It does not matter if you click the ads.  We sell ads based on impressions, not clicks/results.  So even if you don't click the ads you hurt our entire site by running a blocker.  Running adblock on a site that supports itself with advertisements is no different than downloading pirated movies, music or video games.  You are in a sense stealing our content that we work hard to create and pay to an entire team to create.

This is stupid. There are a myriad of reasons one run a AdBlocker. Most already mentioned here. Sure you can whitelist sites, but calling your visitors thief's is plain stupid. I went from pro- mmorpg to anti-  in 1second. so. Good Bye! I ain't staying on a site that, was it the CEO?,  accuses me of theft. If you are so desperate, find other ways of maintaining the site. But never ever accuse your visitors of being thief's.

On another forum I got a PM about how the elections work, so I thought I was gonna take the opportunity to explain that in here as well.

The Election
We also proud ourselves as a democratic guild. In other guilds the guild it self may stand and fall by the activities of the self-proclaimed leader and officers. RFI do thing's a bit different.
When we enter a new game we set up an interim leadership to get things started. It's composed of people that has been in the guild for sometime and know our ways. Then after about 2-4 months we hold an election, where everyone with member status can nominate any of our members to the positions of leader and officers. New elections can be held at the new leader's choice later on, if e.g. an officer have to step down, a new one is elected as above.

Or so we would like to think. Created in the GW1 beta, exported to various games like (but not limited to) LotRO, WAR, AION, AoC and SW:TOR we now come full circle and claim our place amongst the proud and eager guilds of Guild Wars 2.

We aim for fun! - to achieve this we have created a family-friendly and mature climate with the respect for our guildies and fellow players alike. Where a helpful and honest game-play brings us closer as a guild.

Though we have a presence in a few other games each chapter don't tend to be overly large. At peak moments of existence it may be around 50 not including alts, during our lows we end up at around 15. Guild Wars 2 allows a myriad of ways to play the game and we intend to get involved in as many as we possibly can. RFI have a tendency to be more about PvE then PvP, but I know we already have a few members who are very eager to battle out in WvWvW, and stay there.

Many of our members tend to spend quite a few hours on-line playing, though we label ourself "casual" in that meaning that we do not go for a hardcore raiding play style.

4 things that are good to know:
* We are looking for anyone who think that fun is about playing the game, helping others when they can and generally having a good time rather then seeing the game as some kind of hardcore virtual work.
* Since we have members from all over Europe, we use English as the common language.
* Though age is but a number, most if not all, of our members are 18+ and we think that this is a good starting age for our new members.
* RFI is a democratic guild. Once the guild is established our members choose their leader and officers by nomination and voting.

I'm amazed over how many trailers that are made where the focus seem to be on displaying the title and who's making the game, instead on the game itself. Well done, yet another one.

on the other hand I think it's wise for them NOT to build up a huge hype on this one, atleast not yet.

Never understood this FF hype, bad choice.

I for one did not read all the posts, i stopped when it turned to a flame about skills and turbine and whatever. wasn't that much ontopic (yes yes balances, i know).

Anyways, someone asked me a question about playing evil chars like the regular chars... I, as a dedicated MPvP player (and I think I have alot of them on my side when I say this) would NEVER like to see LOTRO turn to a rabid all PvP gank feast camping Bree. LOTRO is a great PvE game and MoM expansion is just awsome. And that is should stay! But as many of long time creeps I feel the Moors a bit small sometime. And beleve it or not, it can be fun to do some PvE with your favorite creep to get some DP or money. But unless you do so when Turbine releases a new expansion, or playing odd hours you'll have a burgler stabing your back before you can say "Niice Hobitsesss". So some kind of Monster character only part would be fun :) But they have to come up with some more interesting missions then what they have now :P Just as I grow fond of my little Hobbit hunter or my Elf champion I really like my squishy spider and I think it would be fun to have a Monster character to develop from Hatchling to Den Mother or what you might call it. Yes here are things as Rank, but that is PvP and not the same as PvE development.
On the question about being able to just jump into PvP with a premade lvl 60. Yes it is great to be able to do so. And as I said earlier I tend to spend more time in the Ettenmoors as a creep then on my regular char. But sometimes I just want something more for my creep :)

I have played alot of MPvP, enough to sometimes make it my main charater.  I would personally very much like to have a chance to play my "dark side" charaters just like i play my "hero side" ones.   But to be honest I think it would be hard for Turbine to make it happen, balances and stuff. And from what I have read it's nothing they plan to do.

Yea, I miss the forums too.  But GuildCafe is a pretty good site as a backup.   Setting up a user account there is encouraged  :)

I've been in RFI since august playing LOTRO, and I could not have joined up with a better one. Nice and helpfull people that playes fair and enjoy fun play.

I strongly recomend joining up RFI in AoC, I will for sure!
