TBH medic is a necessity now. The buffs you give and the heals are necessary to fight bosses., unless you use a spy.

Spies cloak and throw poisons, once the boss is down to half health the other players in party beat down the boss since they are agrod on the spy, who is cloaked and throwing poisons, and can't be hit by the npcs.

Medic or spy, you are indispensable to players doing high end content.

hehe ,well after over 3 years of playing eveonline since early alpha beta for me well am abit worn out , i still love the game but have done alot in that waste world , i now play swg on chilitra server not how it's spelled .

thanks for the advice i play a spy atm .. i guess my 2nd slot will be a medic 100% now :)

Yeah i did it come back to swg and rolled a spy am lv 22 now and just wondering how medics are in combat and pvp , dont get me wrong i like my spy just wondering how strong and how they fair overall in swg since chap 6 .

am used to playing healers in these games but ..... i didnt in swg any details would be nice .

I just quit eveonline after 3 years of playing , the 0.0 sector playing just got ot me , forced pvp and sometimes not being able to undock because of wars just isnt fun anymore imo , i have come to swg a few days ago rolled a spy on chilastra and loving my time there,

am really surprise how busy the game still is considering how many forums say it dead , i guess you have to know where to look or depends where you are in the game .

overall i recommend people to give it a spin who know you might just like it and specially now that combat is harder the need for groups will coem back .

my only problem now is finding a fun guild with people online my xeorcia ingame look me up we can go hunting. bbye

Been playing on lucan Dlere for 3 years now and their a fine bunch of players and nice guilds to help most new players out there.

I mean you can find bad players everywhere , there no hiding from that in any server or any game for that matter.

Do you realise this game is fully open pvp warfare, i mean just trying to help here and also there not much as pve going on here.

Wow players are so sensitive , make me wanna hand them a kleenex.

Yeah i didnt like SL too much either , felt too everquest but some do like it better than the old world i prefer good old rubi-ka

wow is already old and very plain , next please the  only players that grave this game are those that are to their very first mmo experience.

they actually believe wow started the mmo trend hell they think wow creATED the universe .....

please  go read on the mmorpg's history , and another thing wow community has not more than 20 years old average age at best , if you compare to eveonline which have a average age of 27 years old said by the devs themselves.

last comment,  their no best only different kinds of games for different peoples exmPLE  i love eveonline to me it's a good game and i have fun in it , but i dont think it's the best . i dont hate wow my friends at work play it and it's their first mmo .

I dont think it will happen any time soon as funcom are working hard on realease a new mmo called age of conan , maybe after it's release we can only hope and dream .

It's true about about the graphics they are very dated , normal for a game that been running 7 years , but the gameplay is very strong imo , implants and tweaking is the strongpoints of the game , there no limit almost what you can do if you work for it planning is key.

but overall my best time in a mmo was in ao community best bunch i have ever meet , their even some organisations that been going strong for years and even now they are still alive.

Even though ao show it age in a world of 3rd gen mmo's , ao will always have a place as my favorite mmo , not because of graphics , not because of loot , not because uber gear , not because of raidings big bosses . . . 

well because as a whole ao has given more than any other online game out there, and i have been playing mmo's since 1999 .

Do you realise ao was one of the first mmo's to have instance content in the form of missions.i for one have played ao since launch and boy has ao given alot to the world of mmorpg's :

Self made missions, As a solo player this is paradise even though i agree it could be work better and more variety , beside name me a game that has this? please dont name swg .

For god sake give ao some slack i think given their bad launch they now deserve our respect as a good game and funcom as a respectful company.

I would say Yes to all those questions except pvp , personally i didnt enjoy the pvp in eq2 because it's a system made out from a pve game which imo fails to be fun for any length of time.

Go on AB or Lucan server and find a good guild and you will have fun for a long time so many classes to try and so many zones to explore plus their raiding content to keep you busy for months to come

1- can run on any low end  computer

2- it's blizzard large fan base of previous games

3- Simple quest system, ex: markers over npc names

4- fast leveling, which makes for early raiding

5- graphics which will never need upgrading

---- and last what funny it like folks at my work play wow like 4 or 5 of them except me , and most of them are on their 1st mmo experience , THAT the key i believe alot of wow fans are on their first experience in this type of gaming .

First you have to ask yourself , what do you like  in  a mmorpg?

if after trying over 15 mmorpg's you dont like any of them maybe they are not for you , am in the same boat honest i must of tried every online game their is free ones paying ones even odd games like second life or sims online. bottom line is i have learned  to try others things like playing Wii or Xbox 360 games like oblivion or legend of zelda .

Well this is just a though i know i will be trying alot of mmorpg in this incoming year

One more detail i would like to bring to this about eq2 animations all of the eq2 animations were done on blue screen with real actors

to make it simple a real live person with with electronics devices attached to them to record each move, that why actions,moves,martial arts moves look so real and realistics ,not to take anything away from wow which have in my book the 2nd best animations imo they are not the most realistics but very well made anyways.

those thet tried Vanguard ,well saw some very bad animations i was really disapointed in them in vanguard myself.

your right gunboat was a mistype meant for to say missileboat, been flying it for months dont know how i made that mistake.

drake is awesome gunboat with great resists,i use all the time for missions, for pvp it's kinda ok missiles are kinda slow but turn it into a ewar ship with a fleet and it rocks again.

i find i like my gallente nano-domi for pvp close range better , i know it's a classic set-up but still good in the age of new ships .

hmmm not sure what the poor amarr ships are good for these days.

I played eq2 from launch t'ill last month,

eq2 has best chracter animation in any mmo point.

eq2 lots lots of quests more than you can ever do .

eq2 better community than wow , i was on lucan dlere a RP server, well to me it was and guilds felt like home not just a tag over your head with 200 players.

eq2 better grouping chances , i noticed that players in eq2 tend to group more by default In wow where players try really really hard to solo everthing to death instead of grouping.

eq2 has Housing :) speaks for itself

eq2 not a pvp game , theirs pvp servers but i fond it boring tbh go play a fps if oyu want pvp action

eq2 more races and classes to have fun with.

eq2 more complexe crafting systems if your into crafting , ex: make your spells,jewerly,and even a enchanting system a la wow

eq2 has about 225k subcribers ok it's not 8M but it's more than enough to be fun .

well that a few things .... yes i played wow for 6 months i dont play eq2 anymore i play eveonline.
