems to like it.

Again I ask you, where is your MAJORITY statement coming from. Reference again (this is second time I ask you I belive).

As far as low level gankers showing up to complain lol the complaints are about low level players doing a reverse gank on high level players lol. So I think you should read before responding lol.

You must explain me this again. A lowlevel player can not hit a highlevel player without getting flagged as free to kill. Please Explain (also second time I ask). The only thing you really can mean here is the App/mentor bug that was hotfixed, but besides that your post does not make any sense. lol

Explain how lowlevel players can grief a high level player without getting flagged as free kill.

Anyways they do not have to believe me or you. They can check the links you provided and the can check the official feedback thread for the 3.0 patch from the link I provided. They can use those to make up there mind if there having trouble deciding if the patch was good or not. Funny thing is though most already decided the patch was not good lol.

Most People decided the patch was not good.  lol. OK, here we go again you still did not forward that pice of information. Where can you see that documented.

The BS I posted was the feedback from the official feedback thread so..... I guess I was being pretty truthful lol. Next time check the link I provide. The majority on the AoC forums, replying in the official feedback thread of the patch you calim is so great, do not seem to like it. LOL, don't get mad at me man.

lol. the thread I provide discuss mainly combat mechanics. Read it next time lol

You asked where I got my info from fine. Test Live feedback that was ignored and from the official Feedback thread stickied on the general forums page. Follow the link I provided and read all the posts lol. The MAJORITY did not like the patch. Sorry man lol I don't simply make stuff up like you tried to. And those hypothetical situations are going on and FC was warned about them way before this patch went live. lol good luck man I hope you continue enjoying the game but lol you can't counter facts with your opinion. You like it great ^^ most didn't just accept it and move on lol. If your worried about people complaining about the patch you should clean up the official forums first since thats where many people are getting the "BS" from , well you call it BS most call it commen sense and facts.

Where is you majority stuff coming from. You seriously have no clue if you look to number of threads made by John Doe about why they don't like consequences. I in fact take it as very positive sign, that we posts like " Damn it that lowlevel pice of shit is hiding behind the guards and now shoot me with his bow. I can't do anything." . You read: Uhhh... the majority does not like unf unf  (which is kind of weird because I thought you played the game lol lol lol). I read: A ganker close to rezz pad is looking for a hole in the system but nope, there is no way around it.

Again you need to clean up your majority talk. Where is this coming from referance please.  lol

This time please try and reply with text thats remotely related to my text as well as you should try to not use the word majority if you don't have backing to use it.

This time try to read my post.

Ok the reference of Majority. The Majority (Majority meaning most) of those that replied in the official comment thread on the official AoC forums about patch 3.0 did not like the patch for one reason or another. The majority of the replies had a problem with it in some form or another. Here's the thread again since you seem to deny it exists. http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=171811

Now again the majority of those that replied did not seem to like the 3.0 patch that you are raving about. The majority meaning Most of the replies. If you need me to break it down further just let me know.

Now for example's of how a lowbie can gank a higher level, Well it is simple realy lol the same way I and others have repeatedly said before the patch ever came out, it's the same way they are doing it now.

Lowbie's were jumping into AoE's flagging the higher lvl as a criminal making them a free target for any. Groups of lowbies were griefing some players 8-10 levels about them. Not sure if the hotfix corrected it or not but a couple of level 70's attack a level 80, if the level 80 fights back HE would get the criminal count not the level 70. That sound like it's working as intended to you? The problem with your whole what if statements is that it is not a what if, it IS going on or atleast was, again I am unsure if the hotfix corrected this issue or not.

All people are doing is exploiting this patch just like FC was warned players would. Players have been reverse ganking just as FC was warned they would. Then to top it all off they messed up a few other things that made no sense lol. Sorry man, People are upset with this patch. You can claim people on this forums can't talk because we don't play fine, then just take it as I am repeating what is being said on the official forums. If you don't believe me look for yourself. I provided the link to the Official Feedback thread which has far many more players saying the patch was bad for w/e reason than people saying thank you and praising them like you did.

Next time read my post and check the link. I am not one that will randomly bash with out rhyme nor reason nor am I ever a blind Fanboi. I am looking forward to DarkFall, I am a fan but guess what... I don't turn a blind eye to it's flaws. Why don't you try being a bit more objective in your posts and quit telling people they are wrong when even those on the official forums are saying the same thing.

Take it easy though was fun seeing you get all worked up lol.

hey whats up guys ?
