you cant drag onto collection in 'Living' tab - so keep in backpack (u can buy additional to increase capacity) - when u have all the resources collected from mobs - speak to appropriate npc in hefie (they are all stood along the side with wan dye) - and again select your reward from the options....

1. no craft, therefore no community interdependence, therefore not much ingame community
   • and no RPing (hence MMO not MMORPG)
2. no centralised auctuion house type thingy requires AFK shops or sell to npc for peanuts
   • except Archlord
3. no / little character customisations - your char always ends up looking like everyone elses
   • sure 9Dragons and Archlord have some, but chars still all tend look the same
4. storyline / questing are all thin on the ground or unsatisfactory in terms of XP and providing reasons / answers to the point of the game, which limit the games to...
5. grind, grind, grind - sooner, or even earlier than that, they all boil down to farming the same mobs over ond over again before moving on to the next lot to farm
6. combat, whichever classes you play, the combat quickly becomes repetetive reducing players to automatons, so much so they are often replaced by....
7. bots, as well as gold farmers and the rest of the MMO dregs that stick to these games like flies to sh1t

all that said, if u like Grindfests 9Dragons is the one to go for by a mile (at least till Archlord goes ftp, but you'll still need to pay for the client, or perhaps 2moons will break the mould [with swearing at least])

 American RPGs character designs always bore me... Almost every single one has some type of elf and orcs in it... Cant they come out with some more original designs instead of re usings the same crap over and over..

Everquest = Elves and Orcs
Vanguard = Elves and Orcs
Oblivion = Elves and Orcs
War Hammer = Elves and Orcs

 

I dont know I just get sick of seeing, killing or playing as the same race of character in every game... Cant they come up with a orginal design and race no one has seen before... Now im not saying the games arent or wont be fun but the character designs in most american MMORPGs always look plain and bore me... Seriously how many "Lord of The rings" type chracters do we need in MMORPGs...

well i dont know about you but if you just play for graphics then whats the point of playing a game? u wanna see GOOD graphics go watch a movie or something...cuz graphics isnt EVERYTHING in a game its the game play as well, and i liked the game...(its been a LONG time since i stay up 18+ hours playing any game and i made 35lvls!)

BUT the only thing i hate(well maybe not hate but dislike) about this game is yea you lvl up and stuff...you have SO MANY styles to play and its great but when u learn a new style and have to lvl it all up and do more dmg jsut to lvl up your char and learn a new style jsut to start over again sucks...

one thing that FASCINATES me tho is the land with the buildings etc...only thing they lack is npc's to fill it up...for example wutang HQ all the buildings have only 1 npc or none...it would be kool to have some npc's doing the fighting styles at the courtyard while the head master watches them up at the stairs( instead of him jsut staring at an empty floor by himself) 

when my brother told me he got in as a beta tester we all got excited to try it out...i got to play on the 3rd day cuz i waited for my turn...but anyway something that really troubles me...when i started i was lagging pretty bad...and i mean 1 step wait 10 secs 1 step wait another 10 sec...i turned down the settings to pretty much playable for me and a few hours later it started lagging again...then i told my bro to buy me a 1 gig stick of memory hehe so now i have 2 gigs of memory..this time it was still like 1 step 3 secs...my point is my COMP (2.8ghz duo core 2gig ram 512mb ati radeon x1600 vid card) was much more updated then my bro's comp 2.0ghz 2gig ram 256mb vid card (we bought this comp about 6-7 yrs ago) he his game play was MUCH better than mine no lag whatsoever...thats when i jsut gave up on this game even tho its still in beta i dont see why i would want to play it if its this bad for me....on the other hand my brother says its great and hes already pre ordered 2...since i only got my guy to like lvl 3 or something he told me its kinda like UO in 3d graphics...its skilled based and you can do lots of things but thats jsut his opinion, and its a game im probably not going to play...

also my comp's been really slow lately ever since my bro upgraded my comp with windows vistas, maybe that might be the case but anyway i jsut hope u all enjoy the game...

i was a big fan of UO myself, and i've followed my older brother into all the MMO's hes been to...like UO,EQ,EQ2,Lineage2,AO,DAOC,WoW, and so much more but u get the point....one of my PERSONAL favorite was earth and beyond...and it was the first space mmo i tried and loved it until EA close the servers...anyway its been 2 years now and i've been on and off going back to the games i played....the only one im hoping to play is Infinity quest for earth, although its going to be a few years in the making to come, i jsut hope it is kinda like or much better than earth and beyond...

all i can say is LOL, i basically read almost all the posts in here cuz i needed to kill time (patching a game) anyway do u see how fun it is? almost everyone is arguing about something or whatnot (against each other--good guy vs bad guy)....my point is its fun dont u guys see it?this is what made UO so fun....LOL....good side vs bad side....if someone didnt start this post there wouldnt be so many arguments....but being able to argue back and forth is fun wouldnt u all agree?...otherwise u wouldnt be arguing so much...anyway i wouldnt know which side is good and which is bad....but if u all were in the game all the pvp lovers would be waiting at the moongate on fel side and all the pve(or whatever u like doing in tram) players are on tram moongate side yelling at each other through moongate communication....ROFL...i dont know i have a wierd imagination...but like some or most people said without good and evil COEXISTING its not so fun...

anyway ok a different note...if u read about the new expansion coming out i had a post saying that i recently quit UO nov.23,06....and while i was playing there was still the halloween event going where the gatekeeper or whatever his name was pops up at any graveyard in tram and follows you till u die or kill him....it took about 10-20 (chased to town) people to kill him some got rezzes others didnt...but my point is that was a red NPC in TRAM....if they could gather that much people to kill a red npc and was fairly easy...would people in tram dare try it in fel? im pretty sure the event wouldnt even exist...i dont know if everyone gets my concept but yea....
