its come to my attention that i join this forum hoping to get some help and a friendly face, but that dont happen i go on other threads. i talk and then immediatly get attacked by forum members. if this is always like this then it seems to me mmorpg have relaxed the rules on and sort of picking on by members. i know full well that being on this site is a privilage, and not a right.
because i have been attacked, i have said stuff that i should not have, only because im acting in self-defense. every other forum i visit has a member welcome me in at the very least (by help or just hello). so what, i might be whining but this has been bottled up since i joined this forum, and its about time i explained in a rational manner why the members here are not friendly (doesnt mean everyone). and why im having difficultly trying to talk to anyone without a communication break down eg. not being friendly, arrogance, ignorance etc. etc. i understand that people have a right to what they do, but how friendly this place is? well it will drive someone to the point where they start swearing and get themselves banned because another person is playing 'teachers pet'. i am doing my best to control what i say without hitting any rules. im sure there are members out there that can relate to this and know what its like. so, why is there no forum friendliness??? |

Perpetual Studios Version Discussion « Star Trek Online 11/15/06 10:47:53 AM
bolian for me, hard workers you cant miss them, have good personalities. eg, chell st:ef2 or ty st: away team, good science brains.
if not that then Denobulan, 4 wivies to look after and excellent socialist and not bad behind the weapon either, much like doctor phlox on st: enterprise. or andorian, be like shran from st : enterprise, persistant and crude. |

Plain and Simple... don't do it. CCP lies to its members.

i think this is a grude match with some people and a stupid game. why do people put years into this game? because they wanted to, so in all honesty you the person who joined is the one to be blamed. it just happened that in real life it dont matter what you do, there is always someone there to stab you in the back, get used to it...
also dont anyone read the legal or copyright stuff anymore? you will see that anything can change what it likes and still remains in its respective owners hands without penatlies appiled. you of all people should of known that |

its not very smart asking other people for reviews i myself got question by someone on another thread about this exact thingof course on a different game.
but what the hey!. you can play 4 different races, they all have different ship types, you can make an avatar you can change the face and what they look like (as with most games you have a certain face and you can edit things but it dont matter really), you can choose 3 different attibutes to your character, you also get to choose what your character is like, eg science, military. once you done this your choise to explore upto and i think around 5000 systems. you start at a no pvp zone at one of the school bases orbiting a planet, you can choose missions, harvest, trade, become a traitor, smuggler, explorer, i think you can even go planet or star hugging the system works like this in the top corner of your screen you will see the system name and a friendliness point, from 1.0 - 0.0. 1.0 = very friendly system. to 0.0 = enemy space where is are alot of pirates running around with thier cartel. 0.0 also means pvp is allowed and thier might be systems you will have to go through in order to reach a certain target. there is an email system to work around, as well as mission list and galaxy map. also the game has a fluctuating economy (basically put you look at something you wanted to buy say on saturday but dont have the money, you come back on monday and find out its 20k cheaper). thier is also as you know a upgrade system for your person. thier is also a tutorial to help you along with most stuff, if your not american it will take some time to get it down(no offense). also there also corperations you can join. the bad points. - this is the bad side no one pubishes. you can get really bored in space if your trading reason is simple there is a auto pilot function you can use it will take you there vice versa, so your sat there half a-sleep. when harvesting you goto certain areas and mine a rock (you will need patience for this and i mean patience) it takes a while to harvest and then take it back to either refine or sell, this becomes tedious and boring. the community is poor, most of the time some person talks and its usually about general house maintance or something like that - dull. there are too many functions in the game and can become very complex, so you wish to get bored out of your mind trying to figure the buttons then you can do that. the upgrade system works in real life hours, say you wanted minmarar frigate VI, about 2-3 days. so your stuck there waiting for that to be complete, also you can upgrade one at a time. i think thats most of the major points covered. |

thanks for your useless info. im beginningto wonder about joining this forum at all!.
it was not supposed to be a review, its supposed to be a complaint. as for the mining, i mean for 4 days this has been happening for all my chars and possibly other people... just forget it you dont want me to express my opinion then by all means ban me. you question the way i say stuff i hate that. but i am mindful of the rules so i wont comment any further. |

They decided to do Level based leveling.
General Discussion « Stargate Worlds 11/14/06 6:32:11 PM
if this had great graphics very good plot and quest storyline. i love SG1 and SGA, if its as good and is immersive as say Ryzom them i will play it simply put im a happy hardcore space gamer. i even play wing commander and freespace just to show how hardcore i am.
what i mean by great plot and storyline is something like freespace or freelancer. you get deeply involved, such as kill these ships and keep protecting something only to find some unknown ships you cant target and it destroys more of less most of your fighter wing and the ship your protecting. but if its something like straight kill bring it back some upgrades, go back straight kill come back more upgrades, you can forget it, another knight online!. bugged, lagged and terrible. |

lol welcome to the real world im only 19 but i understand fully that i only have a breif time in existance, and is true humans get bored quickly, i referr you to what a character of a space game said. "if i can only experience a breif moment in this galaxy" - Sincliare, Freelancer (extract).
What mad wrote earlier in this thread nearly hit the nail on the head really, albiet only good points no negitives. apart from that its like most games, heres something to most gamers from ANY genre, its all basically the same platform where it be 1st person shooter to AOE 3 to Barbie dolls etc. the platform basically is you need to get it, watch the roleplay like every game and you are limited to what you do and kill the same stuff, same holds true for ryzom, your limited to 5 lvls, roots, jungle, desert and so on. where it holds the same for 1st person shooters, (old game) corridor 7 you on different levels just shooting the same old monsters your going though levels roleplaying it plus gather exerience from each game and knowing where everything is, the same for kiloblaster or battlefield 2. *back to the point* as for ryzom the only real thing that is fun with this game is character creation, i mean you can take the buiscuit by create a big boned character and laugh at the computer image(but never in real life). what isnt fun though in negative points is the harvesting, this skill will turn me away fron this game for that reason. against all other reasons like grahpics and crafting etc, reason why i say this because i mean it annoys me so much that i keep too much anger inside i will have a heart attack (useless fact 15). i seriously think that needs a reworking. |

i belive what snakey wrote was a revenge attack, snakey try again it didnt work.
im just saying its a money making scheme, by the time they are finished with eve online, they would of launched eve 2 more money making(the same way the advertising buissness works, they advertise trainers and make a fat wallet then do another shoe with some modifications and make more wads of cash), i guess no one is interested in this my comments. well when you want a comment off me thats true just ask |

EVE ONLINE IS AN RMT GAME ENDORSED BY CCP DONT LET THEM TELL YOU OTHERWISE!
Jita (General) « EVE Online 11/09/06 6:27:55 PM
i love eve online i played the 30 day trial thanks to a friend. its great game, but the prices reek big time, what i mean is this eve online is a huge money making scheme and i for one wont have that, there not getting rich off me. i assume thats what that person wrote about ccp all i can say is its happend and that wont change unfortunatly, usually game moderators and administrators wont change a thing until there satified with the wads of cash they got... or until the game gets out of date, either way! we are all stuck with this so i dont think anymore of it.
as for new players, its a bit harsh on new players to join any games that require mothly and full game pay ups, no one can encounter what games are out there, and what there like. hence they buy a game like eve find out its not for them only to spend 80 odd quid(referring back to money making scheme). as a new player to eve myself and out of experience its a barren landscape and the only access to water is via money... |
