It should be noted that this company removes ALL critical posts from their forum and calls it trolling. If you doubt the legitimacy of my claim, look at their reviews and then their forum. For a game with almost all negative reviews, there are no critical posts in the forum at all. Do not trust any company who partakes in false advertising and critical censorship. I witnessed three relatively cordial posts with three problems in the game listed along with suggestions for dealing with them. They were all removed and their composers were banned. I was suspicious but hadn't reached a conclusion yet, although my opinion of the game which I own was mostly poor.

You should do your own due diligence before choosing to back this developer or any other. Trust the reviews, not the forums. They can't moderate the reviews.

According to Steam, which I admit isn't infallible, the peak for the last 24 hours was 53 players. In the last 30 days It rarely broke 100 even on weekends. Another month of this and I am afraid it's time to call it.

It's sad but these people just do not know how to manage development or operations even though they are great at game design. They let ego get in the way and prevented them from hiring the right people to handle the business. Too many game companies let developers run the business instead of people with the appropriate education and experience in running companies. For some reason people often think that it's different because it's a entertainment product, but you wouldn't think that a fan of cars would be well suited to take over operations of Ford or Mercedes in place of qualified and experienced auto executives.

If you had watched this you wouldn't call it antiquated. Also, I believe they have 25 developers working on this. Not some small team creating a "high school homework project". I know what you are referring too, but I think this one is not an example of what you are talking about. 2 mins on their page showed me that this is a real project and it's already playable.
wait wait wait.......they reward the loyalty of  those who bought it recently with 1050 SC coins but if you were really loyal and bought it when it came out you get a title and no coins? Am I reading this right? Either myself or the person at SWTOR who did this is retarded and I think it's me, because I actually expected better than this.

It is amazing how many people have strong opinions on the topic but haven't actually been looking into the issues. I see a lot of people citing really outdated material and some outright false information. This isn't the place to go into all of the details.

On the topic at hand, I will be getting both, but Xbox One first t launch and the PS4 in the spring or summer. Both systems are actually very similar and it comes down to game preferences. Typically, though not always, fans who prefer Final Fantasy and Japanese culture games tend to have a preference for the PS devices while those into Western culture, sports and shooters are typically more attracted to the Xbox. Of course there are exceptions, but these generalities hold up pretty well amongst the large gamer population.

I bought it before launch and have played about 55 hours. I like it, but I only play it about twice a month for an hour. I am happy to have purchased it for that. Either tomorrow or Monday Steam will be having it's last big day of the sale and TSW will be $15 again for a day. I would buy it for that. Honestly, I would buy ANY B2P MMORPG for that price, not to mention this one is so different from the rest.

I won't go any deeper than that. If you need someone to walk you through why you should buy the game you kind of like then you shouldn't buy it. You know if you want it or not. Good luck, have fun.

Guess that answers my question, guess the EU get stiffed again : c

People almost always get around this by entering a US address. Want to be extra cheeky? Here is Amazon's address:

1200 12th Ave. South, Ste. 1200
Seattle, WA 98144-2734

It has already been posted but let's talk about it anyway. It's not a true MMOPRG, but it has RPG like skills and advancement. It's currently more like you and your 3 friends have your own version of the world but when you reach certain points of gameplay, like extracting from a mission area, other player groups in the area have a chance to engage in combat with you. This is how the game plays currently, as a console alpha. The game has probably 6 months until it get's gold certified for consoles and likely a year from now to port it to PC, due to architecture differences with the console and PC.

People will argue that last sentence with me but it has been well established by almost every developer so far that this 8 core cpu and graphics card layout has to be coded in a completely different manner than pc or last gen consoles. The good news is that the game will have plenty of time to fix problems found in the console gameplay before moving to pc.

This thread is indicative of internet society. Being reasonable, logical and even keeled is not as much fun as being a die hard fan or riding on the hate-wagon. Xbox One won't be perfect, even though we still know very little about it due to poor marketing/pr and the fact that it's 5 months from launch. It is also not as bad as the exaggerations are making it appear to be. Simply, there isn't enough information to even form an educated opinion at this point. The fact that people on both sides will argue the simple statements that I just made........

I would say Terraria, even though you have already played it to death probably. Also, Project Zomboid. Dwarf Fortress. X3 could eat up your entire deployment. Distant Worlds(buy all the expansions with it, expensive but worth it) or Stardrive for the strategy side of things.

Also, bring something that you can mod/create content for like Neverwinter Nights, because, from my experience, you will get pretty creative while deployed and want an outlet. Further, get some friends to get the same game so you can share content.  Just don't get anything too internet reliant, because on the major FOB you can get internet, you never know when you will be moved to an outpost.

Good luck and keep your head low.

Every electronics manufacturer does this. iPhones, Nintendo, hot new 3d TV, pretty much anything that will be in demand. They do it to create a sense of urgency so they can sell the most units at full price. If there are unlimmited units available, many people will wait for a sale, but if there is a chance that they will sell out for a month or two, people will rush to secure theirs.

Nobody seems to understand, all of the companies have the same strategies.

Also, he's not a shill. The pre-orders are selling out. Just like the Wii did. Just like they all do. Not everyone lets internet forums do their thinking for them. A lot of the information that keeps getting repeated is false, but it serves the haters to keep repeating it and others are just too lazy.  old but true

I like how when people don't agree its because they are babies, or letting the internet "make up their mind".

How about no, after the NSA disclosure on PRISM, the Patriot Act, NDAA, SOPA, CISPA, and all the other bull our government is trying to use to spy on us we are tired of it, and the only ones dumb enough to keep letting it happen are those people who continue to support companies who push the draconian and totalitarian systems on us.  But please!  Keep on fooling yourself into thinking you are more "enlightened" because you refuse to understand people in America standing up for what is right and standing against what is wrong is kinda our "moral compass".  If you don't like that moral compass thats fine, but don't try to belittle others because of it.  Just shows your true age of 12.

Your comments are all over the place. How does PRISM or CISPA have anything to do with anti-piracy drm? I never referred to myself as being enlightened nor did I even refer to morals. In fact, not to be rude, but I should point out that you don't seem to understand how to use moral compass in a sentence. Furthermore, I am American, believe in standing up for both citizen and consumer rights. I never attempted to belittle anyone, however you have tried to insult me several times in your post.

I never called people babies or stated that they should agree. In fact all I have asked is for people to be well reasoned and think for themselves. I also implored people to do some research instead of just repeating rumors. I'm sorry if I somehow offended you.

If people think for one second that Xbox One is not going to sell well then something is wrong with them. Microsoft will continue to lead the way in evolving the console like they have done for the last 10 years.

How have the led the way for the past 10 years? PS3 and Wii both outsold the Xbox 360 lol...  Sure, Microsoft started off strong early on but with the Wii's price it beat it beat 360 sales without even trying. The PS3 took a bit longer to over take the 360 but by having a better library of games, a more gamer view on policies, and by having better hardware (Just like this time around) they even over took Xbox 360 in sales.

Sorry, Xbox 360 came in dead last with the last generation of consoles. By being the most expensive of all the systems, still having inferior hardware compared to the PS4, having most of it's exclusives on PC, and having yet even worse policies it looks like they are looking to hit dead last a great deal faster this generation lol.

I don't know where you got your numbers from, but Wii sold more than 80 million units, making it the top seller, while the Xbox 360 sold 77.5 million making it number 2 and PS3 is estimated to have now sold 77 million making it almost tied for 2nd place. It is gaining ground.

Also, right now, pre-orders for the Xbox One are exceeding those for Ps4 by about 2.5%. The console "war" will continue to remain neck and neck over the long haul. I am terrified by the lack of mental faculties of anyone who can't objectively reason that.

These sales numbers are public domain and there is little discrepancy between sources. It may seem like everyone is bashing the Xbox but that is just your echo chamber on your computer gaming websites. It is not indicative of the over all climate.

No one said other companies didn't do it. The fact that others do doesn't make his conclusion about "Gamestop selling out" any less invalid as an assessment of the number of people that like or dislike DRM. However, feel free to continue tossing around the insults rather than actually reading.

Please re-read what I wrote. There are no intended insults in there.

Choosing to put it on console was an odd decision. Choosing to put it on just one of the two consoles, and the one with less units sold was just plain baffling.

I agree with you on all points. I will also be getting both consoles. Like you I am an older gamer(36) and the multimedia device appeals to me and makes for an easier sell for my wife.  Furthermore, many of the upsetting info about the Xbox One has been corrected or addressed since the initial(very poor) announcement. I suspect they will bend their policies a bit as we get closed to launch, but I am ok with most of them if not. Some of the negatives are looking to be positives as the details get worked out too.

BTW- The first aftermarket company to make a blindfold/muffler for the connect will be rich! Paranoia runs strong here in America.

Your point is valid. Especially since you think you know what all the other consumers want too. M$ will do just fine. As will P$4. They both botch stuff left and right and gamers always buy it all anyway.

Yes I''m fine with it. Just like I am fine with the Xbox live one. I will have both just like I did with this last generation. However, 90% of my online purchases have been on xbox because their store is much easier to navigate and the content featured there is great. Like another person said, maybe by charging for it they can make it a useful service.

I'll be buying both so I don't care. However, it's almost like this site's readers can't apply even a little bit of reason or effort into research. Yup PS4 is $100 cheaper. It doesn't come with the ps4eye camera, unlike the xbox that comes with the connect. Also, the kinnect camera has a lot more capability and a huge headstart in applications. The hardware of both devices is almost identical but with PS4 having a slight edge in the ddr4 ram instead of xbox using ddr3. Then look at the game launch titles and the advantage goes back to Microsoft again for most, but not all people. Further you have the operating system. Even if you don't think you will use it right now, the television feature on the xbox is a pretty cool utility that many people will eventually enjoy using.

Now on to the "DRM" issue so many love to keep spouting. Microsoft has clarified repeatedly that they do not have a used games system figured out but that they do want to support it. There is often the oft repeated statement about not being able to share games amongst friends and family. Once again, everyon is hanging on to the poor information from the original press release. Since then MS has clarified that you can share your game with up to 10 "family" members on any number of game systems anywhere. More clarification on that is coming but it seems that you will be able to add people to your friends and family style account so that it works on their xbox.

PS4 also hasn't show a lot about their system and they may have some awesome stuff in store for us. It may also be simply that the only way they can compete is by selling their system piece by piece so morons will see the lower price and think it's a clear choice.
