same here hated aoc , EQ2 sound like my type of game

I know the game is quite old but dark age of camelot had a neat combat sytem imo , all those positional attacks and chain attacks were very nice addition.

matrix had a interesting one  too but was aweful in groups.

Am playing DDO atm and it's combat is fun and lively .kinda like fps style.

also liked the old swg combat with the kneel , crouch thing was nice , but we all know what happened to that . . .

you can make isk exploration , what it does if you know how to use you scanner you can find hidden belts anomalies , but dont go in them alone use a shuttle rats dont aggro in them , and bring a buddy and clear that hidden place .

there alot alot of thing to find out in eve , just learning the whole thing is like one big quest .

Lv3 and 4 agent missions are worthwhile they contain :

bounties , loot drops , plus you can salvage and also in certain missions you get whole fields of omber etc ... keep misison open and mine all that .

this can get long but it's nice isk if you do everything.

Not really a mmo , but sacred gold is fun hack and slash game in the same vein as D2 .

Cancelled too , wont say why it's not a bad game too much solo power and instancing made me feel like i was playing a single player rpg's .

playing D2 on bnet with a friend now having a blast all over again .

It's a good game live with it .

I find it very hard going back to a high level character in AO , i usually reroll .

Let hope AO revive again it's a great game overall , and yes there are still alot of folks playing just not as much as in the golden years.

I doubt i will continue AOC feel so much like a solo rpg , even all of my guild all solo , so funny seeing 15 players all play by themself .

Back to my 2 Ao 5$ a month account such a bargain .

cleric for sure , psi is kinda harder at low level but they have revamped the psi the dots they have are stronger now , so check it out on forums for feedback .

we are not going to forums AOC to say it is a shit instance, which has more bug that the vanguard, which is half translated, that the PvE and craft is a shit, which is the pvp for Barbie, etc.

what do you expect in a mmorpg =

1- combat

2- races/classes

3- crafting

4- pvp

5- raiding

6- loot

I tried/played beta many current and old rpg's and believe they ALL come to the same thing , different feel to them different skin , different package and different theme .

What can a mmorpg really do to stand out from the rest ?? , I havent found an answer yet and i dont think i ever will .

anyways . . . i really dont see any point to all this complaning and not only about VG or others games.

Best free game would Guild wars hands down . then there anarchyonline with their Froob version.

Hellgate london is nice too if you like action RPG's.

Maybe they will do characters afterwards who knows , i still  ao love even after all these years .

you can easily change instance to be with friends , there am arrow next to the mini map .

geez people are so impatience.

For the record am pleased with the game , am ganna stay for a long long time .

too bad for the others that ONLY played 3 days to judge.

All i can say , i dont lag i run 68 FPS average , i have never crashed , am having fun , the quests are very well done , no quests involving killing any rats or boars etc .....

i mean i dont want to rant at the OP but if you dont like it fine , but at least explain why ?

one of the reason i quit VG i like  group alot , i hate to solo for too long , and VG is the worst for my type of play .

it get better as you level up though and get into a guild it helps , anyhow it's a great game .

they will be doing a 1 starter zone soon in the futur which will help with new players maybe i'll give VG another try some day .
