It took me 4 years to finally get bored of WoW if that helps. Whether you are a casual gamer, hardcore, like to PvP, or PvE it has content for you.

Characters are not original so you run around looking like everyone else of your class. They are extremely vague saying if they plan to include more custom options such as hair style, hair color, skin color, and what not.

While it's not the worst game I have played it is on the list of the ones I don't care to play again. I agree with everything that people have already stated about the game play and what not.

Your wife sounds a lot like me. The two games I am looking at in the future is Aion and Darkfall. Have her check them out and see what she thinks.

Do you want an mmo that takes awhile to level or are you more casual? Also is human interaction a must majority of the time? (In some older mmo's people have been a high level for awhile and there are few new people running around)

I have also gotten bored with my latest MMO (WoW - played since open beta). Until Darkfall comes out I will be playing Last Chaos. The game is pretty good for a free MMO. It reminds me of a mix between Lineage II and Guild Wars.

Personally speaking I am one of those players who has gotten bored with WoW. I have a level 70 Draenei Priest and I just don't find the game as exciting as it used to be. WoW is a great game though because it has something to offer for every player type. Wether you are a casual, hardcore, Pvper, PvEer, farner, or explorer type of player... it is in WoW and it is fun for awhile.

I really don't see Warhammer being any major threat to WoW since it is mostly said to be about PvP. A game I just recently looked at that does have a chance vs WoW would be Darkfalls. The game make up is unique enough to have grabbed my attention unlike most other MMOs.
