Edit Add: Just cleared all history and it seemed to have fixed it. *shrug*

I use the most up to date Mozilla Firefox with Noscript. I temporarily allowed all scripts on this website and noticed the original issue of this post is only on one theme for me which is the dark theme. The light theme for the website is fine. It just happened a few days ago for me.

The reason you probably don't play any alts/secondary games is because you are having so much fun on your primary character/game that there is no reason to try other things. I am the same way and the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." comes to mind.

Thank you.

Ahh that makes a little more sense then. Thanks for the info.

Uhm yeah....me too.

The only thing I can think of that would actually make this a LITTLE useful, is if it also sorted people by their gear level and kept track of who has been kicked from PuGs for either totally sucking or ninja looting (and specified which).

There is nothing to guarantee a good PuG. Even well-geared people can be bad choices if they're ninja looters, jerks, etc.....

I just don't see how this really does a THING that LFG panel doesn't already do.

I totally agree with girlgeek.

This game looks very similar to 4Story. They even have the same characters in their backgrounds on their websites. The story for each game is also somewhat similar. *raise eyebrow*

Yes, Blizzard will sort out this problem if you are the original account owner and know all of the information you had upon creating the account. A few questions they ask you are your address, your secret question answer, and around the time it happened. If your account has been hacked several times they even may ask you to print out a form that you have to get notarized saying it is your account and all that jazz. You would also have to fax a copy of your license with that form, but if this is your first time then you will more than likely get it back from just talking on the phone.

Once you get your account back you can make an in game petition telling them of your situation and your account should be restored to what it used to be in a few days. If they can't restore it with everything you will just get your BoP items back.

My question is about the website and its game list requirements. I am curious why games such as Rakion, Exteel, and Gunbound International are listed and Diablo 2 isn't. I understand that a game like Guild Wars is listed because of the rule:

"The game must include some form of common area where players can interact with one another inside of the persistent game world. This excludes lobby and chat room based interaction. Exceptions are made where logical (such as sports MMOs) that still fit within the spirit of what an MMO is."

... but the games I listed supposedly don't fit that. I say supposedly because I have never personally played Rakion and Exteel so I don't know how they work. So my question is why were exceptions made for the games I listed and not a game such as Diablo 2?

This question pops up fairly often in the forums so it'd be nice to get a formal answer that I or others could point people to. I am asking this question in reference to another thread which is Why isn't Diablo 3 included in the game list?, but I can understand why Diablo 3 would not be listed.

I'm pretty sure WoW didn't cause your eye blindness. Do some reading at emedicinehealth.com and wrongdiagnosis.com then you'll see why I say that.

It seems that while early MMOs were much more hardcore, companies are starting to see that the game has to fit your lifestyle, not having your lifestyle revolve around the game.

It sure took them, the companies, awhile to realize that if they are just starting to see.

Now I just hope they realize there needs to be more than just vanilla and chocolate as flavors for games.

I really liked the series. I noticed a lot of commonalities whenever I had met some friends from an MMO also. I just wish the episodes were longer.

Definitely a good post. Personally I don't understand why people are looking for realism in a game when they know right away that there's going to be people who can cast fireballs out of thin air, you're going to die/resurrect at some point, or you can replenish health with a potion.

On a slightly different subject I remember that Everquest had done something similar to what this post is talking about and I don't believe I have seen it done in any other MMOs that I have played. A weapon would actually drop if the mob you were killing was holding a weapon and then when you looted it then it would disappear. I don't think it happened with robes and many other things as well, but I do remember it happening with humanoids holding weapons.

Go to the Game List, sort by Release Date, scroll towards the bottom, and then look at the column stating if it has PvP or not. The two crossed swords means it has PvP. If you're looking for a specific type of PvP though you will have to state what you're looking for.

You could always try mikeb@mmorpg.com or stradden@mmorpg.com. if you don't know who they are go to the About Us section on the website.

These posts may also shed some light on your question as well. While they are not specifically about your game they are related to your question and may help you:

Overall... be patient.

I can't say I cared for that quiz. Too few questions and options which caused it to be inaccurate in my opinion.

I like the What Type of Gamer Are You? more. (Yes another Facebook quiz)

I imagine WoW became famous because it was the only one at the time to offer casual game play. In Everquest it took you about six months to a year to hit max level and in WoW it took you about a month. It was the first of the kind. I also believe it continues to stay famous because it is now a well polished game that offers many other options during game play. If you don't like to PvE then you can PvP or if you don't like large raids/guilds then you could do ten man raids/guilds. Add onto that crafting, exploring, dungeon crawls, low pc requirements, and you have found why it has become famous.

Well I know of one non-violent MMO and it's called The Endless Forest. Also in Wizard 101 I don't believe mobs are actually killed. They call it defeated and since it is a card dueling system I imagine it's similar to something like Pokemon where people don't actually die if they are beat in a battle.

I can't say I ever saw killing mobs in an MMO as a nightmare or anything even close. I always saw it as a fight between good and evil and I wouldn't want my world to be taken over by evil creatures so I am fighting to keep it alive. Also I don't believe many MMOs are actually dark and depressing. The first and only one that comes to mind that is close to that thought would be Requiem: Bloodymare and I haven't found another game like that.

I'm surprised this question hasn't been asked yet in the off topic forums. Maybe it was and it got knocked back a few pages, got deleted, or I just missed it. Anyways do you think the world is going to end on December 21, 2012? If you actually have no idea what I am talking about then feel free to visit THIS wikipedia link.

Personally I am 90% sure nothing will happen. I only say 90% because there's always room in my mind for the possibility of anything and everything. I definitely won't be spending any time building underground shelters stocked with as much stuff as I can find or become religious just so I don't go to hell. I've lived a good life, not very long though, and I am ready if it does actually take place.

So... if you answered yes then feel free to tell us what your end of the world plans are.

A better date would have been December 21, 2012.

I'm sorry, but that's a lie. If you loved MMORPGs you wouldn't pay other people to play them for you. You'd be happy with whatever time you could afford to devote to them.

This isn't a valid argument in my mind. I don't think it's likely for a person to love every aspect of a game. It's like saying if you aren't taking part in everything a game has to offer then you don't really love the game and shouldn't be playing. That's silly. There's always something else to do if you don't like raiding/grouping/crafting or some other aspect, but not grinding money and we all know money makes the world go around. Of course in this thought I did not include the games where you can purchase items/gold from a games shop and I am only referring to those MMOs where you can't.

(Not directed at ChrisMattern, but to just anyone that decides to read it)

Personally I think the only way to totally stop the distribution of gold/items, against the EULA, would be to not allow player to player trades at all or an auction house. Making the only way to make profit on items is to sell it to an NPC vendor. With that in effect there would be no way around it then would there? For the most part cash shops and item malls do help in canceling out the illegal trading, but it wouldn't totally kill it since third parties could always sell for a slightly lower amount. If money couldn't be traded from person to person and items could then gold buyers could always throw a worthless item up on an auction house and a gold seller could buy it. There is also the option to have a more intense policing of a game, but it definitely wouldn't catch everyone.

Maybe all of those ideas have been brought up already, but like I said before I only skim though most posts.
