Yeah, you have to attain certain levels for certain ships, but the biggest baddest ships weren't always. After you get some flying and fighting skill, I had a lot more fun fighting eels in a clone than an HF. Jumpgate had a lot going for it, despite the poor graphics. I'm not sure exactly what happened to it though.

This is pretty much the worst game ever. Yeah, the promo stuff is real good, makes it look good, but once you get in to the game.....suckfest.

the update or 2 before the latest big update, with the new engine and all, broke the game for anyone with roadrunner. Of course FOM blamed roadrunner, but whatever.

before I try again I'd like to know if it's fixed or not, and also if it's easier to tell between factions.

The game isn't bad it's not just a takeyoubythehand and lead you game. it's very open ended.

Jumpgate was a lot of fun until they outsourced their support. Then the game became "carebear" and fell apart. I played it for a long time and it was really god, great physics, nice ai combat. but once...th...someing, I can't remember the company, took over it all went to blah. I have box 33 of 30000, last I saw there were like 15 people online....I hope they can do better with this.

It's one of those things that as long as it's been around it should be much much better. I wasn't really impressed with the gameplay and the graphics are pretty 1997.

Obvious

Shotonline is a great deal of fun. It's relaxing like real golf too. At least most of the time. I hate zining one around the lip of the cup and missing par.

But seriously, if you are tired of grinding to level and want to do something besides bash mobs this is the game for you.

computer systems

This is a good post. I'm always leery of any game that rushes to go gold, and especially so of game that want you to preorder when they don't even have a working product. I wonder how many kids get caught up in these types of things.

In the beginning I found that to be very true as well. Since that time they have been updating at least twicw a week. There is still a lot to fix and impolement I think. There should be at least some NPC driven missions or quests to get you to figure out how the game works. But try it again, you may be suprised.

Yeah it looks like someone else posted a link to a cached page. Games take time. They could hurry and spit out crap, or they can take their time and get it right. It's not something you throw together over a weekend.

If it was this morning there were some major updates going on in advance of Thursdays launch. I too experienced so login issues, but it's fine now.

Well I've signed up for the open beta and was supposed to get an email w/ download information. That was over a week ago and so far nothing. Anyone else have any news?
